I kind of feel like he's the next overrated guy who is going to be called up and mis-used in the WWE, and all you guys talking about how great he is are just going to move onto the next next big thing in NXT, and forget about him. It's like a band you only like when other people don't know about them and when they become known you don't like them anymore. We'll see. I kinda feel like some of you guys will be gushing over Finn Balor or Kevin Owens or whomever comes along next - it always happens. I think Sami is good, not great. Maybe I'm just anti-ginger. But I'm all for anybody who's going to make the WWE a better product. That mentality kills me. I remember everyone loving The Usos but once they won the Tag Titles and beat Harper and Rowan people started to hate them and they became the "Cenas of tag teams." If I loved someone from the indies, I love them when they make it big. Take Daniel Bryan, CM Punk and Seth Rollins for example. ...so I did the Usos thing backwards? Damn.

I was cringing at Neville on the mic. Holy sh*t he's bad. And people think Cesaro has no charisma, Neville is like a saltine cracker. ...You realize he's in development for that reason, right? What's Cesaros excuse?

It wasn't mind blowing, but still good. Here's to a bright future.

I'm always a fan of his on the mic. He's not usually grand and over the top, but he always seems to be speaking in earnest, which I think is missing a lot of the time. He's one of the most believable people on the mic today.
the fact that he's usually calmer made this promo that much better because when he flipped out you paid attention. It was different and it was believable.
I had been worried about them stretching his chase too long, but no.It has been perfect.
On a less popular note, I thought Neville was fine too. Sure, he's a bit awkward, but he also feels believable to me. I'd rather someone who didn't say his lines perfectly, but felt real to someone who just seems to be playing a role.

It never ceases to amaze me that a guy who spent almost his entire career under a mask and speaking broken Spanish can have that much charisma. He's just naturally an insanely likeable dude and you want to see him succeed.

The people that thought WWE were ruining him by taking the mask gimmick off him must feel pretty silly when they see how good he is now.

I was catching up on some NXT, and you can't help but root for Sami Zayn. There's just something genuine about the guy and he puts on superb matches.

What's Cesaros excuse? To be fair (And I'm not using This as an excuse but still) I think cesaro,Neville have a more difficult time with there promos because they can't really speak english too well I mean they are trying so I can give them at least some credit.

I think Neville is managing just fine on the mic at this stage. As someone who is from his hometown I can hear what he's trying to do when he speaks. His telephone voice. The Geordie accent/dialect when spoken fluently is almost an entirely different language to English so in order to make himself understood, he constantly has to be aware of what words he's about to use then change it to something that is more common. Then try to dial down the thickness of the accent at the same time. This is how a lot of people with accents speak on the telephone to people from outside the area. People like Barrett, Sheamus and Paige have done alright in WWE so hopefully Neville improves a bit more whilst in NXT then follows in their footsteps.

He was still able to connect with the crowd while his face was covered and he was cutting intentionally bad promos. Something about him makes him inexplicably easy to root for. That's just a God-given talent.

That promo was awesome, i got goosebumps watching it. Zayn is proving everybody that he's ready for a great spot in the main roster.
The whole storyline has been perfect, the writers in the main roster should start taking example from the stories on NXT, IMO it's a better show than Raw and Smackdown.

That promo by Zayn did nothing for me. I didn't get excited, it wasn't ground breaking or anything. Maybe it's because I am in my mid 30s and I have seen wrestling since the age of 5, but nothing about that promo was great.
I have seen Shane Douglas in ECW throw down an NWA Title belt and cut an amazing promo.
I have seen Steve Austin bash Jake Roberts and cut an amazing promo at the King of the Ring.
I have even seen CM Punk break the 4th wall and cut an amazing promo while sitting cross legged on the Raw stage.
Sami Zayn cut a normal "I'm gonna beat you for your title, eerrrr I hate you" type promo that anyone can do on a weekly basis.
Sorry, but I have yet to drink the Sami Zayn koolaid. For I find him to be very generic....o.

Do I think it was the best promo of the year? Yup.
