If his WM payout weren't so meh, we would've seen him for more than a couple of months.

The guy is out filming big time movies, The guy has no reason to ever come back to WWE.

If I was Batista I would never come back either. His return was awful and it wasn't his fault. He was lied to, horribly booked, his story was completely changed from what he had agreed to. He came back and was supposed to win the WWE Title. No matter if anybody agrees with it or not, that's what he was promised. It didn't happen and he ended up laying down to Daniel Bryan and then part of Evolution that got fed to the Shield. That's not what he signed up for.
If I was Batista I'd keep making those movies. He's going to be a star and he will make a hell of a lot more money and fame doing movies than risking his body for storylines that don't make sense.

Batista said on Jericho's podcast that he's received numerous movie role offers since Guardians and the WWE schedule would prevent him from taking them.
Also, Batista said he wouldn't return to WWE unless he had some sort of creative control since they botched his last run so horribly.

I will give him props because even though the run didn't go as planned, he did end up putting over Daniel Bryan and the Shield.

Why should he? Everyone treated him like crap when he came back the first time. His passion is gone and hes just another Rock.

We don't know that ANY of that is true. All we know is Batista came back and wanted to be a heel right out of the gate.

If WWE let him be a heel when he returned he would be singing a different tune. Yeah, he would still be crazy busy because of his success coming off Guardians but at least he would be more like Rock in coming and going with WWE. He returned, the experience was sh*t for him, and he has every right to not want to come back.
I wanted to see Batista vs Brock. Just more of WWE not giving fans a fresh matchup because it doesn't involve Cena.

I don't know if he was promised the WWE Title but I do know that a lot of things that were supposed to happen were changed. To be honest, he did win the Royal Rumble and I could logically see him being the guy to take the belt from Randy Orton. Instead, Daniel Bryan got the belt and he did the job at Mania. I highly doubt that's how things were supposed to play out and he's basically said so himself on Talk is Jericho.

Things change. There was absolutely no reason to give Batista the world title, and if that's the only reason he came back, then I don't think it's a tragedy by any means.

I wish Batista well. Fans clamored for a few years about him returning. Then he returned in ing Dayton Ohio in front of like 8,000 people. Then the fans turned on him because he wasn't 5'8 and looked like a little troll who was over from a three letter word. If he returns, I'll cheer him like I always have. If he doesn't, then I wish him success because obviously he doesn't need wrestling.

I don't think it was the only reason he came back, but if it was something that was set up for him in his contract, then I understand that being something he didn't like. I'm sure the Rock returned to win the WWE Title and he got that. Batista was planning on coming back but he ended up getting a bunch of new roles.

Plus Batista's return had caused nothing more than a shelfwarming problem in stores in my area

I can live without him in WWE honestly. Dude is in his mid 40's and I didn't think he really brought that much to the table in his last run. I hope he does well. I didn't see the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, was he any good in it? I mean, he must've been alright to get a Bond role.

I don't think it was in his contract, but they would have discussed the creative and set up that plan. If you watch Batista's old DVD from... 2008? 2009?... In that, he says the one thing he really wants to accomplish is being undisputed champion. The comeback this year was all about that. But I guess the chance for that has gone and he's onto bigger and better things.

At this point in his career theres no reason for him to risk his health for wrestling fans. Take the easy money and be a huge star.
