How is he "below average" in the ring? He gets reactions. Crowds would rather watch him throw Superman punches than Tyson Kidd or Justin Gabriel do whatever the hell it is that they do to no reaction. At the end of the day, the guy the crowd responds to the most is the most "deserving." Not that any smarkboy typing furiously under a bare bulb in his mom's basement would even know who "deserves" what... Who said anything about Tyson Kidd or Justin Gabriel? Guys like Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt and Dolph Ziggler are the ones who have proven themselves to be better than Reigns. I don't care that Roman gets solid reactions and has "the look." He is not good. "Not good" at what? Hulk Hogan did 6 moves his whole career. Doing fancy Movez doesn't make one "better" at a genre where "performing" is MUCH more important than being the best athlete. Ambrose, Wyatt, and Ziggler are guys I wouldn't have a problem with WWE giving a bigger role to, but I completely understand why WWE is so high on Reigns (good looking, impressive athletic background, relative of the Rock) and I think it's idiotic and indicative of IWC "groupthink" that there are those out there who think Roman Reigns, a guy who consistently gets GREAT crowd reactions, somehow isn't deserving of a bigger role. The crowd always dictates who gets a bigger role. Unless it's Zack Ryder. That guy is just screwed... |
