It was naive of me to hope that I could start a Wfigs thread without trolls running it into the ground. WWE obviously thinks high enough of him to put him into the Hall of Fame. Without him, we may have never gotten Billy Graham and without Billy Graham, we may have never gotten Hulk Hogan, without Hogan, there is no WWE Elite line, because there is no WWE. Without Rogers, if wrestling even still existed, it would still be nothing more than a rigged amateur match. Rogers was the first guy to extensively use moves like drop kicks, running off the ropes, and body slams, which became the popular style after his success. I don't think anyone is going to argue his contributions to the business. I think from that perspective people get it. It has absolutely nothing to do with that though. Bruno was Hulk Hogan before Hulk Hogan and he went into the HOF in 2013. So he was on the current product in that capacity and people could see who he was and WWE could dedicate a DVD to him and market his past. He's the exception, not the rule. You're just talking about an extremely niche product that very few people would find appealing on a retail shelf. This is business logic. It has absolutely nothing to do with wrestling history, or talent or anything else that doesn't directly correlate to sales. Most intelligent and correct reply in this thread so far.

Sure feel free to buy me an arn or tully WITHOUT the tag title for under $60....Ive been looking for one. Well, why didn't you buy them when they were up for sale on Matty? That's what I did. And I don't even like Tully or Arn. The lack of sales is what killed off the online figures (which is fine with me because that way we don't have to pay jacked up shipping prices.) Buddy Rogers is a guy Jakks would have made, would have been 1 per case or maybe even 1 every other case. I miss those days when we got a bunch of old dudes. I did. I voted for Tully and Arn, they were my most wanted. However I "assumed" that they would still be readily available later on down the line like every other Legend seemed to be so I was going to pick up a 2nd Tully for a suited version. Now I cant afford it.

I'm surprised by a lot of the negative responses here ... I'd jump at a Buddy Rogers figure! It IS highly unlikely but that doesn't mean we can't hope.
Buddy Rogers is one of those guys I've always wanted more merchandise for just the sake of his historical significance alone (along with Gorgeous George and Antonio Inoki). A lot of these classic legends would be great opportunities for us to get the older belts, as well.

There are so few spots in the line that's the problem and yes we are getting things like the extra Target line but those seem destined to be repeat city. I wouldn't mind seeing some old timers thought like maybe Bob Backlund or Gorgeous George. I personally am more in favor of colorful gimmick type mid-card characters at this point in the line. Wrestling accomplishment doesn't matter as much to me when it comes to a action figure line, I love to see guys like Doink and would love Giant Gonzalez, Earthquake, Berzerker and other crazy guys that make for great figures. The big hitters they sign can get the DM treatment.

The big hitters they sign can get the DM treatment. If they wanted to make one, they could find a spot for it with the additions of legends figures in the main elite line, battlepacks, basics, DM, and internet exclusives. I still think the best way to get us any of the really old timers would be to put them in a battlepack with someone like Hogan or Savage.

For historical significance, I think this man deserves a figure.
