Is it me or the other people, I've seen countless people bitching about how WWE think we're stupid due to the voting option's for the Jericho vs Heyman match (Extreme Rules match, No holds barred and Street fight) I'm pretty sure that the voting option's left it so that the heel, Paul Heyman, couldn't get away with having an "easier" type matchup, and helped to build to the match knowing that no matter what Heyman is gonna get his ass kicked on live TV.

I think the problem in that voting is, that all 3 matches - extreme rules, no holds barred and street fight - are the EXACT same match!

People who complain about Brock Lesnar's lack of being on television while being WWE Champion are kind of stupid to me. Look what John Cena did when he was champion. Say his next challenger was Randy Orton and Dean Ambrose was feuding with Seth Rollins, boom, tag match with Cena & Ambrose vs. Orton & Rollins. Plus the champ sometimes loses pointless non-title matches to seemingly give his opponent an edge. It's all bad booking. Do I want to see a non-finish tag match with Brock Lesnar & Seth Rollins vs. John Cena & Dolph Ziggler? Not really. Keeping Brock off of television makes him seem IMPORTANT because he's not out there getting beat or beating people up week in and week out and that's what people seem to forget or just plain overlook.
Wait, what were you talking about?

They're all the same. That's the joke. The commentators even laughed about it, so it seems pretty obvious they expected the fans to understand what was going on.

Here's a question... Why didn't Heyman cover Jericho for the win after the Brock beat down?

Here's a question... Why didn't Heyman cover Jericho for the win after the Brock beat down? Excellent point! Also, the story of Jericho being owed $200 by Heyman was dumb too. Jericho was in ECW in 1996, ECW wasn't bouncing checks at that time frame, as far as I know, business was great for them then, since they only wrestled in Philly, New York, and Florida. They weren't losing money at all on anything.

My only problem with this is that I never believe the WWE when they say the fans voted for something.

The dumb part of this to me was how much of an bunghole Jericho was for the entire show. I'm a huge Y2J fan but I popped big when Brock came out to kill him.

I know exactly what you mean and couldn't agree more. Ever since listening to his interviews on Talk Is Jericho, I've grown to dislike Chris Jericho the person more and more. All he does is put himself over or find ways to compare the stories of the person he's interviewing to himself. He's his own biggest fan.

Not sure if you misunderstood me, so I'll clarify anyway. I'm talking about his character of course, I wasn't genuinely begging for Chris Jericho the man to get the crap beat out of him by the scariest dude in the world. I'm just saying, this guy's meant to be a babyface, but he comes out in the Batista levels of douche attire, books himself in a match with a 50 year old out of shape manager for pretty much no reason at all, then books himself into a segment with Lana and Rusev which literally consisted of them standing there while he insults them. Then as soon as Rusev gets sick of his crap he brings out his bigger more jacked up buddy to fight his battle for him. I know, "it's just wrestling blah blah" but I wish WWE put a little more effort into making their good guys a little more likable

I know, "it's just wrestling blah blah" but I wish WWE put a little more effort into making their good guys a little more likable Really? As big of a Y2J fan you claim to be, you'd know that Jericho has been dressing himself in the "Bastista levels of douche attire" before Batista won his first World Heavyweight Championship in 2005 on a daily basis. Also, you'd know that Jericho's character has always had a "bunghole" aspect to it for the past 10+ years, no matter if he's a face or a heel. When Jericho insulted Rusev and Lana, that brought back a comedy aspect to when Jericho insulted Stephanie McMahon during the Attitude Era every opportunity he had. Why in the hell would Jericho fight Rusev? Jericho set up a perfect promo to introduce Rusev to his new opponent, Ryback, who I'm sure will defeat Rusev for the US title. As a Jericho fan, he doesn't need to be in a feud with Rusev. At all. So, I'll say it again. "It's called acting you ass-clown!"

Ok well we clearly just disagree on how his character came across on Monday. To me it seemed like the same sort of mindless douchery that makes Sheamus so unlikable as a babyface. Also. I know he has been dressing like a douche for ages. I don't need educating on Jericho's career thanks. I think he works a lot better as a heel for that exact reason, he's much better at playing the part of a total dick and while Stephanie back in the day did stuff to actually deserve the insults, this was Jericho just talking crap to Lana and Rusev for absolutely no reason, and going OUT OF HIS WAY to do so. Why would Jericho fight Rusev? Because he just spent an entire segment talking crap to the guy and his girlfriend (?). That's a better reason for two guys to fight than half of the matches we see on PPV. Bringing out his big buddy to fight for him is a total heel move to me. This wasn't even meant to be some big Jericho discussion, I was just making a passing comment on what a poor job WWE does with their babyfaces.

Jericho is insulting both Rusev and Lana to bring attention to them, and more importantly PUT THEM OVER. The Rock did the exact same thing. Also, saying Jericho insulted Rusev and Lana for no reason is absurd and idiotic. Rusev and Lana are today's 1980 Communist, anti-american act if you didn't know. It's common sense to insult someone who disrespects your country, which is what Jericho did, and what the crowd has been doing for months with Swagger, Show, and Henry. The undefeated "America sucks" heel known as Rusev is the second most, and if not, definitely in the top 5 of booked heels in the WWE today. It's the f'ing Highlight Reel! Of course Jericho will say something insulting, funny, or both! Seeing Jericho vs. Rusev would be pointless. Jericho introducing Ryback to Rusev is actually BELIEVABLE to the fans.

Dude, seriously. 1) I don't need you to explain to me how wrestling works 2) I'm talking in terms of kayfabe, very, very obviously. 3) Jericho isn't even American, Rusev hasn't said crap about his country. My issue, if you need it to be explained AGAIN is that WWE isn't really making the heels all that despicable, and the faces really aren't that likable. Couple weeks ago Bryan forced Rusev to either recite the pledge of allegiance or defend his title in a battle royal. That's a classic heel authority type move, stacking the odds against Rusev like that. Then Rusev chooses to defend the title against 19 guys and ing wins. If you switch the flags around that's some heroic crap. Nothing I am saying here is absurd, idiotic, or ignorant. Sad to see that you can't have a discussion without chucking the insults out there. Sorry I said bad things about the wrestler you like.

Sorry I said bad things about the wrestler you like. Lol. Before I say anything, it's 2014. Vince McMahon said himself there's no such thing as a heel, or a face. So, that's out of the window. This has nothing to do with the fact that I'm a fan of Jericho's, first of all. Even though Jericho is Canadian, he insulted Rusev in order to get a positive response from the USA crowd. Which he did, it made perfect sense. It doesn't matter if he's Canadian or not. When Rusev didn't recite the pledge of allegiance, and had to be forced into the battle royal on Smackdown, and WON, that shows the dominance and the power of Rusev. That's perfect booking. Also, Rusev is the perfect example of kayfabe. USA vs. Russia. "Russia is better than America." Of course it's heroic crap in Russia, because Russia believes that they're better than America! It's believable to them. Especially since he's undefeated, and holds the US championship. We can agree to disagree, but this isn't 1998 anymore. It's 2014, and kayfabe is almost extinct with the creation of social media. The closest person to resemble kayfabe was Damien Sandow during his "savior of the masses" gimmick.
