002.| WWE Presents: "NXT" December 18th, 2014 |
Before we go live into the NXT Arena at Fullsail University, we video package airs recapping the events of last week's WWE Network exclusive special, "NXT R-Evolution". The video mainly focuses on the massive debut of the well traveled Kevin Owens and his victory over CJ Parker, the nXt Tag Team Championship match where the Lucha Dragons were able to retain over the Vaudevillians, Finn Balor and his partner Hideo Itami bringing something that the Ascension (or the WWE Universe) had never seen before, Charlotte proving that she is still the most dominant Diva in nXt by defeating Sasha Banks to retain her nXt Divas Championship and finally, the main event of the evening where Sami Zayn put it all on the line and was able to defeat his long time friend, Adrian Neville,to finally claim the nXt Championship in one of the best matches of the year. After the bout, Kevin Owens came down to congratulate his long time friend Zayn on his championship win, but quickly turned on him proving his point that he will fight anyone.
To open this week's edition of NXT, we were greeted by the man who put the new nXt Champion out of commission with his devastating powerbomb to the ring apron, Kevin Owens. Owens talks about his dominant debut win over CJ Parker and then moved on to explain his actions of why he attacked his best friend of so long after he had a hard fought match with Adrian Neville. Owens made it known that he isn't in nXt to make friends and that it has taken so long for him to get here in the WWE and nXt, and he will not let anything get in his way of becoming successful. Owens was quickly cut off by the former nXt Champion, Adrian Neville, who decreed that Owens' actions last week were uncalled for and that it shouldn't be Owens who Neville is confronting tonight, it should be Zayn about his rematch to reclaim what is rightfully his, the nXt Championship. Neville notes that since Owens is always looking for a fight, why not take on Neville tonight to prove himself worthy of even challenging for the championship. Never backing down, Owens accepted the challenge and our main event for the evening has been set in stone.
Becky Lynch vs. Bayley Following an attack on Bayley while she was doing an interview with Sasha Banks and Renee Young, this encounter between these two divas were inevitable. Bayley was favoring her bad knee the entire match up as that was the focus of the Pre-Show attack last week. Eventually, the pain was too much for Bayley to handle and once Becky Lynch got the Four-Leg Clover locked in, the happy-go-lucky Bayley had no choice but to submit. Winner: Becky Lynch
A video replay of Baron Corbin's decimation of Tye Dillinger last week at R-Evolution was shown including the epic stare down after the match between Corbin and Bull Dempsey.
Baron Corbin vs. David Johnson Corbin faced off with a local competitor from the Florida Area and made real quick work of him as expected. It seemed to be Corbin's quickest bout yet until Dempsey showed up on the ramp way and watched Corbin. This distracted Corbin only for a few moments as he was still able to take out Johnson with the End of Days in mere seconds. Winner: Baron Corbin
Corbin picked up his opponent and threw him out of the ring towards Dempsey. To show that he could measure up to Corbin, Dempsey gave the defenseless Johnson a huge spinebuster on the solid ramp and smirked at Corbin who was just staring a hole through him in the ring. These two monsters will be coming to ahead in the near future and who knows if the nXt arena will be able to hold both of them in the same ring.
A video interview featuring the Ascension aired. Konnor and Viktor talked about how their opponents last week, Finn Balor and Hideo Itami may have gotten the best of them, but it was a fluke victory. Konnor mentioned that they are the most dominant tag team in nXt history and their time in nXt is winding down as the WWE is calling their name. Before they leave, they have one score to settle and that's with Balor and Itami. Next week, they challenge the team to a tornado tag team match to settle the score.
Scott Dawson vs. Colin Cassady (w/Enzo Amore & Carmella) The nXt universe was overjoyed to see the realest guys (and gal) in the room make their presence known in the Full Sail Arena. Singles competition for Cassady against the nXt veteran Scott Dawson. An pretty one-sided match to start with Cassady getting most of the upper hand but Dawson battled back to make this a competition. Dawson has not been seen in quite some time and is looking to re-establish his credibility in nXt. Tonight's match, however, did not do that for him as Colin Cassady was able to gain back the control and eventually nail a huge Side Slam to score the victory after a little distraction from Amore and Carmella on the outside. Winner: Colin Cassady
Following the match, Amore kicked Dawson out of the ring and grabbed a microphone to tell the nXt universe that there seems to be an open #1 contender's spot for the Tag Team Championships. Amore tells the crowd he knows just the right guys to fill that spot. Before anymore can be said, The Vaudevillians came down to the ring to interrupt and to show some video footage they have been holding onto for a week. It turns out that in last week's championship match, the illegal man, Gotch, was pinned in defeat. Therefore, they should rightfully have another match with the reigning champions, the Lucha Dragons. The arena was then greeted by our Commissioner, William Regal, who tells both teams that he has a plan. In two weeks, these two teams will square off for the right to a tag team championship match against the Lucha Dragons.
A graphic showed that in two weeks, we will also hear from the new nXt Champion, Sami Zayn, for the first time since Kevin Owens attacked him following his victory at R-Evolution. What will Zayn have to say about his former best friend putting him out of action right after the biggest moment of his career?
Main Event: Kevin Owens vs. Adrian Neville These two aren't strangers to each other and the crowd was well aware of that. An epic encounter between the two saw Owens use his massive size advantage over Neville to control the early part of the match. Many powerful slams and straight brawling action made the crowd very nervous for Neville, who they were now siding with due to him defending his friend Sami Zayn. Neville saw a hole in Owen's offense though and used his speed to take control with his top rope arsenal. Eventually, this match saw the two men make their way to the outside after Neville dove over the top rope with a corkscrew to take out both of them. Both men were able to get up before the referee's 10 count, but Owens threw Neville into the barricade and then somersaulted into him! The two men were completely knocked out and neither were able to answer the 10 count for a double count out. Winner: No Contest
Owens gained consciousness first and was not happy with the result of the contest. Owens picked up Neville and delivered the same powerbomb onto the ring apron that put Zayn out of action last week! The crowd was stunned and booed Owens as he made his way up the ramp smiling about what he has done. Has Owens just taken out the current and former nXt Champions in the matter of two weeks? Can anyone put a stop to this path of destruction that has begun here in nXt?

NXT Roster Plans; Shifting Talent; Call ups Inevitable?
| - According to various sources within the NXT division of WWE, plenty of talent will be moved around at the beginning of the new year. WWE Creative is viewing NXT as almost a "3rd brand" and will look to move certain talent on the main roster down there because they don't have any plans for them. A few names thrown around to fit this criteria have been Cesaro, Titus O'Neil and Justin Gabriel. Creative doesn't view this as a demotion for the talent due to NXT's increased success with the WWE Network. Only time will tell if the company puts these changes in effect.
- Many people within the company feel that Adrian Neville will need a gimmick change in order to fully get over with the main roster crowd. After working live events, his reactions haven't been where the company wants them to be. The fans don't seem to be flocking to Neville like they do to Sami Zayn or Tyler Breeze. Speaking of those three men, with the possible roster changes in NXT, many feel that call ups to the main roster will be put on hold in order to continue to make NXT look like a strong 3rd brand.
- Sami Zayn has a legit back injury and has been pulled from the current Holiday Live Show tour. Zayn has tweeted that he may be able to participate in the upcoming tri-state area shows around Christmas.
- The company is liking the current schedule model for NXT with the weekly show and a 'special event' every few months or so. The current plan is for one of these special events every 3 months for a total of 4 in one year. If that is the going rate, expect the next event to be around the same time as Arrival was last year.

Really interested to see what you do with Zayn/Owens. It should be great. Good win for Becky. Impressive squash for Corbin, I'm actually interested in Corbin/Dempsey. Love Enzo & Big Cass. I hope you have big plans for them. I got a feeling I'm gonna love what you're gonna do with Owens. Really interested to see where things go from here.

Duan is back. It's about to get real homies. I like the slight twist in the opening segment. Rather than going with the real life version where Adrian Neville came out first, you went the opposite way. Again, the exact opener from the real life counterpart and just as it did there, this gives Becky Lynch a good win while keeping Bayley strong. Glad you chose to have one squash instead of two. Baron Corbin should beat Bull Dempsey in their feud since Bull is pretty lame. Tornado tag match between Ascension and Finn Balor and Hideo Itami? I'm down. Good win for Big Cass, happy that you didn't go the route of the Ascension squashing him and Enzo. I liked them attempting to make a statement for the belts only for the Vaudevillains to show the footage. Another fun rematch should go down. Great main event and glad you kept that the same at least. It made Kevin Owens look legit as . I cannot wait to see what you have in store. I hope this sticks.

WWE NXT: Thursday 18th December 2014...Hey, an NXT friend! I'm not expecting too much to be much different from real life in this show, given that it was pretty much an ideal fallout from a show like NXT Takeover: R Evolution. Kevin Owens with the opening promo as expected, I enjoyed how the promo was worded and it was laid out simply as well. Nice stuff, outlining the main event for the show against Adrian Neville. Becky Lynch defeating Bayley was nice, giving Lynch a nice win against Bayley. It seems as though Lynch will be the next Diva in line for a shot at Charlotte's NXT Women's Championship, which I would very much like to see. Where did her interview segment go? I think she could use with some talk time to get over her personality some more. I don't really get what people see in Bayley, other than that she's great as a sympathetic, innocent babyface secondary star. Next, Baron Corbin with another squash win - and a fun follow up between Corbin and Bull Dempsey. Dempsey taking out David Johnson was additionally a nice touch instead of killing more television time with another squash bout. The Ascension's promo was good, and unlike real life, I am glad that you have outlined that this will be Konnor and Viktor's last task in NXT. I still can't see them coming out victorious against Finn Balor and Hideo Itami, but hopefully the match is better and less one-sided and predictable as their tag bout at R Evolution was. Colin Cassady with a win! I think that Cass has a lot of potential - I sort of think that Enzo Amore is better utilized in a managerial role, too. Is Scott Dawson even still active? I'm not really sure...isn't he still injured or something? Honestly cannot remember the last time I saw him on television. Regardless, this seemed to be enhancement for Cass and that is absolutely fine. I just wonder if there is anything that Enzo and Cass can do following the Christmas holidays in NXT. The Vaudevillains is a fun possibility as Enzo and Cass could cost Aiden English and Simon Gotch their rematch with the Lucha Dragons. I do doubt that Kalisto and Sin Cara will lose the NXT Tag Team Championships in the rematch, however. Why is the rematch in two weeks time? I wonder what's next week...And finally, you stuck with the original main event segment for Owens and Neville. A good preview of things to come between the two men I feel. In the future I see Owens and Neville having a real barnburner. I am excited to see what you have Sami Zayn say in two weeks time when he returns to NXT. Overall, I enjoyed this starter show for the diary. I'm pretty excited to see where you go with this in the future weeks. I do however think you could have switched some things up a bit - there should have been some mention or comments from Tyler Breeze (who has been absent from storylines for weeks), Hideo Itami, Finn Balor and Sasha Banks, among several other key NXT stars. Nonetheless, I want more!

I'm a big fan of win loss records so brownie points there.
Like Dan said this was very similar to the actual but there is nowt wrong with that, it was a good read. Not to much to say this week but I look forward to you making it your own.
