Really starting to wonder if this is a gift... Or a curse.
I've had the hardest time finding e34. I mean HARD. And Every time I've seen my targets stock new elites over night they are GONE by the time i wake up in the morning. I even saw a local Sears with one e34 Cena next to an freshly emptied elite case. Been really wondering if I have a local scalper because figures have never ever been this hard to find. ESPECIALLY an elite series. And I've been collecting these for like 3 years now.
I randomly woke up at like 730am and for whatever reason checked the trusty old tracker. My target up the street got a fresh case! So I got excited enough to drag my ass to the store. Not so much because I needed the figures but more so to see if my skepticism was true. If there Really are people sitting out front of stores in the morning clearing the shelves of these. And I couldn't believe it. I was right. I saw and some dude clearing the wwe section of elite 34 as the doors opened at 8am.
I didn't leave empty handed tho..and I doubt he's gonna be doing that again anytime soon.

My Target is stuck on E30. Not holding out hope for E34 any time soon.

The stores in my area all jumped up in inventory last Monday. No such luck today. But I was able to get Paige and Rusev last week. Now im just hoping to get a Hogan and Doink. If I can't it's no biggie.

you just have to be there when the store opens and hope that it is Elite 34

I could've went and easily been greeted with the familiar faces of elite 33 I'm thinking now, had I not went right when the doors opened , and met the scalper in the aisle, if I were a minute late, I would've went home empty handed and PISSED after seeing someone got to them and left me cenas. Is it at the point where we have to wake up early and race to the aisle to get new figures  ? I thought I was paranoid this whole time. Thinking there's losers that sit out front and wait for stores to open to clean shelves after seeing tracker updates. Turned out I was right. |

I used the Target tracker to get Hulk Hogan yesterday. Saw my Target go from 0 to like 11 somehow, but I figured it was at least one case.
I went to the store at 8am and went to the toy section and no Elites. I saw an employee really slowly putting out toys. I creeped around and tried to eye the boxes on the carts he had, and I spotted a case of Elites. I was going to ask him to open that box, but then another employee came by and started talking to the guy about basketball or some crap and they both just walked away.
So I car keyed open the box, got Hulk Hogan, and made it to work 20 minutes late without anybody realizing, lol. I had already gotten Paige last week at TRU bc the manager held the figure for me, and I had found Rusev and Doink two weeks ago by luck. I was going to buy another Paige to keep MOC, but I looked at it and the left arm looked like it was snapped at the shoulder joint.
The case breakdown was werid. Theire was only 1 Hogan.
2 Rusev
2 Barrett
1 Doink
1 Hogan
1 Paige
1 Cena
I'm done with Eite 34.

I just looked at the Basics for fun in my area. Are the numbers always this high for basics? Just a few examples.
52, 43, 39 and 34.
That would be a TON of basics. That has to be off.

I don't know if it's scalpers, or if it's because this set has not been on Amazon yet, so the people who would normally buy online are being forced into retail, which is causing the shelves to clear out even faster? I had no problems finding anybody from Elite 33.....an awesome set. But it also hit stores a few weeks AFTER it had hit Amazon. There are still X-Pacs at my Walmart. So Amazon not having Elite 34 yet has probably caused an increase in retail traffic. The lack of ability to get them easily online is probably leading to more scalping, too. |
