I've talked this over with Dragon and he told me to create this thread, so here it is.
The board has had an influx of diaries and activity in the past few weeks as we all strive to make the board better and a better community. Diaries like #WWERyan, AJ's 2009-2014 and Kev's WWE 2012 are all established and are continuing strongly, legends like DTP, Elliot and Chaz have all came back and are progressing through their diaries. We can't count out Snick and Underjohn that have graced us with their writing abilities as they continue to grow as Simmers. For those not mentioned, you're doing a hell of a job too. The atmosphere is at an all time high for the past couple of years.
Which led me to the deep dark place in my mind, not that dark mind you (I don't write two divas killing each other but it was a hell of a match that redefined women's wrestling so it's all good *cough* Ryan *cough*), that with the prosperity of the board we could potentially bring back the Sims Writing Association. For those who have no clue what the SWA is, here is a link to one of the shows.
This project will ask for some time and effort, but all in all, it would be fun. Ever want to rebook that god awful storyline that you hated? Ever wondered what modern day wrestling would be like if Eddie Guerrero never died? How would the industry look like today if Magnum TA was never forced to retire? The booking pen is in your hands, or your keyboard at least. Now, we know some time periods would not be suitable for others, so it would be divided into three categories, in which you can choose which one you would like to participate: the Super Heavyweight division (No preset - therefore you would be booking storylines from whatever era is chosen that match), the Heavyweight division (Strictly classic booking ideas - from 1970 to 2008), and the Junior Heavyweight division (2009 to Modern Day).
I was thinking of having these SWA shows bi-monthly, that way we could have up to three weeks or more to write our stories and send them in. Therefore, this would not become a back seat to your diary, as you'll have plenty of time to write for both things. At first, we would not have championships but eventually they will be integrated in the fun as you look to lead your division.
What do you guys think? Should we embark on this journey once more? Let your opinion be heard in the comments below (God, I sound like a YouTube loser). Put any questions or concerns down there too.
SWA Test Show Signups:
Progs (Junior Heavyweight)
Red Dragon (Heavyweight)
HEELRyan (Heavyweight)
Snickelodeon (Junior Heavyweight)

Cameron Stone (Junior Heavyweight)
Jonguin (Heavyweight)
