Makes it infinitely more interesting than the host of the week schtick again. I really think the retconning was done in an obvious, lazy way-- as since day one we knew Cena would be threatened into it once the stipulation was introduced. Would have been much more interesting if he had a heel/tweener turn to align with the Authority and bring them back, or hell, Steph and Trips could have stormed WWE headquarters and held the shareholders and Vince hostage with Brock, Big Show and Rollins in their corner demanding a ransom of company control back.

Best way to end the year, bringing back The Authority.

Can't wait to see raw open every week again with 30 minute hhh/steph self-serving promos, or Cena and his super friends against the odds every week. The authority has been dominating since summerlam 2013. We got barely over a month without them. There was no need to bring them back at this time. Honestly, I'll take Triple H and Steph over Jericho, Ho Ho Hogan, and Edge/Christian. Last night reeked alright, but it wasn't of awesomeness. Having said that, I think it was too early to bring the Authority back as well, but to coin an Old School phrase, the WWE is wiggin' right now. They've lost some confidence in their product, and they're starting to second guess themselves at almost every turn. That much is obvious from the discordant booking we've seen the past few months. They need to find their story and stick with it.

Everyone wanted them back and now that they are everyone's complaining. no, the people who wanted them gone are still complaining. Those people were quiet when they left because there was nothing to talk about then (beating a dead horse). The people who wanted them back have now taken that position. You see, on the internet, there's more than one person. Specifically the "IWC", is actually a very large group of people with completely different opinions, likes and dislikes. I know this is a hard subject to grasp so take a few deep breaths and I'll come back to you in a week to make sure you're doing okay

I'm 50/50. I'm glad they're back, the stars were lined up for an intense promo between Cena and Rollins. But it does make Dolph's win look incredibly useless. I figured they would've waited at least 6 months. This did'nt make Ziggler's win useless or meaningless. This actually made Ziggler a stronger man than Cena. How? Well, Ziggler was physically capable of ending The Authority. Cena, on Raw, was not mentally capable of saying No to Rollins. Ziggler kept The Authority away, Cena couldn't. Had Cena said No last night, sure, Edge would have been broken down. Does WWE already want us to forget Ambrose was curbstomped on cinderblocks? Which is way worse then a breifcase. Edge would have handled it. But, had Cena rejected that, it would have been a cat and mouse game of what can I do to get Cena to reinstate The Authority? With the writting, it would have ended up being a Bella on railroad tracks or something....

Thought it was great. Would have liked to see HHH and Stephanie brought out next week, but I thought it was cool to see the members of the Authority standing next to Brock and Heyman all on the stage. The Empire Strikes Back ending is the best and I hope they do it for Mania as well.
Cena was never turning heel out of that whole deal. That's a pipe dream. The show was completely directionless without them on TV other than last night, which I thought was amazing. Happy they're back and really looking forward to how they will position Sting against HHH heading towards Mania.

I think it was far too soon. But they need to be in charge for Sting to serve a purpose going into WM.
I know that many are complaining about Ziggler. But this may benefit him greatly. Now they will be out to get him and that will showcase him more than just some random matches week to week.

I don't like the Authority. Every show starts with them, they appear most that any other superstar during the show and the main event always has the Authority. If a wrestler won the belt, the Authority strips it. If a wrestler are the fan favourite, the Authority puts him down.

The Ziggler thing is over thinking imo and I completely agree that they'll be out to get him now. Ziggler has done nothing but get more-and-more spotlight since SummerSlam. As a massive fan of the guy, I have nothing but positives to say about what they're letting him do, steal the show. I mean even last night they protected him against Rusev, which NEVER would have happened prior to like October. It wasn't that long ago that Ziggler was jobber fodder for Ryback, Rusev, Orton, and anyone else you can name who needed to look good in a match. Now he's being treated like he deserves and people are just being over critical imo. This is the most substance Ziggler has gotten ever.

Thank God. I'm glad Steph is back.
I've been backed up and they were starting to turn blue.

Was it a bit too soon? Yea. Do we need it to build Sting vs. Triple H? Yes. Does Dolph Ziggler's accomplishment looked tainted and will it hinder his push? I don't think so.
Will some people complain about guest hosts and the Authority and not be happy regardless? Yup.

Everyone wanted them back and now that they are everyone's complaining. It's not the fact that they're back, it was just a lame way to bring them back so soon after Survivor Series.

I like the Authority. I think you need an antagonist to keep the story moving. The random face/celeb GM's each week got old pretty fast.
And Stephanie McMahon looks stacked in those sleeveless dresses....so, welcome back Authority!
