Last year I did a survey for 2013 so lets do a 2014 figure survey? Especially because Mattel released a lot of awesome figures this year! So I'm ready for the New Years, but before we move on, I'd like to discuss your personal experiences and collection of 2014 with 14 questions.

I lost count. 2) Toys R Us 3) B36 Fandango in January 4) B43 Eva Marie earlier this month 5) E30 Hawk and Animal were $21 each + tax 6) B43 Eva Marie for 53 cents with a $10 Kohls gift card 7) Elite 27 Fandango. Never found it in stores and had to buy online 8) None of the figures I bought this year are really considered shelfwarmers 9) None 10) Summerslam Heritage Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase 11) B43 Eva Marie 12) Dont have goals for collecting 13) I am still waiting to buy the John Cena & Ultimate Warrior Battle Pack 14) Purchased 2 John Cena figures from Ringside for $20 + Tax and Shipping. A few months later they dropped the price on those 2 same figures to $11 or $12. |

 1. How many Mattel figures you've collected this year? (2014) My entire collection, except for Elite 20 CM Punk, which I bought years ago and somehow didn't catch the bug. 2. Where did you get majority of the figures you've purchased this year? eBay 3. Who was the first figure you got this year? (2014) Legends 6 Ultimate Warrior and Legends 5 Macho Man. Bought the Warrior in April after his death, and I intended to stop there. That didn't happen.  4. Who was the last? Custom Elite ECW CM Punk (in the yellow)  5. Which figure did you spend the most on? Tully Blanchard with WWF Tag Team Championship  6. Which figure was your "steal" deal of 2014? I bought a lot of about 60 Elites and Basics on eBay and sold several so the end cost was pretty minimal. No other deal stands out. 7. Which was the toughest to find? Paul Bearer. Got him from a UK seller for what I think is a decent price given his lack of availability in the States. 8. Which one was the easiest? Everyone except for Tully Blanchard and Uncle Paul.  9. What figure was disappointing when you got it in person? Ringside Edge. The tattoo was chipped and the more that I looked at the head scan, the less I liked it. 10. Your favorite 2014 figure received? (doesn't have to be released this year) RSC Straight-Edge Society CM Punk. It's a beautiful figure. Love that mask. And the carding is badass with the SES logo.  11. Who's in your collection you didn't expect to have this year? Everyone after Warrior and Savage. I didn't think I'd get the bug again. I'd quit collecting wrestling figures after Jakks BCAs. Now, I'm all in.  12. Did you reach any goals? (if you had any) Uh, kinda.  13. Did they release the figure you've been waiting for? Since I just jumped in, I didn't have to wait long for Flair and Hogan. Looking forward to Razor, Sting and, hopefully, Goldberg someday.  14. Any Regrets? I don't have any, although I wish I'd known about the RSC Cyber and Black sales when I started collecting. Any regrets that I may have had, I've been able to correct (I think). My girlfriend may have some regrets though.   |

13. Did they release the figure you've been waiting for? N/A. I just got started in November, so I'm waiting for current versions of Ambrose, Ziggler, and Nikki Bella. All three are pretty much locks for 2015.

6. Which figure was your "steal" deal of 2014? ALL OF ELITE 30 for $8 dollars each.
7. Which was the toughest to find? VADER e31
8. Which one was the easiest? Any CENA, SHEAMUS, or DEL RIO
9. What figure was disappointing when you got it in person? It's a tie between CM Punk e29 and Ric Flair DM
10. Your favorite 2014 figure received? (doesn't have to be released this year) L.O.D e30
11. Who's in your collection you didn't expect to have this year? Any SHEAMUS or DEL RIO I had to buy to build a figure.
12. Did you reach any goals? (if you had any) Yeah, I lost some weight and got most the figures I desired.

My whole Mattel collection around 30 (stopped after Jakks idk why I just caught the bug again I guess now I'm back) 2. Target Walmart and RSC 3. Brock and Undertaker 2 pack 4. HOF Stone Cold and Sgt. Slaughter 5. Series 47 Rusev from RSC (still waiting for it) 6. Loose John Cena from RSC for 0.75 7. Elite 30 Lex only saw it once and unfortunately passed on if 8. Any CM Punks or Del Rios 9. 1. How many Mattel figures you've collected this year? (2014) Roughly 40, which is my entire collection aside from three figures I had gotten before then.
2. Where did you get majority of the figures you've purchased this year? Walmart.
3. Who was the first figure you got this year? (2014) The first Elite Dean Ambrose.
4. Who was the last? Sin Cara Negro from eBay, but released this year it was the new Basic Corporate Kane.
5. Which figure did you spend the most on? The first Elite Dean Ambrose because I paid full retail for him at Toys R Us.
6. Which figure was your "steal" deal of 2014? I got a lot of older Mattel figures from eBay for what I thought were good prices, but in terms of walking into a store and buying something at a great price I enjoyed getting the AJ Lee t-shirt figure for $7.77 from Walmart because I didn't realize she wasn't part of the sale.
7. Which was the toughest to find? The first Elite Seth Rollins. I saw him once, passed and never saw him again. Though certain figures I didn't care about never made it to stores where I could find them, the Flashback Rikishi for example.
8. Which one was the easiest? El Torito. I thought I'd have to search for him in the worst way, but walked into Walmart and found him for $7.77. Oddly enough, several weeks later I was back at the same Walmart and they had El Torito as part of the "Best Of" series as well as Los Matadores in their Battle Pack. I showed my wife we could have gotten all three together easily and I was so worried about finding them.
9. What figure was disappointing when you got it in person? I try not to buy figures that will disappoint me, so the only one I really had any sort of problem with was the Elite Rock I got on sale from Walmart for $12. There should be a way that he can hold his guitar is all I'm saying.
10. Your favorite 2014 figure received? (doesn't have to be released this year) The first Elite Dean Ambrose because it got me back into collecting WWE action figures.
11. Who's in your collection you didn't expect to have this year? Rob Van Dam. I bought his Elite because I saw it *once* and didn't want to pass. I'd kind of written him off as not being able to find when I actually did find him though, so it still kind of surprises me that I have him.
12. Did you reach any goals? (if you had any) I completed The Shield and the Wyatt Family, which was all that I wanted to do this year. Everyone else was just icing on the cake.
13. Did they release the figure you've been waiting for? The Shield and Wyatt Family, so yes.
14. Any Regrets? Nope, never.

guessing around 40 - 50.
2. Where did you get majority of the figures you've purchased this year?
RSC,though K-Mart was a close second.
3. Who was the first figure you got this year? (2014)
WM XXX Ultimate Warrior vs Sheamus BP. came right after New Year's.
4. Who was the last?
BAF Kane Series Undertaker, Coon got me on right before Christmas.
5. Which figure did you spend the most on?
probably DM Hogan or Flair.
6. Which figure was your "steal" deal of 2014?
Elite 30 Batista, Luger, and Ryback. got them during the K-Mart sale back in November.
7. Which was the toughest to find?
Elite 32. never seen them in my area yet,despite others finding them back in like October - November. a 2nd would be Basic 37 Zeb Coulter. found the WMH series multiple times, but only found him at retail once.
8. Which one was the easiest?
easy. Elite 29 CM Punk. NO one was grabbing him at retail. another was Elite 26 Ultimate Warrior in the last 2 months. those full cases of him are clogging pegs here badly.Elite 26 Mark Henry is still here on pegs as well.
9. What figure was disappointing when you got it in person?
Basic 37 Roman Reigns. God,that headscan was awful!
10. Your favorite 2014 figure received? (doesn't have to be released this year)
DM Ric Flair.
11. Who's in your collection you didn't expect to have this year?
DM Ric Flair and especially Hulk Hogan. we were told forever that Flair wasn't signed, and we knew Hogan signed back before WrestleMania, but I never expected a figure would make it out in 2014. also never thought I'd get a Mattel RVD, much less like 3 or 4 of him!
12. Did you reach any goals? (if you had any)
almost completing my Undertaker collection. between official releases and a couple customs, I really only need a robed Ministry version and Paul Bearer to make it feel "complete" to me and represent all his myriad looks.
13. Did they release the figure you've been waiting for?
yeah. I've wanted Flair and Royal rumble 1991 attire Ultimate Warrior forever. and I got both in 2014.
14. Any Regrets?
closest to a regret was that I greatly expanded my modern roster collection way more than I expected or planned to. I went from only collecting Legends-themed figures to having a pretty complete current roster. not sure how that happened! LOL!
