Prophesy 8 hours ago 2 168 Christmas eve 1970. Myself and my friend were at Indianapolis airport with military stand by tickets . We were able to get a flight to Kansas City Kansas. From Kansas City we were waiting for the only flight out Christmas eve to Los Angeles. Still flying military standby. The coach section filled up fast and we were told there were no more seats available and that we could probably get a flight the next morning. We were bummed out as we wanted to get home to California for Christmas. Then an airline agent came up to us and told us to wait and not leave. She knew that we were in the US Army as we had our military uniforms on. We waited about 5 or 10 minutes and then the agent returned. She told us to follow her. She took us onto the plane going to Los Angeles that was full. We were taken to the front of the plane to the first class section. The seats were all empty and this section was closed off from the rest of the plane. We were told that Elvis Presley had this section reserved for himself. Elvis was asked by the airline agent if he would let us sit in the first class section with him so we could get home to California for Christmas. He allowed to sit with him in the first class section from Kansas City to Los Angeles. After we entered the plane Elvis came in and started talking to us. He asked us our names and where we were from. We got to meet Elvis and fly with him to Los Angeles. Just Me my friend Mike and Elvis and his manager no one else in the first class section. How cool of Elvis to bless us. |
