WWE gets a lot of credit (rightfully so) for pushing former WCW stars who most likey wouldn't have gotten a chance to succeed in that company. Guys like Jericho, Mysterio, Guerrero, etc.
However, who are some of the guys who had a more successful (better) career in WCW as opposed to WWE?
DDP, Lex Luger, Dean Malenko and Buff Bagwell come to mind immediately.
What about guys like Booker T, Goldberg and Benoit who were pretty successful in both promotions?
What are some other examples?

-- First guy that comes to mind... Dick Slater.
He was pretty bland in the WWF, but once he got WCW and became "Dirty Dick", as a heel, he was great to watch.

Vader, DDP, Lex Luger, Dean Malenko, Buff Bagwell, Shane Douglas, Ricky Steamboat, all had better WCW careers than WWE ones.
Guys like Ric Flair, Booker T, Golberg, Chris Benoit, and Lance Storm were pretty even in both WWE and WCW. Both did as much in each federation, and were pushed to the best of their abilities in both federations.

Didn't Kevin Nash have a better run in his NWO run than his initial WWF run?

To me Benoit will always be a WWE guy. Him winning the Rumble and then main-eventing WrestleMania XX winning the WHC will always outshine everything that he did in WCW.

Didn't Kevin Nash have a better run in his NWO run than his initial WWF run? I prefer Diesel to Kevin Nash from an in-ring standpoint.

Pillman.
Most people, even if they had sucky runs in WWF had their best matches there though.

Vader without a doubt. I wonder if Sting would be on the list if he went to WWE earlier?

Vader Lex Luger DDP Goldberg Scott Steiner Ultimo Dragon Billy Kidman-all he did was whine about how he was used in WCW and when he got to the WWE, he really wasnt higher up on the card than he was in WCW

Raven... Yeah, he was an ECW guy through and through really, but much better used in WCW than the criminally short and underutilized run in WWE.

Vader Scott Steiner Luger Flair Arn & Tully DDP Jeff Jarrett Lance Storm Malenko Saturn
all spring immediately to mind.
Benoit, Jericho & Guerrero are all WWF guys to me.
Goldberg & Booker T are guys I put someplace in the middle......Goldberg was horribly mishandled by both companies. Yes WCW did great with him at first bur after Starrcade 98 it was all downhill for Bill.

Didn't Kevin Nash have a better run in his NWO run than his initial WWF run? Maybe because he had the pencil. But I wou say no. His matches were sloppy and I thought his work rate was worse. IMO But what about Scott Hall's working punch? Damn that thing is a ing beauty

I would also say Diesel had a better run in WWF than Kevin Nash did in WCW.
Diesel was WWF Champion for almost a full year and pretty much considered the top guy at the time (well, they tried anyway).
However, in WCW he had a couple meaningless title runs and was never really the top guy. Instead, it was always Hogan, Goldberg, etc.
