Masterpieces.

I haven't read "The Death of WCW" but heard they just had an updated version re-release so may order it soon.

I started Foley's first book ages ago but somehow got wrapped up in something else and didn't continue it, I've been meaning to pick it up again but I've been reading through The Hobbit recently so it won't happen until I've finished that.

Bret's is amazing. So many times I'd start reading at say 11pm, look back at the clock and it was gone 3am and I'd been reading for hours without realising it! So many tired days because of that book.

I really like Bischoff's "Controversy Creates Cash", Shawn Michaels' "Heartbreak and Triumph" and "In the Pit with Piper" from the amazing Roddy Piper.

Sting's christian allegory/autobiography "A Moment of Truth" is an interesting look, sometimes with real darkness, at his life. It is too short and too "christian" to be really enjoyable, but it might be worth checking out if that is your thing.

I've read Foley's "The Hardcore Diaries," Jericho's "Undisputed" and Edge's book. Trying to get my hands on Jericho's other two because he's easily my favorite author of the three, although all of them are great stuff.

Speaking of, I'd recommend skipping Mysterios book, it's not bad but too short for someone who's been at it as long as he has

I enjoyed both of Foley's first 2 books. they were the only times - ever - I literally sat down,started reading, and about 6 hours later closed the back covers,having finished them .both.

I also read Countdown to Lockdown by Foley as well. it was alright,not terrible,but not as good as "Have A Nice Day" and "Foley Is Good".

Bret Hart's is also incredible,really in-depth more than I could've imagined. only knock is that he really takes himself,and writes about himself, as being the greatest hero of all time.

I really like Flair's book. for being a somewhat watered-down and WWE-ized version of his story, there was quite a bit good in it. I loved all the wrestling stories he told. and hearing how he was broken down and mentally defeated after years of "abuse" by WCW in the late 90's was eye-opening and something I never knew about.

Shawn Michaels book is good too.much like Flair's, it's a WWE-ized version of his story,but surprisingly doesn't pull the punches you'd expect. there's in-depth talk of his drug and alcohol abuse, how he was a bad person in the 90's, his failing marriage and divorce. stuff like that.

Hogan's book is utter crap. you can tell it's all a ghostwriter, as there's too many "Brother's" and such through the text. not to mention, there's a lot of mistakes in there, specifically dates and timelines of things taking place.

Rock's book is bad too. there's some candid stuff in there too. but the main issue is that half is written form the perspective of "Dwayne Johnson", and half is written as if being told by "The Rock". so when you get to some important parts of wrestling history, rather than hearing about the in-and outs, the backstage stuff, the REAL processes going on, you get Rock-speak glossing over stuff with "Roody Poo Candy Asses" and " Lay the Smackdown" and "Jabroni" and such.

I would definitely recommend Bret Hart's book, Dynamite Kid's autobiography (Pure Dynamite), Foley's first two books, and any of Meltzer's Tributes books.

I really need to pickup all three Jericho books.

If you liked The Rise and Fall of ECW documentary, the book is a great read. It goes more in depth on a lot of topics and has interviews with a few people who weren't interviewed for the documentary. Some really cool and fascinating stories there.
