While for the last few years Mattel collectors have been able to relive matches from the remnants of the territorial system, with stars such as Punk, Danielson, Sydal, & more recently the likes of Claudio Canstagnoli & Brody Lee, who else is ecstatic for more former indy stars getting figures through the upcoming NXT line as well having figures released in the main lines? Imagine having Finn Balor & Adrian Neville as Elite figures. The re-creations of PAC vs Devitt matches would be amazing. What about reliving Steen vs Generico through Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens figures? And heaven knows how stupendous it will be to see KENTA vs Danielson in figure form. So my question is "Which indy matches/rivalries do you look forward to creating with your figures in the future?" I personally love re-enacting Brody Lee vs Castagnoli inside a steel cage, which has grown in popularity on YouTube recently. We could also make an Argument for El Patron & Shelton Benjamin who both perform in Ring of Honor, but I won't split hairs. Another objective I'd like to complete with this thread, would be to comprise a list of all the "Indy Stars" to have WWE figures made by Mattel. Fello Indy/Lucha/Puroresu nuts? Discuss!  |

The figure I always dream and will never be release is Chris Hero. I have an Road to Wrestlemania storyline ready to my WWEJ with Hero against Castagnoli...
If I'm Mattel's owner, I would like to make one collection called "Stars of Indy Wrestling", with the most famous independents wrestlers with stuff like belts of PWG, Chikara, etc, weapons from CZW (lightubes!!!) and a old ring, means lame, with peeling paint and faded mat...
Another collection I would like to see is from lucha libre. I hope AAA makes success in USA with the Lucha Underground to see Mattel thinking about a line of luchadores...

Hero was a really big want for me. I think had Mattel been making NXT figures when Ohno was in developmental, we would potentially have at least a Basic of him right now, which would have been enough for me personally. Aside from that though, I expect the NXT 5 to all make the main roster and get figures. I'm not even concerned about it. I was really holding at hope that Corey Graves was a figure they were working on around the same time as Zayn. I haven't given up complete hope but he's a guy I really wanted from NXT as well. We know we're getting Zayn, Neville seems pretty close to debuting on the main roster and might be on the way anyway via an NXT Basic, and Itami, Balor, and Owens are just a matter of being patient. WWE isn't going to allow Mattel to make figures of guys they don't have under contract and never really worked for the company. Not to mention the lack of demand. I'm not saying I wouldn't love it, and there are plenty of guys I would buy, but it's just not very realistic. List of guys I would love to have in their Indie look, past or present: AJ Styles Raven Chris Hero Chris Sabin Alex Shelley Ivelisse Cliff Compton Kenny Omega Adam Cole The Briscoes Ricochet Cheerleader Melissa Death Ray (who actually would be feasible if they would ever get her on TV) ReDRagon Chris Daniels Kaz Jay Lethal Jimmy Jacobs Colt Boom Boom Mike Bennett and Maria Nigel McGuinness Joey Ryan and Candice Brian Cage Tommaso Ciampa Willie Mack Roderick Strong TJ Perkins Low Ki Kenny King A Double The Wolves Somoa Joe Johnny Gargano Sonjay Dutt Amazing Red Homicide I'm sure there are more. That obviously goes along with the current WWE guys in their previous looks, so Tyler Black, Danielson, Claudio, Generico, Devitt, KENTA, Mox, Kevin Steen, and PAC. I really cant wait til solomon crow gets a figure (sami callihan). I will finally have the switchblade conspiracy (dean ambrose and him). A mattel ref build a figure of drake younger would be cool

I'd love AJ Styles and ROH versions of Danielson, Tyler Black, Kevin Steen, and Punk in silver shorts. Other than those guys though, I like to get figures we know we can have, like FB Jericho, current Rollins, and Surfer Sting.

I know we saw him when Zayn won the title, and he's been working the live shows but I want to see him on a weekly basis. |
