This whole storyline makes zero sense and just shows how horrible the writing team really is. With everything wrong with the WWE today, I don't think this storyline is the problem. It's pretty straight forward. Team Cena got the Authority fired, Rollins forced Cena to bring Authority back, the Authority fires Team Cena for revenge, and now Cena feels guilty. What doesn't make sense about it? |

The money machine quitting would not be best for business.
If they felt that Cena was the 'money machine' then they would have done everything in their power to help Cena remain WWE Champion for well over a year, and that has not been the case. They have done their hardest to get rid of Cena. Uhh... Yeah he is. Otherwise they would have fired him. They've made it clear they want him around. They just don't want him to be champion (for what reason I'm not sure...) |

For all we know, they could have scripts to go that would be must see shows every week, only to have Vince rip them up. I wouldn't doubt he's ripped up some solid episodes. |

It doesn't take a genius to write a storyline on a wrestling show, I'm sure these writers aren't that dumb, but too many conflicting ideas and an out of touch boss will screw everything. |

He's going to slow down and WWE is currently grooming its next crop. We were saying a similar thing about HHH not that long ago and he backed off too. Cena hitting 20 seems like a guarantee but I don't think it's realistic to expect more beyond that. He'll likely hit 16 & 17 this year or next at the latest and then he has 3 remaining reigns left into his 40's. If he serves as the MITB victim this year, it'll be his only time in the role and it'll be used to make Rollins. So any run after that point will be lengthy, and we don't even know if 16 will be a hot potato win. The goal is likely to pass Flair and make Cena "WWE's most decorated star EVER!" and they'll accomplish that with 20, which will never be surpassed in my lifetime. |
