I would have rather seen this gray-gloved Undertaker...  The mullet of the debut version ruins it for me. And it probably goes without saying that a 1998 Undertaker would be so epic. I'm surprised they haven't had one yet... |

I'll be getting both, but man the whole "not including the tie" thing is sorta lame at $20+ a pop. I keep my figures MOC, so it's extremely noticeable :/
I'll wait to find these at retail first, though.

For me the bigger problem is the flesh coloured arm peg on the Kane rather than no tie on Taker, it stands out a mile. Hopefully it will be fixed before it is released.
Also has anybody else noticed that the Taker box says Series 34 like the Kane one does?

With a plastic coat and a plastic hat, a fabric tie looks a little off. They probably couldn't figure out how to do a plastic tie in time so they went without it.
I think the beard on undertaker would be better if it weren't so darkly painted and a little purple under the eyes would make him look way better.
They should be doing everything in their power to match the figure, with the picture on the box.

Damn so no tie. I'll just make mine own. The fig itself doesn't look bad, but taker has a tie on the pic on the box.
Oh well.... He'll fit in with my early 90s display

Do you guys think taker has a modified elite 23 torso, with the added ripped sleeves from the basic purple taker? It looks like he does, if so, after swapping the head, tie and coat from the EG...I'll have my perfect early 90s undertaker  |

I'd like to hear the excuse for no tie. Normally I stick up for Mattel, because they do a great job. But E23 used more colors than this, and it still had a tie. Wth Mattel?

I'm pretty sure it's the same head, but yeah, the paint is too heavy on it. The beard looks so sloppy. If you look at the EG one, it's very fine and looks nice with the sculpting of his beard. There also seems to be less of the purple around his eyes on the new one.

No tie, no buy.
I know it's petty, but that's a pretty major part of his look. The figure has absolutely no graphical deco (unless he has a tat or two), it's just black molds and then the gray molds for the gloves/boots. I'll definitely get Kane since they corrected the mask, weird flesh peg be damned, but I'll be skipping Taker.

I'll expect Jakks not to include the tie but Mattel not doing it seems ridiculous at the price we pay for these figures. Undertaker always used the tie in that era so its disappointing it has not been included. I don't want to hear the excuse that the tie couldn't fit right on the new molded shirt, it should have been included because in the end it's an inaccurate Undertaker! I really quote!!! Now the most funny thing is if he comes without the 1 tatto on his right arm.... A dream destroyed!!! No excuse.... i'm totally sick  |

I want a real explanation on why the tie was not included. I can't believe it costs that much to produce. The figure has no deco and it's not accurate to any event. Seriously I just don't understand. I know there is not much of a budget for the legends but when it's the only thing I buy, I hate spending 30 for something incomplete. Then I have to spend another 20 which you don't get to the secondary market to get what's missing.
