So what was your first Jakks Mod ? doesnt matter if it was a leg switch or creating a whole new figure .
Mine was a leg mod as I learn the hard lesson of scale issues when this Bobby The Weasel Heenan was bigger than Bundy or Studd so I cut off a inch of his leg , dremeled out a new ankle hole and re pinned the shoe .
It was pretty funny as it took 5 hours and I try to find tips on how to un assemble it so I boiled it under the sink and finally tried the hair dyer and had some success as I didnt wanna wreck the figure so I was very careful but I soon found out Jakks was very very durable and I been hooked ever since and I just like doing part for part switches as the Jakks lineup is so deep .
So what was your first Mod big or small and pictures are always welcomed

I think I went straight to customising. My first was a Deluxe Punk in his yellow Summerslam 2009 attire.

Headswaps on RA's.
I was doing this back in 2005; and as I work in the printing industry, I'm used to handling paper, meaning my fingers are quite strong. I'd just snap the heads off; no need for boiling...years later when I found out about the boiling method, I decided to give my fingers a long-awaited rest and since then have used the boiling method without issue.
I later did wrist swaps, lower leg swaps, deltoid swaps and elbow swaps...I can't do torso swaps or full arm swaps though.

I forget what my first was but I started making all sorts of "customs " kinda destroyed most figs in the process though. Didn't even know about the boiling water stuff until I came here

I can also do hand swaps and boot swaps - everything but torsos and arm sockets...same goes for DA...

I recall, in 1999 that I had a BCA Triple H who's head broke off. Instead of putting back on its old body I took the head off an extra stone cold I had(I had ALOT) and glued the H head on it. So I had a trunks version of HHH. It worked out as the Austin I used didn't have his Texas tattoo. Not too bad for being 12/13 at the time.

Mine's the worst... I swapped a BCA Puzzle Zoo exclusive Razor Ramon head onto an Off The Mat Billy Gunn body so Big Titan (aka Fake Razor) could join DX. I then colored a 2 Tuff Billy Gunn's hair (the one with the bandana molded on) black with a sharpie and drew on stubble with a pencil and put the head on a Dan Severn body to make a really ghetto Scott Hall custom.

I took two of my Jakks Big Gold Belts, one small and one large, and made my own version of the nWo Championship Title Belts with a sharpie. Do I have the record for smallest modification!? HA!!

I used gel pens to ruin my BCA Superstars series 7 Undertaker, by colouring in his tats. So stupid, but I was 9 so... lesson learned.
Lesson learned that was AFTER I used a gold gel pen to draw crowns on my Billy Gunn's trunks' kisses, and also ruined a Jeff Hardy by colouring his hair.
Safe to say 15 years on, I'm a full-on customiser now with no issues.

I think I repainted an Edge figure to make my custom character back in the BCA days. I also turned a couple Tests into the Hardy Boys. Not sure what came first.

Sanding the hair and bandana off of WM 20 Taker, then adding TTL 10 (?) Matt Hardy hair. Not too shabby for a first, I'm quite proud of myself for keeping most of the eyebrows intact...then again, I was using a super-slow (yet pretty precise) method with emery boards.

Mine was using one of the early Adrenaline series Jericho figures (had weird flesh coloured tights and a horrible scan) to make a Kid Kash custom, however I used enamel paint instead of acrylic - I was 12, what did I know - and it went badly. Ten years on, I must have made about 200 custom figures...

I put a Wildman Marc Mero head on a STOMP series Marc Mero to make an BCA Eddie Guerrero.
