Now I get that Vader was a big man, but seriously JAKKS? Why the Yokozuna torso? I always wondered why they didn't use a different torso. Thoughts? What do you think would have worked better?

Vader was series 8. I believe a much slimmer, fat body as seen on Bam Bam Bigelow debuted in CS9. The Wild Samoans had that huge fat ass body in their CS 2-pack, but were later remade leaner in the set with Capt. Lou. While Vader's physique was somewhere in the middle of the two body types, I guess they just stuck with status quo when the Kane 2-pack came around.

It should of been masked Kane in that set.

I love it, it's an awesome figure. Scale doesn't bother me so much as missing details. The singlet, the horned pads accessory - one of my favorite figures.

You're questioning JAKKS scaling?

Yeah scale can be a issue and it shouldnt be that way but at least theres plenty of mods to make things work and thats what I like most about Jakks there very versatile if you wanna do the work and piecing things together are a blast for me . And with my Leg mod scale is no longer an issue and heres a before and after

Vader had the Yokozuna torso because it was the best part for Jakks to use at the time and they didn't really feel the need at the time to make a new torso for Vader. Should they have made a new torso in the future that better fit him they would have gone back and re-released him as such, thus making most collectors buy at least two of the figures, but then the line died and so that never happened with Vader. With Jakks I remember getting so excited for new figures I'd immediately buy them, even though it would often take them three or more times to get it right.
But yes, the answer is simply that this was Jakks. Have you checked out their TNA line? Eric Young is the same size and nearly everyone else and so is Shark Boy. And I really remember the managers (suited figures) being a major problem for Jakks in the CS line and in general because the majority of managers stood taller than the superstars they were managing. They did finally fix it, but it seemed to take forever. Really, this is just one example in a list that seemingly never ends as to what is wrong with the scale of Jakks wrestling figures.

While I agree with you 100% Jakks also said they dont make to scale if Im correct ? But the thing I like most about Jakks with all the figures is you can piece together some very cool mods or fixes and as I said before the leg Mod I perfected eliminates all tall Managers , announcers and Referees so I have no issues just a little extra work .
