That's been my point. Sure, he's not great. And he's not going to control a great match. But everything he does is smooth and crisp. He rarely has bad matches, and against the right opponent he could could be fantastic. I still don't think he's had those great matches to make him a top guy yet, but the potential is there. My biggest gripe is that he's not ready to have consistent 15 minute main event matches. And they're shooting themselves in the foot by not playing to his strengths promo wise That's understandable I guess. I think he could have a decent 15 minute match, except you'd be seeing him take a beating for the majority of it because that's just how WWE's matches work. But as for the promos, you're right. You should compare Reigns from just before to Cenas in the opening, they're so similar. Only difference is, people have just gotten use to the fact that week in and week out, Cena's gonna cut a horrible promo written for him by creative. Unfortunately, it looks like the same thing will happen to Reigns. They try make him appeal to kids to much with these cheesy lines etc, when he should just be a badass |

why do the commentary team watch the match on their monitors, its right there in front of them. They have to see what we see on TV. |

And they're shooting themselves in the foot by not playing to his strengths promo wise I said that exactly on here earlier, even used the "shoot in the foot" analogy. My biggest thing is that the problem isn't really his abilities, it's how WWE is using him. It's just a shame people are turning on him for that. They need to give him a better midcard feud with longer matches before shooting him to the top. Thee Orton feud wasn't great, but it was a good start. If I were WWE, I'd pull him and Rollins out of the title picture and have them work each other at Mania. If anyone can give Reigns that great match to propel him like they want, it's Rollins. Especially on the grandest stage of them all. |
