I've been looking at @shockwayne 's Brilliant display here link.
I've yet to build / buy a display, but looking at how the ESR takes up a hell of a lot of room, I questioned how I would accomodate rings in less space.
Whilst I would like to have a false wall, with coves of museum style display window's, in a man den so to speak, you would need to take up a good half a yard /metre of your room.
Then I thought about several shelf displays, with one larger display featuring a ESR, WM2 ring, and HIAC Scale ring.
And on the shelving, I thought about the age old problem of "tiering" your figures. Some use spice racks. Some use official display stands (expensive option), and I had this idea.
The smaller rings, can be found very cheaply on ebay.
What if you were to dremel or saw through the canvas, just a couple of inches past the turnbuckle. right the way across the rings, and skirts.
You would be left with a tiered display a couple of inches high, and a couple of inches deep. The ropes can be cut and put through holes, or pinned to the back of the display.
Each ring could create two displays, by using both ends of the ring....the ends with the banner on the skirt. You could buy rings with broken ropes, as you wouldn't need the full length.
Any thoughts? Anyone done this?
Do you need a picture?
