Oh look, this thread again. European title threads are becoming the new RYAN REEVES(Ryback) ACTUALLY EATS A LOT I see a new one every week I swear I don't think I've ever seen a "Ryback actually eats a lot" thread. My eyes will be open now though because its hilarious.

My eyes will be open now though because its hilarious. There's always a video of a tough enough scene showing how ryback tends to eat a ing lot. And it used to get posted (still does sometimes) like every few days with the title being something like "Ryan reeves(ryback) ACTUALLY eats a lot!

Exactly. Isn't Russia technically amnAsian country anyway? I think so, though Bulgaria is a European country...Still though, it just doesnt make sense to change it. Its like, what if someone from Samoa wins the IC Title...he's part of an Island not a continent....so why carry an intercontinental title? It only worked when it was Lance Storm.

was a very pointless title, and the roster size now compared to the attitude era doesn't demand random titles.

I wouldn't mind the European title coming back, but if it did I think it should only be defended on European tours.

Kid one of my favorite titles aesthetically, but the actual championship itself was meh. I did enjoy D-lo's run with it though. The British Bulldog dropping it to HBK in England was cool too. I was no reason for it to come back though. They're are to many titles that they aren't doing anything as it is. If they need to bring back any title it HAS to be the Cruiserweight title.
But I did want to see them let the European title be defended thought smaller European companies. Similar to the WWF Jr. Heavyweight title that was defended throughout Japan for a few years.

I've never really seen the appeal of that title coming back.

I've said it before and I'll say it again for all the non-European users on here who keep saying the belt would be great on Sheamus or Barrett. People from the UK and Southern Ireland take absolutely zero pride in being part of Europe. It means nothing to us. That's why when anyone here is going on holiday to somewhere like Germany or France, we say "I'm off to Europe". So bringing in a championship like that to try to appeal to the fanbase in England and Ireland would be a joke and actually, in all seriousness, feel a little insulting. Well said.....I don't see myself as "European" in any way shape or form.

Move on. They're never going to go back to that title from the past.

Never seen the big deal surrounding the European title. If anything it's less prestigious than the US Title. There's no point in having both the U.S. and IC Title when they're on the same level in kayfabe. If we have to have two Midcard belts it SHOULD be one for the upper midcard and one "lesser" belt for the mid and lower tier talent.

I respect why people would want a title for your Tyson Kidd's and your Justin Gabriel's but isn't that the NXT title. If they're not ready for the big time they should be demoted to NXT and fight for its title. You shouldnt be rewarded with championship gold for being 3rd rate jobber imo.

Surely doing a USA vs Russia storyline every month and bringing in American football players to host RAW is also insulting to the rest of the world, do you not think? It's WORLD Wrestling Entertainment after all. If you say so, mate. It doesn't bother me personally, because I accept it's an American company appealing majoratively to the American market. My comment was mainly about understanding what will and won't appeal to their foreign markets. For example, I was at a house show in Manchester and this lad comes out for a dark match dressed head to toe in Union Jack designs, he was supposed to be the face and was facing Gregory Helms (at the time a heel) anf the crowd was so behind Helms it led to him breaking kayfabe and wrestling like a face.

Cesaro looks so good with that belt it's like it was simply made for him.

No, that's not what the NXT Title is for. The NXT Title is not for your Tyson Kidd's and Justin Gabriel's. It's for your Sami Zayn's and Adrian Nevilles, the standouts of the Developmental league. And If you send Tyson Kidd, Justin Gabriel, Zack Ryder, Alex Riley, Titus O'Neil, Heath Slater, Darren Young and Los Matadores all to NXT, then they just take up space on NXT and Take time away from the actual NXT guys who need the "TV time" to learn how to work on TV. Just because they aren't potential world champions doesn't mean they don't have a place on the main roster. If you think that "third rate jobbers" shouldn't be rewarded with championship gold, then you probably wouldn't even like the idea of a Zack Ryder winning the NXT Title to begin with. Not everyone gets to be a WORLD champion, but everyone should be made to matter on some degree. If they had a dedicated tertiary title, then they wouldn't just be "jobbers".

No. We do not need more title belts. We just need champions to actually defend their current titles in actual feuds. More titles, more problems.

Let's have even more champions that mean absolutely nothing, have no storyline or exciting feuds but make it even less prestigious than the current ones. You're right though, jobbers matter. But only for the sake of having jobbers. You can't stack your roster full of top guys. The reason the guys you listed still have jobs are because they're needed to make others look stronger. Not to fight over tertiary titles no one would care about. You can't seriously tell me you'd be hooked on a division containing those guys. If you want more titles and the top development guys getting TV time then I think the solution is simple. Defend the NXT title on PPV.
