They have to make The Mountie. Jakks version was pretty piss poor at best, but at least they did make the gimmick.

I've been wanting a Mountie forever. The Jakks CS was hot garbage. I'm working on a custom, just waiting for the clothing from Rizalph.

And with the hat and glasses, you already have them, from the Sgt. Slaughter figures, you'd just have to repaint the hat brown. The only way I'd see the jacket being put with a Mountie figure would be if it was a molded one, since it wasn't a simple look, with the belt an all, but I wouldn't see Mattel viewing the Mountie figure as a big enough seller to put the resources into making a brand new mold, which would need a lot of attention. And honestly, I would doubt he would ever get the IC title, since he held the belt a total of 2 days. If any belt came with him, it would be a classic tag team title belt, from his later time in the Quebecers, since he wrestled in the same gear. Is there anyone else who has pinned Bret Hart AND Hulk Hogan and not had a figure from Mattel? When did the Mountie pin Hulk Hogan? It was in WCW in 97. It was a non televised show, and he pinned Hogan clean to win. Apparently Hogan put him over clean because of the respect he had for him, and the entire Rougeau family. |
