Let's face it. It seems as if though much of the hype regarding the Royal Rumble PPV is the John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship which makes all the other matches on the card (including the Rumble match) uninteresting. It was also the case back in 2013 when CM Punk vs. The Rock for the WWE Championship got more hype than the Rumble match.
As a result, something tells me that the reason the title match will close the show over the Rumble match is because I see a very exciting swerve (possibly an appearance by Sting) that will have everyone talking about it the following night. Your thoughts?

I feel like it will, but at the same time I feel like the coronation of either Reigns or Bryan will be saved for last...
If I had to put money on it, I'd say it will. An appearance by Sting is too likely for it not to go on last.

Definitely. The main reason why a title match closes the Royal Rumble is because something big is gonna happen like Kane dousing Undertaker's casket with fire or Undertaker using his powers to make the ring collapse.

Sting will NOT be at the Royal Rumble.
Clearly they put him on Raw, in hopes that new people will sign up to the WWE Network to see Sting at the Royal Rumble this Sunday. But I am sure he won't be there, because there is no reason for him to be there at it.

No. If Roman Reigns is going to win the Royal Rumble match, you can't risk having the audience sh*t on the Triple Threat. Play it safe and have it go on before the Rumble.

I'm going to the Royal Rumble.... and I was really hoping to see Sting.... and of course, I know you are correct.

I've loved the build up for the Triple Threat match but the Rumble should always go on last tbh. I always hated it when the Rumble never closed the show.

I feel like they thought about this. If reigns does win and the crowd turns on him because bryan lost then maybe it's a good idea to put the triple threat last to cool everyone down.

The Rumble match should always close the show unless something's going to happen like a ring collapsing or Undertaker's casket burning.
Look at the 2000 Rumble HHH vs Cactus was hyped more than the Rumble match and it took place before it so there's no reason why the triple threat should close the show.

I'm cool with it either way. The Rumble has a lot of excitement factor because there are two potential winners, and the triple threat has had an awesome buildup and intriguing possibilities for the outcome too. Both worthy of going on last.

It we hadn't had a Title Match in the last 4 months then I would've said have the Rumble match go on last like it should. But since we haven't seen a title match in ages, it makes sence to have it close the show.
I for one think that something like last years with the fans 'destroying' the winner won't happen again. I have this feeling that, eventhough it's in Philly, they won't boo the winner out of the building if it's Reigns.

The PPV is named the Royal Rumble. Therefore in my opinion, the Royal Rumble match should main event the show. It should close the show. Just like the Money In The Bank match should main event Money In The Bank.

Because they won't crap all over the winner and the rest of the show? I think it's a different scenario whether an old multiple time World Champ comes back and wins instead of a rising star, or whether another rising star wins instead of a rising star.
