He should be an anti-hero but not to the extent that Punk was.
I'd rather a serious, scary but awesome Reigns who cuts promos when necessary than a cheesy one who uses a swear word to achieve a pop and raises an eyebrow now and again.

I don't know if he works as an anti hero. I do think he could be a solid heel if kept his character more serious. I also think he'd be a solid top face doing the same. His interaction with Show on Raw was perfect. As far as an anti hero, Ambrose is the perfect guy for that role.

As long as he's not being written to sound like John Cena, I think Reigns is just fine as a face. Cena can make that stuff work most of the time. Reigns cannot.

He is fine as a face.....he just needs to be a different kind of face than Cena. They did this to Sheamus too.....he was an ass kicking face then they changed him and added all that smiley bullsh*t.
Reigns needs to be a Austin type face that doesn't care about the crowd. this will get him over.

I've been wanting a heel turn... I said a few weeks ago on here, that WWE should have the Authority and even Heyman screw over Lesnar at WM to align with Roman. Then Roman has Cena, Ziggler, Bryan, Ambrose, Orton, and maybe the Rock to feud with for the next year. This way Lesnar (presumably) leaves WWE looking like a chump, and Heyman has a new role in WWE. And there is no denying Roman could use a mouthpiece. And whom better for that than Heyman? Roman then can be the mega heel monster till his promo skills and in ring work improve enough for him to be the mega face WWE wants him to be.

Neither - no matter whether face or heel, he's still crap at pretty much everything. Certainly hasn't got the personality, or mic skills to be a "monster heel", lol. He just doesn't have 'IT' - at least not enough of 'IT' to be what they want him to be. I've been wanting a heel turn... Turning Reigns heel would be counterproductive. The WWE needs a reliable new face. There's nothing for Reigns right now as a heel.
Play him as a man with few words that kicks ass. He's got the badass look down, he's got the "it" factor.

As a heel he has Bryan, Cena, Ziggler, Ambrose, Orton, Ryback, Sheamus, & potentially the Rock. That's more than a year worth of feuds. Plus if Brock leaves after WM, WWE could use a new bad-ass heel monster.

Sheamus works better as a heel, and I'd say he could work with Cena or The Rock as a face too (either with Rock being the heel or just a face vs face scenario). A Heeltista vs. Reigns feud would also be interesting.

Reigns in a sense he reminds me a lot of Batista the 2004-05 version of Batista that was breaking away from Evolution Reigns reminds me sort of like that Batista in terms of his personality but also due to his look as well but also Reigns he is just too much of a bad-ass to ever be considered a goody-two-shoes type

Roman having some sort of swerve heel turn and being cocky as hell is probably the best thing they can do to him.
He could be like Heeltista Lite.

Yeah, he won't be face for too long. It just doesn't suit him. Also, his gimmick with the cheesy superman punch theatrics needs to be changed. It just looks ridiculous when he is doing that "locking" movement on his forearms before doing the punch as though his fist is a freakin' shotgun..haha..

In wrestling: Babyface. In Wfigs: Heel. And the funny thing is, if WWE did make him the #1 heel doing the Corporate Rock type deal, people will be complaining that he's being pushed ahead of Rollins rather than ahead of Ambrose. Yeah, he won't be face for too long. It just doesn't suit him. Also, his gimmick with the cheesy superman punch theatrics needs to be changed. Imagine a hundred gifs here of all the other silly theatrics before moves in wrestling history.
