Just saw this. Honestly, nothing is lost in this, aside from a beautiful 450.

I liked him, but damn he was doing nothing for what, the past three years?

I don't know how JDP will bounce back from this.

He was the Cape Town Werewolf and an Adrenaline junkie.
I loved how his 450 was the kill shot for the Nexus.
I saw him wrestle Sin Cara live at a Superstars taping before Raw in an awesome match.

Weird how WWE didn't announce it on their website. Not really a big loss for them though, but I wish WWE did something with someone as talented as Gabriel.

And no one will even notice the difference.

Good for him. He was never going to amount to anything there. Of course, that's because he sucked. From the start, he had a great look and awesome athleticism/gymnastics, but it never seemed to come together in the ring. Everything he did looked so flimsy, and he seemed unable to ever get comfortable performing. I hope he finds success in whatever he does next. Career highlight:

I agree about the Nexus bit. Kidd and Gabriel could have been something but Tyson has pulled off an amazing career rejuvenation in the past year. I wouldn't mind seeing what JG can do in a company like PWG or Japan.

I'm more so surprised he lasted as long as he did. The fact that they couldn't even find anything for him to do on a regular basis in NXT says they had no clue what to do with him. But I wish him the best of luck.

Seriously though, talented dude. But the writing was on the wall that there wasn't going to be a spot for him, particularly with Adrian Neville moving up to the main roster at the Rumble soon. WWE only has the attention span for one flippy guy at a time.

They don't usually take the time to announce when someone quits, only when someone gets released/fired unless the person leaving is a huge deal. Case in point, they didn't acknowledge that Punk left on WWE.com and didn't acknowledge it at all until their investors call.

Oh well, it's not like they were even doing anything with him. I'm just waiting for the report that Dixie Carter has signed him.

That is a shame. I had hoped he would have teamed with Kidd in NXT and then again on the main roster but nothing happened from their re-teaming late last year.. I was a fan of him but now that he is gone maybe he can actually do something in TNA, ROH, or Lucha Underground etc?

Justin Gabriel is trending on Twitter. This is the greatest night of his life.
And all it took was his job.

I enjoyed him but no real shock here. I think he was a guy with value that WWE should have found more for, even at the bottom of the card. He's flashy enough to curtain jerk with anyone on the roster. Good tag team guy.
Good luck to him.
