They don't ruin it and I don't want to lump an entire fanbase together, but man I'm getting annoyed at The Walking Dead fans who seemingly refer to every episode as "filler". I mean, I don't even care if you don't like it and want to bash it, but just because you find something boring doesn't make it filler. There were actually people who claimed the first episode that showed Beth in the hospital was filler. Like, what?

To be honest, the cynical overly critical wrestling fans make me hate the fact that I love this form of entertainment. I come here because I love it and want to talk to others who love it. Instead we get the ones that look for any excuse to crap over the WWE and anyone who supports them. The ones that look for any chance to cry "sheep" or "marks" to anyone that disagrees with them.
We all have enough issues to deal with in the real world. And our time here should be our chance to finally forget all those problems. Instead we get people acting like spoiled children and they call you names because you don't get all up in arms over a booking decision. I'm a 37 year old husband and father, but I get insulted by a 16 year old because I don't come here to complain! Cause I don't come here to vent!
That isn't what I signed up for.

The concept of "fandoms" in general drives me up a wall.
"Shipping" and "slash fiction" and "gender swapping" are some of the creepiest, weirdest, disgusting things Ive ever come across on the Internet.
Nothing annoys me more than those stupid ass mashed up names of characters people "ship".... They don't even make sense half the damn time!

The Toronto Maple Leafs!! The fanbase can't accept failure and seem to try and point fingers and blame everyone else but the team for being complete crap. I couldn't do it anymore!!

I have found that the more time I spend here, the less interest I have in wrestling and wrestling figures. I have watched maybe three episodes of Raw in parts over the last five years or so because I just did not find the product enjoyable. Don't try to tell me that I should be thankful there is a product, or watch it and deal with it, when what I think I am watching is hot garbage. The arrogant clowns who have to argue with everyone because they have a different opinion really turned me off from having any association with wrestling "fans" in general.
I'm sick of "adults" who have to bully and belittle people who aren't happy with a product that they invest a fair deal of time in. It's great if you enjoy it, but when people don't, they do not have to suck it up or deal with it. Unless you are on the WWE payroll to white knight every decision that people get ticked off about, chill out. Your browser should have a back button if you don't like it, but nah, let's troll people constantly and bait them into arguments because it's easy and a bunch of clique-buddies will be down with your snark. I gave up on even trying to read threads in the WWE board because the same posters kept chiming in with completely unnecessary venom constantly. You know, the "adults" who cry "smark" to anyone who disagrees with them.

No. I think that's ridiculous. Letting other fans dictate what you do and do not like.

Eminem fans have made me absolutely hate his music past and present. So sick of the people who talk about how Eminem is the only rapper discussing "real problems" - when what they really mean is Eminem is the only rapper discussing "first world, middle-class, angsty teen" problems

In the lead up to the eventual release of Chinese Democracy, there was this one Guns N Roses forum that I'd lurk to get new info on said album. I'm all for liking a band but it this site was one sided to the point where it was almost cult like. It nearly turned me off the band. I found another site to lurk which was more open and two sided which caused me to like the band again.
IRS and Sleeping Like An Angel probably know the forum I'm referring to.

Never ruined it for me, but there are some that are just plain annoying. -Breaking Bad. The amount of hatred some characters get its shocking. And some of them, its like they dont "get it", they dont get the story nor the characters and only like it "cuzz its breaking bad babyyy heisenberg is best! cuz he kills and stuff!...bitch!" -DC and Marvel. These two will always be at war, with movies and tv shows now gaining audiences, it really got ugly in some sites. Plus the Batman fans...Oh my God, they left me speechless sometimes. -Gamers. Such drama queens some of them are. Much like DC and Marvel fans, always at war with each other. Now this gamergate crap I recently read...wow just wow. -Some music fan bases. Always thinking their genre its "real music" and if you listen to anything else you should be shot in the face. -Anime fans. Some are never happy. NEVER. But hey, you can say that about every fan base. A fan should always be allowed to enjoy what they like, however they like it. But when it starts to mess with your life, then it gets really creepy.

The Christopher Nolan Batman fans. I really liked the first two but seeing people blindly praising that piece of crap that is the 3rd film...yeah. It just slightly depresses me. It makes it hard for me to watch the two that I actually like. Oddly, my experience has been more people blindly knocking the third film because others did. Not saying you're doing that, obviously, just that people have. I think the third was the weakest film of the series, but I still really enjoyed it. On topic, I try not to let other people ruin things I like. I think the closest that has happened would be something I'm not keen on or only mildly interested in getting hurt by fanatics. Or sometimes, if I haven't already started a show by the time people go nuts,I'll wait until it ends and all that has died down a little, so I'm not clouded by that. That said, I'm a Whovian, so I know what it's like to be on the excited side too. and it's a good thing I can separate fandom from shows, and the way a portion of the audience has turned on Capaldi is really disheartening. Still, I love his work and the show, so I've had no problems.

Walking Dead and Breaking Bad fans. 100% agree. I actually watched Walking Dead since it's started and have caught up to all the comics. So I always hate when people try and ruin it for me. There was one time in my class where the teacher asked what their favorite show was and most of the class said Walking Dead but when she asked who was their favorite character was also and they didn't even know any of the characters names. Breaking Bad watch it during summer last year and it was boring to me. Saying it's the greatest show of all time is illogical cuz I didn't really see anything great about the show. I'm not even going to bother and watch Dr. Who as I can I tell I won't like it.

I just wish that Walking Dead fans would stop praising every episode like it's the best episode ever when it's usually not.

Filler would be a storyline that ultimately goes no where and has no particular impact on the plot or characters. That doesn't apply to the Beth storyline at all, regardless of how good it was or wasn't. My point isn't that The Walking Dead is the pinnacle of television, just that I find it silly that any time an episode focuses on the characters it gets ripped as being pointless.
