We clearly dont care for Dwayne though. Have you watched any of his returns? He gets the biggest pop every single time. Last night being the only exception. Austin outpopped him(and Hogan) EASILY at WM30 man. as for this thread? I don't know what to think really.......

The Rock is the most electrifying man in wrestling AND Hollywood. And he fulfilled his promise that he will never leave wrestling. He always finds his way back even if he doesn't need the $$$

It's a different time. And I'm not just making an Attitude Era versus Reality Era point. People have to change over time otherwise people complain it was the same old s***.

Sweating is not a negative when talking about being in shape. Studies show that the amount you sweat is not an indicator of your fitness level. However, the more fit you are, the harder you are able to work and the your power is greater which means you are able to raise your core temperature in a shorter amount of time.http://forum.wrestlingfigs.com/post/new/314917

I think I went from one of the Rocks biggest fans from back in the day to not finding him entertaining at all lately. I remember he would grace the arena with his classy shirts, sideburns and arrogance never needing to suck up to the fans to get them to like him. These days I just see a fitness freak who is as dull as dish water. He got over because of the character he was during the attitue era but he hasnt been that character for years now and when he comes back hes no longer that cocky arrogant cool dude we all fell in love with. His jokes and such are not really funny, and he doesnt come out with the great one liners and such that made him funny. Dancing about back and fourth on the stage annoys me as well and he has a habit of repeating himself in the ring cutting a promo. Im not a fan anymore. Oh and for someone who is supposed to be so fit, he sweats like a bitch in heat. Same with Lesnar, they look like physical specimens but couldnt lace Flairs boots when it comes to fitness, that dude was running about the ring at a good pace into his 50s and Brock and The Rock are far younger.Had to get that off my chest, sometimes i just need a good rant! But it was deserved imo. This is absurd. There's a difference between being in shape and being in wrestling shape. And let's not act like Flair was cranking out 30-minute matches into his 50s. He arguably hasn't have a single five-star match since the early-90s. He spent the last 15 years of his career having mostly comedy matches. Rock and Lesnar are both elite athletes in superior condition, but there is absolutely no substitute for being in the ring. Just like NBA players being in great cardiovascular shape... they still need to work their way back into basketball shape to keep up with the guys that have been seeing in-game action.

Rock and Brock sweat so much because they have an enormous amount weight to move around. Flair was just a flabby old man who flopped around the ring.

Rock definitely lost his fastball long ago. I loved his first match with Cena because I was there live, but otherwise his promos have mostly been lame and his performances in the ring have been extremely underwhelming outside of a few great little spots.

Well for the 5 years he was there everyone loved it. People like him and Jericho come back and still prove they own it on stick if you ask me. I haven't seen a funnier nor better WWE segment since Rock confronted Rusev and I don't think I will till he comes back again. And in regards to the sweating, really? Who cares, have either Brock or Dwayne had a bad match since they came back? Not in my opinion so that doesn't matter.

Here's my thoughts on the Rock:
He had no bigger fan than me in 1998. I remember being at the Survivor Series that year & cheered until I lost my voice that he won the belt. I didn't care if he turned heel. It'd take a lot more than that for me to turn on him.
He was always one of my favorites, until he left in 2003. I was pissed & disappointed. I was one of those people who felt like he turned his back on wrestling, that he was too good for it. Especially when wrestling needed him the most. To this day, I've never seen a movie of his. I refused to.
Then he came back in 2012. I was hesitant to support him, but I realized he didn't have to be back if he didn't want to be. It's not like his movie career tanked & he came crawling back. I definitely appreciated that. I got to see him at WM28 & said if I never see him wrestle again, I'd be cool with that. But then he popped in & out for the next year. Again, because he wanted to, not because he had to.
People can say he's not the same guy, & he's not. I've come to terms with that. But the fact that he still comes back to contribute from time to time has earned my respect back.

I never fell in love with The Rock. I don't know him, and even if I did, I'm not sure he'd be the first man I fell in love with.
Dwayne Johnson could play a Ninja Turtle without makeup.

I'm still a big fan. I don't think what happened on Sunday reflects on the Rock at all. Fans smelled through that sh*t clear as day, was the problem. Plus, he still got the initial pop.
He's not the same guy, but then, I'm not the same fan I was 15 years ago either. The product is different, the demographic is different, the times are certainly different, and the Rock is a different guy in a different position in life right now. I've enjoyed plenty of the stuff he's done since returning and I thought randomly popping up to work over Rusev was phenomenal. It's sort of like DX in the late 2000s vs DX from 97-98. I mean was it ever nearly as good? No, it didn't really ever get close but that didn't make me like HBK or HHH any less, and I can appreciate the nostalgia of it.
The Rock is a giant massive star. Globally. He makes the WWE more significant just by showing up. Chris Jericho isn't the same guy, RVD can't go like he used to either. I mean what the hell do you want from him? To be 30 again?
