Hello Wrestling Fans, it's the eagerly anticipated Debut of WRESTLING SUPERSTARS. Please Note*1 - When reading through the episode 85% of the time read Gorilla Monsoon's commentary first, this is the dialogue in the caption box beneath the photo. Then read the Brains commentary second highlighted in Yellow. *2 - For Best results when you open the first image (OCEAN CENTER) make sure you hit F11 or whatever your fullpage key is, this is best viewed in full screen! That's it! Hope you enjoy the show! RAW WRESTLING SUPERSTARS - EPISODE #1

You've hyped it a lot, so I'm looking forward to this one. -Liked that you had mid-air poses. Definitely helps if you use every trick in the book if you're using figures with limited articulation -Nice opener. It definitely feels like wrestling from the late 80s/early 90s, which is perfect for the figures you're using -Enjoyed HTM's song for Macho Man -Not sure how long Jimmy Hart being invisible will last, unless you're in the process of making a custom -Surprised that Rick Rude went over Warrior. Having no aftermath of Warrior getting angry or complaining made him look a bit weak -Great end to the show. Really liked that ending and how it sets it up going forward A very enjoyable show. Really liked the length of the matches and everything about the fed suited it down to a tea. Great work!

I agree with what T said, some great work here! My only real complaint was the filter on the pictures and the different sized pictures. I'm not sure if this was meant to be a comic book, but the pictures changing size every shot doesn't help presentation, especially in a slideshow. If they were the same size it would've flown better, but that's just my opinion. It was a solid, well booked show with nice pacing throughout however. Nice arena too! Considering you are using the classic Hasbro figures, this is really impressive work due to the limited articulation.

Love your format Your poses with the hasbro figures are great I get the late 80s early 90s feel out of this without doubt you captured it The Segments and Honky Tonk Man's song were great Hogan and Piper should have good feud.
Overall great first episode man.

Absolutely fantastic!!!!!! What a great and fun show!!! You nailed just about everything you could out of a Hasbro fed all you need are maybe some announcers and a backstage area for interviews but besides all that a really stellar first outing for your fed. I actually dug the effect you used, Izzy used this effect and everyone Hated it!!! Then he hung around the board for awhile and in a few months everyone LOVED it, it was the most brilliant thing they ever saw lol!!!!!!!
You really captured the feel of a toy pic fed show which is what I think is missing from a lot of pic feds. They try and copy WWE TV, do it poorly, then say how creative their storylines or booking is when we really seen it all before. This is probably the first Hasbro fed done here in at least 6 years??? And I believe that one didn't really capture a WWF classic fed vibe the way you nailed it!!!!!
Cant wait for show #2 please keep this going and like I said the only thing you need is a backstage area and maybe a Mean Gene custom? But that's just really icing on the cake here.

Hey man, there's a lot to love here. But I'm going to start with a few things I think would help improve the show. Take em or leave em.
I didn't like the slideshow format, because the pictures were different sized. Slideshow isn't my favorite format to begin with, but the pictures changing size meant that some pictures were slow loading. Some took up the whole screen. Etc. Perhaps try and resize the pics to some universal dimensions?
The announcing was hard to keep track of. Sometimes it was on the pics, sometimes it was below the picture in text. Sometimes it was both! I'd say find a good spot to keep it and leave it there. I liked it on the pictures, especially when I could see who was saying it.
Those things aside, I think you're on to something. The filter doesn't bother me, but it works better on the smaller pics. I was surprised you were able to get as long of matches as you were out of the Hasbros. Really fun stuff. Liked the build to future shows with some hype on each match and announcing. Work on the spelling, capitalization and grammar and you'll be hitting homeruns man.
Can't wait to see how it goes. Congrats on delivering.

Thank you firstly to everyone who took the time to read the first Episode! I really enjoyed making Episode #1 and as some of you i've already spoken to in great length about my plans, it serves a good purpose to stick with what works and change what hasn't worked. So with that being said: *1 I am in the process of making WWF Managers (including Jimmy Hart), tbh i didn't want to delay my passion for telling a story, especially when there is a temporary way around it, it's not like the mouth of the south will be invisible for ever! haha *2 In the 2nd Episode I am going to definitely alter the way in which commentary is presented. I think i will try putting both Monsoon's + Brain's commentary in the pictures or put them both in the caption boxes. It seems that having 1 in the caption box and 1 in the photo is confusing some of you, the way i read it and the way i envisioned it clearly isn't the way readers are reading it. LOL. * the slideshow and picture size problem is something i anticipated, as announced a week before the showing Bigeviljohn was selected to preview the show and he did tell me about picture sizing, i was hoping viewing in full screen would of been better for everyone but in light of suggestions i will change the format in episode 2. Thank you again to everyone who has taken time to read through it, and digest the story as i set it out, as well as offering praise and constructive feedback, i realize i won't satisfy everyone with my choices and it's not my aim to please everyone just tell a story with a non-confusing layout and formula that works. I hope to use the first 2 or 3 episodes to iron out the creases and part of this process is just beginning, thank you very much again for your replies and feedback! I'm excited for Episode #2! :-) RAW

That was very fun to watch! When I was a kid, my brother gave me his old Hasbro Hogan and Ultimate Warrior, and I still have them now! So it's nice to see a Hasbro fed. I loved the commentary, and HTM's song was brilliant as well. Looking forward to seeing more from you soon!

YES! Hasbro's can still be very fun, i remember getting Macho King Randy Savage and having a battle royal, i didn't have a proper ring at the time so i actually turned a cereal box upside down to use as the Ring LOL. I had Macho King, Ultimate Warrior, Million Dollar Man, British Bulldog, Earthquake, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, Jake the Snake, Nasty Boys + Greg Valentine. I find it a fun challenge recreating the matches and stories even with the limited articulation of the Hasbro's with a little thought and careful camera angles you can make the moves still seem real. I wondered how creative i could be if i delved into Mattel, but that probably wont be for some time if even at all, I am exclusively collecting WWF Hasbro's only. Thank you for your comment, i appreciate you taking time to read it and i'm glad you enjoyed it RAW

I used a computer paper box as my ring when I first got my Hasbros. Good times. I only had 3 back then, but man did they have some wars.

Man, this was a great show! I love this cartoon style you did! I think you've worked very well with Rick Rude figure, making a lot of action with a hard figure. Congratulations! I'm waiting to see the next show!

I'm waiting to see the next show! Thank You my friend, your comments mean alot! :-) i am glad you liked the show, and yeah it is difficult when wrestlers hold limited pose/actions so you have to be creative with camera angles as well as the figure positions to make things look different. I also look forward to Episode #2 as we will be one step closer to finding out who will be WHC! RAW

Brought me back to my childhood, i loved my hasbros...in fact i got back into figures because macho mans legend figure was the same as the hasbto
The poses you got with the limited articulation was awesome, and you had a good mix of faces and heels going over
My only criticisms were the commentary placement and the slideshow, but you have already addressed that
Looking forward to episode 2!

Great show. I love the fact that you are using the Hasbros, and the presentation of your show really captured the innocence of those times and the fun of that particular figure line. My criticisms are the same as everyone else - commentary and picture size. Those are minor issues at best, because your content is great.

This was fun. Hasbros were the ish back in the day. I initially didnt think this would be worth checking out, but I was wrong and glad I did. It's cool to see the old hasbros WWF figs. Liked the cartton effect and the use of sound effects. This really captured the old school feel of toys in comics...very nostalgic. I'd agree put in some backstage segments, and perhaps some interviews and it'll be good. This is a nice change of pace fed on the board, and will be fun to watch. Keep up the good work:)

This was a really cool and fun show. I enjoyed this a lot. I though posing was pretty good for hasbros as well. This has a great cartooney classic feel to it. I thought this show was awesome. Real original and fun. Good stuff man, maybe next time work on the way you do your commentary, maybe add it in like a comic book like Warsman used to do. Good stuff Richard.

Very entertaining show, i like the use of hasbro figures, it makes your fed look very unique. i like the old school look, great show i really enjoyed watching it, i like your storyline of Hogan and Piper, i would love to see if you make him a heel as that would be very intresting, a heel Hulk Hogan in the 80's would be brilliant and something no one has done before i pic feds. great show i look forward to seeing more from you.

Hello guys, I decided to act now on some of the feedback and rather than wait for Episode#2 I decided to republish Episode #1 with a new layout/format. In this republish i have scrapped the pic gallery layout (lots of complaints) and gone with single photos (it's taken me about 6 days to re-edit these and put them into sequence) it takes longer to put them in single pics like this (because in pic gallery you just number the pics and the gallery sorts them for you). But i guess if people prefer to look at the pics this way then it would make sense to give the viewers what they want. Also in this republishing is the commentating largely removed from the pictures, this is hopefully to avoid any confusions as to who says what in the scene. Instead the commentary appears under each photo. Including the scripting for both BRAIN: or MONSOON: I haven't changed the results of the matches, and the text remains largely the same but for a few minor alterations. Let me know your thoughts on the republish for Episode #1 (since i will probably use this layout and format for Episode #2) and thank you so much for checking it out. Episode #2 should be ready for Start of next month! 03.01.2015 RAW

This is truly outstanding! Sorry I haven't replied until now (unless I have, in which case, oops).. Me and my buddy actually watched this together and we were both full of praise! I love you're idea of one-pic pre match promos, it's a real awesome way to have a break inbetween matches. Each match was great, particularly liked seeing Polkadot Dusty with the DustBuster! Honky tonk against macho man had a really great and natural face/heel vibe. And I couldn't believe when Rude went over Warrior! Great ending too with hogan showing compassion for Piper, I like where this tournament is going! I can't wait to see how this pans out.. Brilliant stuff man! It can't be knocked in the slightest, you've captured 80's WWF perfectly. And I LOOOVE the comic book style "WHAKK" and "THUMPP"s etc! Keep this up!!

Thanks so much .POOKY. for taking the time to view my slice of Nostalgia pie! I really appreciate the feedback and i'm glad you got some enjoyment from this, particularly happy you feel there is an 80s vibe to the comic book story. I enjoy capturing the images and setting a reality and environment for the figures to explore, and it means a lot if someone else see's what i see and gets a similar buzz or kick out of it. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long until the next Episode as it will be published today! The WHC Tournament continues with Bracket 2. You'll see the colossal 8th wonder of the world Andre the Giant, home town Hero Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Scheming calculating Million Dollar Man, Demolition, Akeem, Big Boss Man and Jimmy Superfly Snuka! I've re-edited the photos from Episode #1 so that they fit better into the screen, scrolling and loading times should be much improved. RAW
