Best movie in my opinion of last year. Everything had me hooked. The acting, the story, the twist, the score, even the ending. Can't say enough good things. Have the book and waiting to start it when I have the time.

I just think it was too over hyped in my own opinion! Good but not all that. Just again the ending let it down for me.

Thought it was the best film of the year, hands down. Gripping, thought-provoking, stylish, and gorgeous. Absolutely ridiculous that it didn't get an Oscar nomination.

For as long as the movie was, it had me glued to my seat. Great movie.

I agree, this was my favorite movie of 2014 and it's a shame that it went mostly overlooked by most awards groups. I thought Affleck was absolutely fantastic in it, probably the best performance of his career to date, and the fact that Reznor and Ross didn't get nominated by the Academy for Best Original Score is just a joke. So lame.

Ho boy, just ok? Come on now. This film was fantastic and made story telling feel significant. I know it's based off the novel, but Hollywood should be doing more of this, and less of ing with stuff that was good 25-30 years ago.

Girl friend read the book and loved it. Thought it was going to be a chick flick. Pleasently surprised (we just watched today). Though i hate that type of ending...

Neil Patrick Harris takes a role that shows everyone why he's a gay man.

I enjoyed the abrupt, unresolved nature of the ending. But, if you're interested, the book goes into greater detail concerning Nick and Amy's relationship after Amy's stagy return. The book also delves into more of the psychological aspects of a relationship, which I enjoyed immensely.

That's one element of the book that I was looking forward to seeing in the movie... the fact that Nick plans to kill Amy if/when she returns. When I heard the talk about "This is an entirely new third act!" and all, I assumed he would follow through on that to give the story the more standard Hollywood ending. Glad it didn't happen, especially with the crew talking sequel.
