Junior Heavyweight Division - Progs vs. Snickelodeon vs. Cameron Stone
Progs' Submission WWE RAW: February 23rd, 2015 - 34 Days until WrestleMania 9:42 PM - Following the signature Bray Wyatt eerie sound bite that sends chills down the spines of the thousands in Nashville, Tennessee, the familiar "Live in Fear" song by Mark Crozer resonates throughout the sound system. Thousands of cellphones light up in the air, waving back and forth, as the fireflies emerge as Bray Wyatt's face creepily is shown on the TitanTron. With a smile plastered on his face, he demands silence from his fireflies in the arena.
"I've been watching you man. I've been watching you for quite some time, now. And, oh, how they use to fear you. But look at what you did. You let all that fear turn into love and admiration. You fail to keep a promise, and they give you a standing ovation, man. You let that love go to your head! But me, I'm a little different. I am the new face of fear. The devil has a new face, man. That new face is me. I know you can hear me, deadman."
A loud cheer emerges from the WWE Universe from the supposed mention of The Undertaker. Bray Wyatt laughs maniacally in the darkened backstage area, before his signature sound bite once again shaking the WWE Universe to their core. The question on everybody's mind at this point is "Did Bray Wyatt just call out The Undertaker?"
WWE RAW: March 2nd, 2015 - 27 Days until WrestleMania 10:49 PM - Following last week's eerie message from Bray Wyatt, where he seemingly called out the Undertaker, the fans were anticipating Wyatt's advertised in ring message here tonight. Following the signature sound bite, the fans knew they were in for a treat. As the fireflies surrounding the entire arena, Bray Wyatt slowly made his way to the ring under the guidance of his lit lantern. There was a buzz full of tension filling the arena as the 'Eater of Worlds' entered the ring with a grin on his face.
"I knew you heard me last week, deadman..."
Bray Wyatt's speech was cut short as the signature gong sound hit to a huge ovation from the WWE Universe! Fans sprang up onto their feet as the sound of the Undertaker's druids resonated throughout the ear canals of every single person standing in the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The commentary trio of Michael Cole, Booker T, and John "Bradshaw" Layfield remained silent as the famous shadowed figure of the Undertaker emerged through the smoke covering the stage. Tension fills the arena as the druids file out on the stage holding their torches up into the air as the shadowed figure of The Undertaker makes his presence felt while slowly walking down the ramp and into the ring, coming face to face with 'the new Face of Fear'. To a loud ovation, Undertaker turns his head to the giant WrestleMania Play Button sign hanging from the rafters. And to the surprise of every single fan in the WWE Universe, The Undertaker declines with a smirk, a way of telling Bray Wyatt that 'The Eater of Worlds' is not worthy of such a match.
"I get it, deadman. You're scared, man... You proved last year that you're nothing but a failure, man. You're a failure!"
Wyatt continued to scream the insults in the face of The Undertaker who turned his head back to the WrestleMania ►sign and contemplated the match one more time. Wyatt has grown a wide grin, seemingly from manipulating "The Phenom". Undertaker returns his focus on "The Man of 1000 Truths" and says nothing, but he doesn't have to. With his signature throat slash taunt and the roll of his eyes, The Undertaker accepts Bray Wyatt's challenge. We are going to get Bray Wyatt versus The Undertaker at WrestleMania! But wait a damn second! Bray Wyatt has just hit The Undertaker with the Sister Abigail maneuver! Bray Wyatt stands tall over "The Deadman" as RAW comes to a close.
WWE SMACKDOWN: March 12th, 2015 - 17 Days until WrestleMania 9:53 PM - Bray Wyatt has been somewhat absent since his match with The Undertaker was made official and Wyatt, himself, viscously attacked "The Deadman". That is until tonight, as "The Eater of Worlds" returns to Smackdown . "Live in Fear" by Mark Crozer is amped up to the max in the stereos as Bray Wyatt slowly walks down to the ring surrounding by thousands of his fireflies. Entering the ring, Wyatt has a sadistic grin on his face with a microphone in his hand as he kneels down on the ring mat, staring directly into the WrestleMania Play Button sign hanging in the rafters.
"For years, you were synonymous with that very event, deadman. When people thought WrestleMania, they thought of The Streak. Every year, men tried to conquer but they failed. One by one, you knocked them down and struck them down. That's what he wanted you to do to. Then you failed him. The devil is real, man. He told me 'Bray, you have to finish him. He's failed us all.' And I took that to heart, man. I know what I have to do, deadman. I must end you, man. You're nothing but a shell of who you once were. You need me. I need to end you."
Wyatt starts to laugh like the twisted freak that he is until a huge bolt of lightning strikes the WWE stage. The lights in the famous Joe Louis Arena all shut off as the signature gong hits to a huge ovation from the WWE Universe here in Detroit! Coming out from the back like a bat out of hell, The Undertaker hits the ring and comes to blows with Bray Wyatt. In his first Smackdown appearance in over two years, Undertaker and Bray trade lefts and rights. 'Taker gets the upper hand as he clotheslines "The Eater of Worlds" over the top rope and to the outside floor! The fans have come unglued as Wyatt takes control, bludgeoning "The Deadman" with a kick to the gut. Wyatt looks to hit Sister Abigail on the guardrail, but the Undertaker reverses and connects with a huge uppercut and follows with a big boot that sends Wyatt on top of the commentary booth. Undertaker never hesitates as he plants Wyatt through the table to deafening cheers with a chokeslam! The Undertaker stands tall over the fallen Bray Wyatt as Smackdown comes to a close.
WWE RAW: March 16th, 2015 - 13 Days until WrestleMania 8:02 PM - With only thirteen days left until WrestleMania ►, the WWE Universe in the Wells Fargo Arena started the broadcast of Monday Night RAW with an eerie feeling in the air as the signature gong of the Undertaker hit as the "Demon of Death Valley" slowly made his way down to the ring to an ominous feeling in the air. Following his signature eye roll, the Deadman entered the ring and was given a microphone as smoke fills the ring.
"Bray Wyatt, at WrestleMania, you will meet the reaper himself. For over twenty years, I have stepped foot inside the confines of this squared circle, and one by one, every single person that has stepped in front of perished. I've been the reaper among the wayward souls since 1991. Collecting souls from the very first day, I have been the personification of evil. And they respect me. For the past year, I have been living in my own personal hell since the end of the streak. I've lost Paul Bearer, I've lost my streak. I've lost everything. Come the time the bell rings signaling the end of my match at WrestleMania, win or lose, it's time to rest... in... peace..." The Undertaker stares directly towards the WrestleMania Play Button sign, before bowing his head to the ring. The WWE Universe is left in shock, as Undertaker has just revealed that this upcoming WrestleMania match will be his last. The eerie chill in the arena is cut as the theme music of Bray Wyatt hits the sound system. The "Eater of Worlds" makes his way onto the stage grinning like a Cheshire cat.
"You are nothing but a fraud, deadman. You come out here and say you're 'the personification evil', man. You're a liar! I am the personification of evil! Set the date, March 29th, Bray Wyatt slays the deadman in the ring. Bray Wyatt is the devil. I've got the whole world in my hands, deadman. I will put you out of your misery..."
The fans cheer loudly as Wyatt is interrupted by the Undertaker , standing in the ring. With evil in his eyes, 'Taker will not stand for the slandering of his Hall of Fame worthy career.
"I am not leaving without a fight. Welcome to hell, Wyatt."
The Undertaker finishes his speech as a lightning bolt strikes the stage, forcing the lights in the arena to flicker. However, Bray Wyatt is standing in the ring behind the "Last Outlaw". Undertaker doesn't take notice until he is turned around by "The Eater of Worlds" and is on the receiving end of a devastating Sister Abigail! Undertaker is left motionless on the ring mat as Wyatt stands over top of him, bent over, spewing nonsense in the face. That is until Undertaker sits up and clutches Bray's throat and looks to hit a chokeslam. Undertaker has Wyatt in the air, but the lights cut out. When they come back on, The Undertaker is left in the ring alone as Bray Wyatt stands atop of the stage laughing maniacally.
WWE RAW: March 23rd, 2015 - 6 Days until WrestleMania 10:13 PM - Sitting backstage in a dark area, Bray Wyatt's only source of light is his lantern. With a grin on his face, Wyatt's figure is standing in front of the Undertaker's signature cross structure. Lighting a match, Wyatt sets the cross ablaze. With the inferno behind him, Wyatt is dead set on sending a message to "The Phenom".
"Ash to ash. Dust to dust. This Sunday, I end the career and the legacy of The Undertaker. The devil will finally destroy the failure. Rest in pieces, deadman."
Wyatt laughs maniacally in the back as the famed cross of The Undertaker burns in the background. Will Bray Wyatt burn the legacy of the Undertaker? Or will The Undertaker prevail before resting in peace?
WWE WRESTLEMANIA ►: March 29th, 2015 The end has finally come, in just a few moments we will witness the final encounter of the Undertaker in the WWE ring. But before we head to the match, a video package is shown set to Black Sabbath's song "Black Sabbath". Throughout his tenure in the WWE, The Undertaker has been a staple of fear among the many men and women who have stepped foot in the middle of the ring. Highlighted in the package includes Undertaker's debut at Survivor Series in 1991, his first WWE World championship victory, as well as his fabulous relationship terrorising the many members of the WWE alongside Paul Bearer. It transitions to the Attitude Era where The Undertaker ruled the world while leading the Ministry of Darkness. Following that, the emphasis was put on the famed WrestleMania Streak. Until last year, where Brock Lesnar conquered the streak. The video then transitioned to the current feud between Bray Wyatt and Undertaker set to "O'Death" by Jen Titus. Bray Wyatt has promised to slay Undertaker and to show the world that the devil exists and should be known as Bray Wyatt. " I know what I have to do, deadman. I must end you, man. You're nothing but a shell of who you once were. You need me. I need to end you." said by Bray Wyatt is highlighted as well as "The Eater of Worlds" setting Undertaker's famous cross symbol ablaze. The video then transitioned to "Battle Cry" by Imagine Dragons, focusing on the two men throughout their career wrecking havoc on the WWE. It can be said that Bray Wyatt is the modern day Undertaker, but tonight, he looks to end that stigma as he aims to destroy the Undertaker in front of our very own eyes. The final shot of the video package is of The Undertaker standing in the middle of the ring, alone, looking out into the empty seats of Levi's Stadium. The sound of the gong hit, as the video fades to black.
Returning live to WrestleMania Play Button, the theme of Bray Wyatt hits as "The Eater of Worlds" makes his way down the ramp slowly with a sadistic grin painted on his face. In just a few moments, he looks to deliver on his promise of ending The Undertaker once and for all. Wyatt, with lantern in hand, is dressed in an attire that can only be described as a nod to The Undertaker of old. With a see-through mask, a frayed purple and black tie on his now famous shirt. Instead of his normal pants, he wears a dark purple pair with the Holy Rosary formed by two snakes and a the Wyatt lantern logo set as the cross. Bray enters the ring as sits in the corner, mumbling to himself, as he turns his head to the stage awaiting the arrival of the Undertaker...
Following a hit of the gong, the lights in Levi's Stadium fade away to darkness as the entire arena is black. There is a buzz in the air as the WWE Universe awaits Undertaker to make his entrance in his last match ever. The song of the druids starts playing as about fifty druids walk down the ramp, side by side, holding their burning torches up in the air. The druids continue to hum their Gregorian chant until another hit of the gong sends them all to silence as the arena is only lit by the fifty flames of the druid's torches. Suddenly, smoke fills the stage as the iconic theme of The Undertaker starts to play throughout the stadium here in Silicon Valley, California. The shadowed figure of The Undertaker walks out from backstage into the chill air of this long awaited California night. Undertaker, with his trademark hat and trenchcoat, slowly walks down the ramp. The druids' still hold their torches high up in the air as Undertaker passes underneath of them, like the demon that he is. As he reaches the bottom of the ramp, "The Last Outlaw" makes his way up the ring steps and raises his arms, while the lights also fade back on. The WWE Universe here at WrestleMania are buzzing as Undertaker rolls his eyes to the back of his head for the very last time. Wyatt is foaming at the mouth, figuratively, as Undertaker steps into the ring and stares him down. The druids circle the ring, holding their torches up high, as Undertaker slowly takes off his black hat and long black trenchcoat while staring down "The Eater of Worlds".
Bray Wyatt versus The Undertaker This is it, we are witnessing the end unfold in front of our own very eyes. On one side of the ring stands Bray Wyatt, who paces back and forth while shaking his arm creepily. On the other side of the ring stands the "Phenom", Undertaker. With his eyes dead set on Bray Wyatt, the legend is not fazed by the actions of "The Man of 1000 Truths" and instead, turns his head and stares out into the sea of humanity that is sitting in the stands, bearing witness to the final match of "The Lord of Darkness". The bell rings the standard three times as Bray Wyatt and Undertaker come face-to-face in the middle of the ring. Both men's eyes meet as they stand their engaged in a face off, chills forming up and down the spines of every single member of the WWE Universe in Levi's Stadium and those watching at home. Bray throws the first punch, only for it to be returned by 'Taker. The two men continue to go blow for blow in the middle of the ring, until Undertaker takes advantage and connects with a combination of lefts and rights. Wyatt stumbles backwards into the corner, and the "Deadman" continues with the strikes. The referee forces the "Last Outlaw" to break out of the corner. Undertaker obliges, but lands a right hook to the corned Bray for good measure for a small pop. Bray does not look on in fear, however he starts mumbling to himself again as he charges 'Taker and takes him down with a huge clothesline! Bray shoots the half for a quick cover, but 'Taker kicks out at one. Both men return to their feet, as they come face-to-face once again in the middle of the squared circle, the fans once again with chills down their backs. Rights and lefts flow in the air once more, this time however Bray takes the advantage and drops Undertaker onto the mat with a quick DDT. Instead of going for the cover, Wyatt proceeds to lay in the boots to the downed Undertaker. Undertaker fights his way back up, as Bray taunts the downed "Deadman". "You will perish!" says Wyatt as he kicks Undertaker in the gut. After a few moments of grappling, 'Taker and Wyatt fight over into the corner, where Undertaker takes advantage! Using his years of experience, Undertaker climbs up to the top rope and walks to the middle, signaling for his classic 'Old School' maneuver but Wyatt crotches the legend on the top rope. With Undertaker hanging there, Wyatt bounces off the opposing ropes and charges the "Last Outlaw" and pushes him off the top rope as the "Demon of Death Valley" crashes hard on the outside! Wyatt follows 'Taker to the outside. Laying in some more boots, Bray turns around and taunts the fans in his usual Jesus pose, only for him to turn back around into a huge big boot from 'Taker! Undertaker rolls back inside of the ring, as Bray follows. Undertaker goes for the pinfall attempt, but is only successful in getting a two count. Undertaker returns to his feet, the fans still in a buzz. "The Last Outlaw" lifts Wyatt to his feet and looks to connect with a devastating chokeslam and he's successful! Wyatt's body lays on the mat, as Undertaker simply stares at him as Wyatt lifts up into his creepy spider walk! The fans are in awe as 'Taker looks down at Wyatt, creeped out. Undertaker's eyes open up widely as Wyatt pops up immediately and plants him with a Sister Abigail! Bray hops over for the cover... only to get a two count! The fans are on fire as Wyatt crawls over to the corner and holds onto the top rope, before bending his body. However, as he bends over, The Undertaker has risen and grabs hold of him and flips him up in a Tombstone position. Undertaker hits the innovative Tombstone Piledriver, shoots the half and hooks the outer leg but only scores a two count. Both men lay on the middle of the mat, motionless, as the WWE Universe is buzzing. The referee reaches a count of eight as Undertaker sits up while Wyatt returns to the spider walk position, truly a sight to see as both men rise to their feet and come face-to-face once more. Wyatt hits a punch to a loud 'boo' from the crowd, meanwhile 'Taker responds with a punch to a loud 'yay' from the WWE Universe. In quick succession, both men hit their punch, teetering on exhaustion. Undertaker gets the upper hand, and hits Wyatt with a right that sends him crashing to the mat. Wyatt tries to roll out of the ring, but Undertaker catches his foot and hits him with a boot. Wyatt tries to crawl his way out of the ring, but his head is the only thing that manages to reach beneath the bottom rope and The Undertaker notices. Going on the side of the ring, Undertaker jumps high in the air and lands on Wyatt's neck with a huge legdrop! Bray rolls back into the ring, gasping for air as he gets back up to his feet and turns around into another Tombstone Piledriver! Undertaker covers Wyatt once more, but can only get a two count! The fans are on fire, surprised that Bray Wyatt was able to kick out of not one, but TWO Tombstone Piledrivers! Undertaker's eyes says it all, as he remains motionless next to the body of "The Eater of Worlds". Undertaker uses the ring ropes to bring himself up to a vertical base, as Wyatt is starting to stir on the ring mat. Undertaker stalks his prey, awaiting Wyatt to rise. "The New Face of Fear" crawls to the feet of 'Taker, and uses his body to return to a vertical base. Wyatt is on wobbly legs as he rests on Undertaker's body. "The Demon of Death Valley" delivers his signature cut throat taunt before hoisting Wyatt up in the air looking to connect with a third Tombstone Piledriver. As 'Taker tries to turn Wyatt in the air, Bray jumps off and lands behind Undertaker. And in one swift motion, Undertaker is planted with a devastating Sister Abigail! The entire momentum of crowd reaction has swayed, as both men are once again motionless in the middle of the ring. With a buzz in the air, both Wyatt and Undertaker stir on the mat. Both men rising to their feet, as they are both on wobbly legs. Another round of punches with 'boos' in Wyatt's way and 'yays' in 'Takers. Boo! Yay! Boo! Yay! Boo! Yay! Boo! Yay! Boo! Ya- OH MY GOD. Out of nowhere, Bray Wyatt grabs hold of Undertaker's arm and plants him with another Sister Abigail! Bray Wyatt slowly crawls over and places one arm over the beaten chest of "The Deadman". The referee drops to the mat and counts... One... Two... Three! Bray Wyatt defeats The Undertaker
Bray Wyatt and The Undertaker both lay in the middle of ring, motionless, breathing deeply. The WWE Universe is in awe, standing and giving both men a deserving standing ovation. Wyatt crawls to the corner of the ring and stares at the downed Undertaker with a grin. "I've ended you!" shouts Wyatt as he leaves the ring with a sick smile on his face. Bray Wyatt stands at the end of the ramp, looking around Levi's Stadium. "I told you so. Fear the reaper, Undertaker." adds Wyatt as he gingerly makes his way up the ramp. However, all eyes are on the Undertaker in the middle of the ring. Tonight's loss marks the end of a Hall of Fame worthy career, a career spanning twenty-four years. The Undertaker finally reaches his feet, looking out to the sea of humanity inside of the stadium in Silicon Valley, California. Not a fan is sitting, everybody is on their feet, clapping for the dedication The Undertaker has given for this company. With a tear rolling down his face, Undertaker kneels down one last time, giving his iconic pose as the signature gong hit. The lights go out, blackness roams the arena, and when they come back on, The Undertaker is nowhere to be found. The Undertaker's storied career has written its final chapter here tonight at WrestleMania ►.
Red Dragon's SubmissionRebooking Undertaker at WrestleMania 31 Continuing from current booking.
RAW Feb 9th Bray Wyatt appeared on the big screen, darkness all around him. He was rocking in his chair with the lantern in his hand. He walks towards the camera with the lantern held up to illuminate his face.
“Home. Home is where the heart is. But I have no heart… And I know you don’t too. For you made a deal with a devil. And so did I. This Faustian pact we’ve made runs deep. DEEP INTO OUR VERY BLOOD! We can’t escape it, oh no, we can never run from it. It is in us. In both of us. It makes up the very essence of us. But there is one way to kick it out. That is to beat it out. Do you want me to put you to rest? You, the wounded animal. I, the merciful. I will lay you to rest.” ----
Later on in the show, the “Eater of Worlds” took on his former friend Erick Rowan. Wyatt was in full control. Erick got a few shots in but when the action spilled to the floor, Wyatt threw Rowan into the steel steps. Wyatt placed Rowan’s head over the steel steps and grabbed a chair. Standing on top of the steps with the chair in hand, Wyatt proclaimed “Let this be a message!” And then sandwiched Rowan’s head between the chair and the steps.
RAW Feb 16th The big screen in the arena went black with Wyatt’s signature noise sounding. He began talking, still unseen.
“Isn’t it a strange phenomenon? Something that we all see with our own two eyes. It’s something we take for granted. Then when it happens. After years of triumph. The inevitable fall.”
A scull then appeared lit by a single lantern.
“A vision that shocked the world! Broke hearts and minds alike. Wasn’t it a sight. To have everything you have ever known questioned. Just think, what it was like to be you. To suffer such defeat after being the big dog for so long. Then you wander back in your cave, weakened, sad… alone. For a year you have dragged your feet and hidden your once fearful face. I can end this. I can put you out of your misery."
The scull moved out odd view and Wyatt’s face appears.
“Let me be the one.”
Wyatt laughs, holding the lantern in one hand and the scull in the other. ----
Later on in the show, we saw a clip from the after show of last week’s Raw. Erick Rowan swore revenge on Bray Wyatt and challenged him to a match at Fast Lane. This was then officially announced.
Fast Lane Feb 22nd
Erick Rowan made his way out first and waited for his former leader. Wyatt then walked to the ring in his usual manner. But with the scull from Raw in his hand. The match itself started with Rowan being the more aggressive out of the two. But a shot to Rowan’s throat turned the tides. Wyatt spoke throughout the match but it wasn’t clear what he was saying. On the outside, Wyatt threw Rowan into the barricade and the steel steps. “This is your future, this is your end.” Wyatt shouted. Back in the ring, a beaten Rowan didn’t stand much of a chance and soon fell to the Sister Abigail.
Wyatt celebrated his win, kneeling in the middle of the ring with his arms outstretched. Then…
Gong.
The lights went out and Wyatt sprung up to his feet. When the lights came back on Wyatt was standing. He looked around. “Is that all you got?” Wyatt screamed, “Your tricks don’t work on me.”
RAW Feb 23rd Bray Wyatt took on Zakk Ryder. The match lasted less than three minutes. Ryder got one move in which was a dropkick. But Wyatt no sold it and clotheslined him. A Sister Abigail gave the win to “the New Face of Fear”. After the match Wyatt took a mic, he cradled Ryder in his lap and began to speak:
“You think you can scare me? I am a not a man, I am no mortal. For I fear nothing. But you. I am beginning to see through clear eyes now, that you, you are… you are just a man. Just a man. Unworthy to see me in my grander. I see now. OH NOW I SEE! That you are a man with a box of tricks. A conman, A LIAR! You are nothing. That is why I must see your destruction. That is why I must take your place as my own. I must take your mantle and become… a Phenom.”
RAW Mar 2nd Gong.
The Undertaker’s music plays but Bray Wyatt comes out with lantern and an urn in his hands. In the ring stands his rocking chair. He puts one either side of him, and rests back in his chair. The arena in darkness with a spotlight on the chair, the urn and the lantern. He picked up a mic he began to quote Napoleon:
“'There is one kind of robber whom the law does not strike at, and who steals what is most precious to men: time.’ It is what has made you weak. The past was an easier time. When men were feared just by their name. This is not your time anymore. This is A NEW ERA. And a new era deserves a new leader. One who is strong enough to make the right call. One who does no petty tricks. Just like in the wild, in order to become the new leader, I must vanquish the old. Even if the old is weak and beaten. I must lay it to rest. I must finish the job and ensure that you…”
Wyatt stands up.
“REST IN PIECE.”
The fans begin to chant “This is awesome,” as Wyatt continues.
“But first, I must seek you out from your resting place. And drive that final stake into your cold dark heart. For it will be the final touch you will feel. Next week... (whispers) I will find you.”
RAW Mar 9th We are shown a graveyard in darkness. The camera pans across this graveyard to Bray Wyatt. He has one arm resting on a gravestone and the other is holding the lantern. The camera moves closer and there are a team of men excavating a grave. As they begin to lift the coffin from the hole, Wyatt speaks:
“I know where you rest. I know who you are. I know that everything you say is a lie. And so let me ask you a question. Who is it who holds the keys to the Kingdom? The Kingdom of life and death, WHERE SOULS GO TO REST? Ha, it’s not you. What will become of you when you are done? When I send you on that road. Where will you go? Have you been a good man? Oh, no. May Lord have mercy on your soul, for you have sinned. You have sinned more than anyone else. And for that I will be your punisher. I will be your executioner. I will decide your fate.”
The men use a crowbar to open the coffin but leave the lid closed.
“You must be dealt with. No longer are you the dragon than needs to be fed. Ha, the Knight has already slain you. You have been bleeding out for too long. I am the dragon lord come to get rid of the pain. I have come for your head. So that I can bask in your glory become you. The new immortal. The life everlasting. The Deadman.”
Wyatt opens the coffin and inside is a sign for WrestleMania. He laughs and the camera pans to the gravestone which reads “Here Lies The Undertaker 1990-2015” and Wyatt’s signature noise screeches the promo to an end.
RAW Mar 16th Bray Wyatt was in action as he faced off against Ryback. The match was pretty even early on with Ryback’s power game proving a problem for “The Pied Piper of Terror”. A superplex from Ryback left both men down. Then Wyatt sat up, a nod to his possible WrestleMania opponent. “The Eater of World’s” then took full control, with his vicious offence. Ryback soon fell to the Sister Abigail. Wyatt took the mic post match:
“This… this is a time for…” Gong
The Undertaker’s music played and “The Deadman” made his way out onto the stage to an epic roar from the crowd. ‘Taker and Wyatt stared each other down before. The Undertaker dressed in his long black coat and black hat pointed at Wyatt and then slid his thumb across his throat. Wyatt just laughed.
RAW Mar 23rd Bray Wyatt was shown backstage in the darkness, rocking in his chair. He stroked his beard and began to speak:
“So… it is accepted. After all this time. I was beginning to think you wouldn’t show up. But when I saw you, when I saw you with my own two eyes it only confirmed what I always thought. You are just a man. A man with tricks and past glories. That is all you are. I laugh in your face. YOU ARE NOTHING! WrestleMania is your event. Or it was. It is no longer. This is your end. You… are a broken old… man. Finally, I have found my meaning. My belonging. It is to end you and become a Deadman. To become a Phenom. To become the next Undertaker. To strike fear in the hearts of millions. To leave destruction in my wake. To lead as an example to all. But to do that I must first finish you off. And at WrestleMania, I will lead you on your funeral march. I will be the one to show you to the gates of hell. I… will end you.” ----
Later on in the show, the gong sounded. Fans thought it was going to be Wyatt playing games but instead the true Undertaker made his way out to rapturous applause. After his music stopped the fans continued the clap and a chant of “We’re not worthy” broke out. ‘Taker took a mic:
“BRAY WYATT! You dare to speak ill of the dead. You dare call me mortal. This has awaken me from my slumber. I do not want revenge. I do not want your mercy. I want your soul.”
Fans continued to roar throughout this promo, they were just happy to see “The Deadman” back after weeks of build-up. ‘Taker continued:
“Boy, you really don’t know what you’ve gotten yourself into. I am like no-one you have faced before. Like no-one you can compare to. You call yourself an ‘Eater of Worlds’, I will show you what that really looks like. Look into my eyes. See what I have seen. And ask yourself, do you really want to do this. Do you want me to be responsible for what I do to you? I have been resting for 12 months, I am not weakened, I am stronger! No one will ever take my name. There will never be another like me. Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania, you will REST IN PIECE.”
But The Undertaker’s music did not play, instead it was the sound of Bray Wyatt as the lights went black. A lantern then appeared up on the stage. ‘Taker looked on. Then Bray Wyatt walked out, he nodded his head and starred right back at “The Deadman”. He pointed at the WrestleMania sign. Then lifted the lantern and blew it out to finish the segment in darkness.
WrestleMania March 29th
The stage was set.
After a night of action, Bray Wyatt was ready to battle to become “The New Phenom” in one of WrestleMania’s main events. First the entrances:
Bray Wyatt was out first. Darkness covered the arena with mystical music playing. A spotlight appeared on the ramp. A rocking chair alone in a room of black. Then four coffins were moved in place in a semi-circle around the chair. Lights out. “Live in Fear” played and out walked “the Eater of World’s in his ‘Mania attire. A long black sleeveless coat, a nod to the “Deadman” perhaps? His usual straw hat replaced with a black styled hat. A dark red sleeveless top with the words “Your Last Breath” written on it with black trousers with a grey misted scull design. Wyatt brought out his lantern and sat in his chair. The first coffin opened, a man dressed in The Undertaker’s debut attire walked out holding a lantern covering his face. The second then opened with a man dressed in Undertaker’s Ministry attire, the third was an American Badass ‘Taker and the fourth, his return to the Deadman attire. All with lanterns covering their faces. Wyatt then motioned and they all returned to their coffins as he walked down the ramp. He entered the ring and lifted the lantern like The Undertaker on one knee, then blew out the lantern.
Next out was the real Undertaker. The gong sounded and clips of previous WrestleMania’s went by ending with Brock’s win last year as the screen went red. Two hearses pulled up either side of the stage, each with wreaths. One simply read “Bray Wyatt” the other “22-1”. An army of souls then appeared in a chain gang. Fire lit up the stage. Then the “Deadman” himself appeared out of the fire. “A DEADMAN REBORN!” Exclaimed Cole as ‘Taker stood at the entrance. He slowly made his way down to the ring and removed his hat on the steps. He entered the ring and the opponents stood across the ring from one another. The bell sounded.
The Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt
The crowd were already chanting “This is Awesome” and the match hadn’t even begun. Wyatt stood with his arms outstretched. He then faced up to ‘Taker and said “Welcome back”. Wyatt then went to strike “The Deadman” but ‘Taker blocked it and fired back sending Wyatt into the ropes. He hit and Irish Whip and then a shoulder block. Wyatt stayed down holding his shoulder, a little shocked at the aggression of The Undertaker. “The Demon of Death Valley” just stood over him. He allowed Wyatt to get up and then they locked up in a collar and elbow tie-up. Wyatt took advantage with a knee to the ribs. He sent ‘Taker into the ropes and bent over but ‘Taker saw this and just kicked Wyatt off his feet. Again, Wyatt stunned by the “Deadman”. Once back on his feet Wyatt tried to sucker his opponent in with a lock up but ‘Taker wasn’t having any of it and just punched Wyatt in the face. Wyatt was sent to the floor for a third time. However, this time ‘Taker followed up, pulling Wyatt to his feet by his hair and placing him in the corner for some stiff MMA style strikes. He then grabbed “The Eater of Worlds” around the neck and threw him across the ring. “Look at the fury of the Deadman!” exclaimed Cole. ‘Taker followed up by lifting Wyatt again in the corner and focusing on the mid-section with knees and shoulder barges. Wyatt was again left floored and when he got to his feet he was clotheslined over the top rope. “This match doesn’t look like it will last long,” said JBL. ‘Taker followed to the outside. And bounced Wyatt off everything; the barricade, the ring apron and even smashing his head against the announce table. The “Deadman” entered back inside to break up the count then returned to the floor to throw Wyatt into the steel steps. “It looks like there’s only one dead man in this match, and it’s Bray Wyatt,” Joked Lawler.
Back in the ring, ‘Taker got a close count. He lifted Wyatt yet again by his hair and hoisted him up for the Snake Eyes. He hit it then went to follow up with the Big Boot but Wyatt ducked, hit the ropes and hit his massive cross body. ‘Taker sold the move well, grabbing his ribs as a replay showed. Wyatt stayed on his knees, not looking too worn out considering what he has already been through, he shouted “You didn’t think I was done, did you? I’m just getting started.” Wyatt then rushed ‘Taker and hammered away at the “Phenom” on his knees. The referee had to pull him away but then Wyatt returned to dish out more punishment. Then, when pulled away again, Wyatt stuck the boots to ‘Taker. The Undertaker pulled himself back to his feet and fired away with some strikes until Wyatt cut him off with a knee to the ribs and a body slam. He then hit the ropes and hit a running senton for a two-count.
The crowd then began to sing, “He’s got the Whole World in his Hands” and Wyatt stopped to conduct them. He returned to ‘Taker with some stomps before lifting him and hitting a sidewalk slam for another close count. “Are we seeing the end of the Undertaker right here tonight Cole?” asked JBL. “He’s already been defeated once John but Wyatt wants to finish off The Undertaker for good tonight,” replied Cole. Wyatt then placed ‘Taker in the corner and after a few elbows he lifted Taker to the top. "The Pied Piper of Terror" went for a superplex but ‘Taker slipped out of it and hit a bit Last Ride from the corner. However, he was too tired to make the cover right away and by the time he did, Wyatt kicked out at one. Both men struggled to their feet and traded blows, ‘Taker getting cheers while Wyatt got a mixture of mainly cheers and a few boo’s. The Undertaker, being the better striker, got the advantage and then followed it up by grabbing Wyatt’s neck, setting up for a chokeslam. Wyatt fought out of it with rib shots and elbows to the head then went on the attack but was caught again by a Chokeslam. Two count only as Wyatt kicked out.
‘Taker brought Wyatt back to his feet and went up top for the Old School but Wyatt tugged at “The Deadman’s” arm and sent him crashing into the referee. “The Eater of Worlds” then pulled ‘Taker in for a clothesline but ‘Taker ducked and flipped Wyatt into a Tombstone Piledriver! But it didn’t matter, there was no referee and Wyatt rolled to the ring apron. ‘Taker followed up and big booted Wyatt off the apron and he took a hard bump to the floor. When he was back on his feet, Wyatt saw ‘Taker running at the opposite ropes and then diving over the ropes at him in an over-the-top-rope suicide dive. The two men stayed down and eventually the referee got back to his feet and started counting. Both men entered just before the count out. Wyatt was first up to his feet and whipped ‘Taker into the ropes but it was reversed and “The New Face of Fear” ate a flying clothesline. ‘Taker had enough and sliced his thumb across his throat. He waited for Wyatt and lifted him in a Tombstone Piledriver. Wyatt managed to turn it around and hit a Sister Abigail! 1…2… kick out!
“How close was that!” shouted Lawler. The WWE Universe thought that might have been it, especially after the finish Taker’s bout last year. Wyatt sat with ‘Taker’s head in his lap. He got to his feet staggered back into the turnbuckle. He regained his bearings and went for the downed ‘Taker but “The Phenom” locked in the Hell’s Gate submission. Wyatt struggled and struggled until he eventually managed to lift The Undertaker while in the hold, just enough to lift him off the ground and swing him into the turnbuckle. “What a match Cole, what a match,” commented JBL. Both men struggled to their feet and teed off again. Strike after strike and both men were really feeling the effects, Wyatt’s knees were going wobbly and the commentators played up 'Taker's concussion from last year. Eventually, one shot sent Wyatt on his back in the corner and ‘Taker waited positioning himself for a Chokeslam. Wyatt pulled himself up by the ropes and then went into his Spider Walk. ‘Taker just looked at “The New Face of Fear” then walked over and booted Wyatt in the face! “That’s one way to deal with him Cole,” Said Lawler. Lifting him one more time The Undertaker hit the Tombstone with the Rest in Piece pin and the tongue sticking out. But the arm came up! Wyatt is still in this!
‘Taker looked shocked then collapsed next to Wyatt. Then in a perfect picture moment, Wyatt sat up just like The Undertaker usually does. Then ‘Taker did. The two stared across from each other before pulling themselves back to their feet one last time. “How are these guys still going?” JBL questioned. ‘Taker went for a whip, Wyatt reversed with a knee, hit the ropes and got caught in a chokeslam. Before ‘Taker could go for a pin. Wyatt got on his knees. “Give up Mark, you know you are just a man.” The commentators fell silent. ‘Taker grabbed him by the throat and chokeslamed him again. Wyatt again, groggily getting to his knees, “It’s okay Mark. Do not fear the Reaper. Your time has come.” Again, ‘Taker grabbed him by the throat but this time Wyatt jumped out of it, hit ‘Taker in the ribs and hit a Sister Abigail. Then a pause.
A kneeling Wyatt leant over ‘Taker, laughing. Just laughing. An end to an Era. But Wyatt wasn’t done, like a sick super villain, he hoisted ‘Taker up in a Tombstone Piledriver and before he hit the final move, the camera zoomed in on his face as he shouted “THE END!” Then the drop, Wyatt copying ‘Taker’s pin and it was all over. Bray Wyatt had defeated The Undertaker.
Silence. No commentary, no music. Just the sight of Wyatt kneeling over The Undertaker. He began to laugh, so much so he couldn’t stand. He eventually did and was handed his lantern. He placed it on the Undertaker’s chest then, swivelled it around to reveal the words “In this lantern it doth contain the soul of The Undertaker.” Wyatt celebrated briefly, resting on the ropes for support. He then picked up the lantern, standing over the Undertaker and blew it out. Black out. ----
That was the last we saw of The Undertaker.
A New Phenom was born.
And his name is Bray Wyatt.

Heavyweight Division - Red Dragon vs. Jonguin
Red Dragon's SubmissionThe Build Up Wrestling was never going to be the same again. The World Wrestling Federation marched towards its first titanic event, entitled “WrestleMania”. But before that, WWF signed a deal with MTV to put on two special shows, “The Brawl to End it All” and “The War to Settle the Score”. Only the main events of those two shows would be broadcast on MTV and because of his ever growing popularity, both matches involved WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan. The Brawl to End it AllHulk Hogan w) Brutus Beefcake def. Paul Orndoff w) Roddy Piper to retain the WWF Championship - After the bout Hogan’s rival, Roddy Piper attacked Hogan. - Between these bouts, it was announced that Piper would challenge for the WWF Championship at Wrestlemania. A tag match pitting the two rivals against each other was set to air on the next MTV show. The War to Settle the ScoreHulk Hogan and Jimmy Snuka w) Brutus Beefcake def Roddy Piper and Paul Orndoff w) Bob Orton - After the bout, Piper swore that he was going into Wrestlemania to win the Championship and destroy Hulkamania. The Event WrestleMania 1The show opened with a $25,000 Battle Royal, as was common of the time. This was a lively opener which the fans enjoyed. The competitors were: Adrian Adonis, Afa, Butcher Vachon, Charlie Fulton, Chief Jay Strongbow, Dick Murdoch, The Executioner, Tony Garea, Rene Goulet, Brett Hart, Jose Luis Rivera, Junkyard Dog, Matt Borne, Sika, Steve Lombardi, Terry Daniels, Rene Goulet, David Sammartino, Sgt. Slaughter and Sika. The 6’3 Junkyard Dog last eliminated Adrian Adonis to win the $25,000. In the second bout of the evening the fans were treated to a technical bout between Tito Santana and Don Muraco. The match went back and forth with the fans on Santana’s side. With the fans behind him, Tito picked up the with a spectacular flying forearm. King Kong Bundy accompanied by Jimmy Hart then made his way out and put on arguably the most impressive performance of the night. He put away Special Delivery Jones in under a minute. In the first title bout of the night WWF Intercontinental Championship Greg Valentine defended his title against Ricky Steamboat. Jimmy Hart was once again at ringside, this time supporting the champion. Steamboat got some near falls and with the fans on his side looked to capture the gold. But Valentine successfully defended the title by submission when he locked in the with the Figure Four Leg Lock. The event was now in full swing with another title bout. The US Express of Mike Rotundo and Barry Windham came to the ring with their WWF Tag Team Championships and manager Lou Albano. They battled Nikolai Volkoff and The Iron Sheik, who had their own manager in the form of Freddie Blassie. This was a true USA versus the foreigners bout with the fans fully behind the home team. The heels cut the ring in half and kept Windham isolated from making the tag out. The hot tag was eventually made to Rotundo. But despite this, The Iron Sheik managed to steal the win with the Camel Clutch. We have new champions. The WWF Women’s Championship got high billing and that is because of the celebrity involvement of Cyndi Lauper. The pop star was in the corner of the challenger Wendi Richter while champion Leilani Kai, had The Fabulous Moolah. With Lauper in her corner, Richter managed to capture the title with the Flying Crossbody. A big tag team match followed, pitting the friends of out main eventers against one other. Piper’s men, Paul Orndoff and Bob Orton took on Hogan’s friends Jimmy Snuka and Brutus Beefcake. The heels managed to get good heat from the crowd and beat down Snuka until he made the hot tag out to Beefcake. ‘Mr Wonderful’ and the ‘Cowboy’ worked over Beefcake, who soon began to Hulk-up. This inspired Snuka to fight back and he did, with the Superfly Splash on Orton for the win. In a clash in titans, Andre the Giant faced Big John Studd with the stipulation placed by Bobby Heenan that if “The Eight Wonder of the World” lost, he would have to retire. Heenan was at ringside cheering on Studd, who stunned the crowd keeping the offence on Andre. Andre battled back with a headbutt and soon hit an iconic body slam on Studd to win the bout and cancel his retirement. The Main Event Sound bites:Piper:“Hulkamania is a scam.” “It's all about all about the U S of A, well tonight, in front of all these fans, I'm going to give him a U S of A-whopping.“ “You see, Hogan was born in the Land of Opportunity, in sunny California. I was born with the rain pouring down upon me.” “I look out into the arena and all I see is daddy Hogan’s, mommy Hogan’s and little kiddy baby Hogan’s and it makes me sick.” “Tonight, I take the WWF Championship and kill, once and for all, Hulkamania” Hogan:“Ya know Mean Gene, tonight is a very special night. It’s a special night for you, a special night for me and a special night for all the Hulkamaniacs watching around the world.“ "In Madison Square Garden, in front of all the fans, I will silence Piper.” “You don’t understand Piper, that when you take on Hulkamania, you’re not just dealing with me, you’re not just dealing with the 24 inch pythons brother. You’re going to have to take on all the Hulkamaniacs watching around the world. So I ask you, whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you!” The Main EventIn the main event of the evening, Hulk Hogan took on Roddy Piper with the WWF Championship on the line. Hogan got an ear-shattering cheer as he emerged from the back. While Piper did brilliantly to draw heat. Hogan came out at the bell swinging but Piper managed to turn the tides with an eye poke behind the referee’s back. Piper then beat down Hogan, drawing more heat. A DDT scored a near fall. Then Hulk began to “Hulk Up” but Piper shut him down before he could gain momentum. Which caused the commentators to question whether Piper has truly killed “Hulkamania”. But Hogan soon began to “Hulk Up” yet again. Piper escaped to the outside but Hogan followed and threw him back in. Hogan hit a big gorilla press slam and Piper cowered on the canvas. Piper pleaded to Hogan not to hurt him anymore and the Hulkster didn’t know what to do. His hesitation cost him as Piper hit a low blow, thanks to referee distraction from Bob Orton on the outside. Piper tried for a pin but Hogan kicked out. Piper worked over Hulk and went for a Lariat only to fall to a Big Boot. Hogan called for the crowds support before hitting a massive running Leg Drop to put Piper away for the 3 count and to retain his belt.

Heavyweight Division - HEELRyan vs. The Kevstaaa
HEELRyan's SubmissionThe Main Event of WrestleMania 2000: Re-imagined
- "GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY! FOR GOD'S SAKES! THAT CAR JUST RAN OVER AUSTIN! THAT CAR JUST RAN OVER AUSTIN! STONE COLD JUST GOT RUN DOWN!" shouted Jim Ross on commentary the second that 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot area of the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. Austin lied motionless on the ground while the likes of Mr. McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Test and Shane McMahon watched with great concern as the 'Texas Rattlesnake' was being cared for by the medical staff. Things nearly got out of hand as D-Generation X approached the scene, Vince immediately placing the blame for what happened on them. The World Wrestling Federation Champion, Triple H, responded by saying that they had nothing to do with what happened to Austin, but nobody was buying their side of the story. Beside, no one had more to gain from Austin's fate than 'The Game' as he was set to defend the WWF Championship in a Triple Threat match against both Austin and The Rock later that night. However, the match would remain a Triple Threat match as the Big Show would take the vacant spot left by Austin. By the end of the night, it was no longer Helmsley who held the most coveted prize in the World Wrestling Federation. After a shot from the title belt to the head of 'The Game,' Show was able to capitalize and become the brand new World Wrestling Federation Champion. Out for revenge against McMahon, Helmsley went as far as to marry the boss' daughter, Stephanie McMahon, at a drive-thru chapel after drugging her. Triple H and Mr. McMahon did battle in a helacious No Holds Barred match at Armageddon in December, featuring a shocking turn of events as Stephanie embraced her marriage with Helmsley, aligning herself with her father's adversary right in front of him. The result was what fans came to know as the McMahon-Helmsley Regime. On the first edition of RAW is WAR in 2000, Triple H captured the World Wrestling Federation Championship for the third time in his career. It was that reign that solidified Helmsley in the eyes of many as a legitimate staple in the main event scene, defeating Cactus Jack in a Street Fight and Hell in a Cell match at Royal Rumble and No Way Out respectively. The second bout resulted in Cactus' career coming to an end, unable to become WWF Champion and secure his spot in the main event of WrestleMania 2000.
- On the night that Triple H defeated Cactus Jack in Madison Square Garden at the Royal Rumble, the 'Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment' punched his ticket to WrestleMania 2000 as The Rock managed to overcome twenty-nine other superstars to win the Royal Rumble match. It did not come without controversy, however, as the runner-up in the match, Big Show, argued that Rock's feet touched the floor first. Show was able to convince the reigning World Wrestling Federation Champion, Triple H, to grant him a one-on-one match against The Rock at No Way Out for the right to headline WrestleMania. Unfortunately for Show, he was still unable to secure a title opportunity as Rock managed to get the victory.
- The match was now set. On April 2nd, 2000, in Anaheim, California, Triple H would defend the World Wrestling Federation Championship against The Rock with a No Disqualifications stipulation being added later on by Helmsley. With the stipulation in place, it was clear that the 'Great One' would be at a disadvantage. In the corner of Helmsley would be not only Stephanie McMahon and D-Generation X, but another unit as well. The Radicalz, who were granted contracts by 'The Game' after the four of them assaulted Cactus Jack. Big Show and Shane McMahon would later side by Triple H as the defending WWE Champion promised Show a title opportunity after WrestleMania if he was still holding the gold. The deck was seemingly stacked against The Rock, but not until he revealed his own army to counter that of Helmsley. With him in the main event of WrestleMania 2000 would be Too Cool, Kane, Chyna and Mick Foley, the latter stating that even though he was retired, he wanted nothing more than to be there in person when Triple H got what was coming to him. The Rock, however, had one more trick up his sleeve. He dropped a bombshell on the world when he announced that 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin gave him his word that he would be in Arrowhead Pond at WrestleMania! Austin was not yet cleared to return to the ring, but the 'Texas Rattlesnake' was still physically capable of opening a can of whoop ass on somebody at WrestleMania and that's all that mattered, especially if Helmsley was indeed the one who ran him down at Survivor Series! Who would leave WrestleMania 2000 as the World Wrestling Federation Champion?
1) Big Bossman and Bull Buchanan def. The Godfather and D'Lo Brown 2) Hardcore Holly won a Hardcore Battle Royal to become the Hardcore Champion 3) T&A def. Head Cheese 4) Edge and Christian def. The Dudley Boyz and The Hardy Boyz in a Triangle Ladder Match to become the WWF Tag Team Champions - In a backstage segment, a vehicle was shown pulling up into the parking lot area as Jim Ross noticed. "Are you kidding me?! That's.....that's the car than ran over Austin!" said J.R. as a man with a mask covering his face exited the vehicle. "Is Austin's assailant here?!? Is Austin here, too?!?" asked Jerry 'The King' Lawler, referring to the fact that no one had yet seen 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin in the arena. 5) Terri Runnels def. The Kat in a Catfight with Val Venis as the special guest referee 6) Kane and Too Cool def. The Radicalz in an Eight Man Tag Team Match 7) Chris Jericho def. Kurt Angle to become the Intercontinental and European Champion
- The time had now arrived for the World Wrestling Federation Championship to be decided in the main event of WrestleMania 2000. After a video package was shown featuring "Guerrilla Radio" by Rage Against the Machine to recap the storyline heading into this huge match up, the entrance music of The Rock hit as the Arrowhead Pond erupted for the winner of the Royal Rumble. Rock made his way down to the ring as Too Cool, Kane and Mick Foley all followed him. "They're all here with The Rock, but where is 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin at? Is Austin really that intimidated by the McMahon-Helmsley Regime?" asked Jerry Lawler. "Anyone would tell you the same thing if you actually asked them, King. If Austin said to The Rock that he would be here, then he will. I'd bet my house on it," said J.R., defending his close friend in Austin. "That's not saying much. I've made bets in Vegas that are worth more than your house!" joked Lawler in response. It was all business in the ring, though, as The Rock paced back and forth, waiting for the arrival of the defending champion. "My Time" then hit as Triple H made his way down to the ring, being followed by Stephanie McMahon, Shane McMahon, Big Show, D-Generation X and The Radicalz. "Nine people in the corner of Helmsley. Six in The Rock's corner. Seven when Austin arrives," said Jim Ross, Lawler reiterating that he doesn't believe Austin will show his face here at WrestleMania. Helmsley and Rock came face-to-face in the center of the ring as the official, Earl Hebner, raised the World Wrestling Federation Championship. "This is going to get real ugly, real quickly," were the final the words by J.R. before the bell was sounded.
8) NO DISQUALIFICATIONS MATCH FOR THE WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION CHAMPIONSHIP - TRIPLE H W/ STEPHANIE MCMAHON, SHANE MCMAHON, BIG SHOW, D-GENERATION X AND THE RADICALZ VS. THE ROCK W/ MICK FOLEY, KANE AND TOO COOL: Immediately, Triple H went for a strike, but The Rock was able to block it as he delivered a hard right hand to the face of Helmsley! The defending champion tried to cover up, but Rock continued to deliver shots as Helmsley was backed into a corner. Helmsley fell onto the canvas Rock stomped away on him, only for Big Show to grab the foot of 'The Game' and pull him out of the ring. As Rock talked a bit of trash to Show, Too Cool, Kane and Mick Foley turned the corner at ringside and confronted Triple H's army. Rock went out to ringside and grabbed Helmsley, throwing him back into the ring and flashing Big Show the middle finger before resuming his beat down on Triple H. Rock went for the cover, but Helmsley managed to kick out quickly. Rock brought Triple H up to his feet, throwing him into the ropes. Helmsley managed to counter a back body drop attempt, bringing Rock's face down onto his knee. Helmsley then attempted to deliver an early Pedigree, but Rock fought of it and was looking for a Rock Bottom! Helmsley, however, was able to free himself after catching Rock with a few elbows to the side of the head. 'The Game' brought Rock down with a few Clotheslines before holding onto the top rope and pressing his foot into The Rock's collarbone/neck area. Referee Earl Hebner could not do anything due to the No Disqualifications stipulation, Triple H openly mocking him. Helmsley brought Rock back up to his feet and placed him against the corner, hitting a Knife Edge Chop. Helmsley went for a second one, but Rock was able to turn the tables and get him into the corner, the 'Great One' striking with his own chop. Helmsley held his chest as he backed against the ropes, Rock Clotheslining him over. Rock went out to ringside, taking Helmsley and bouncing his head off of the surface of the announce table. Both Rock and Helmsley's armies watched from opposite sides of the ring, both units knowing that if either tried to get involved, all hell would break loose. The words, "Try something!" could be heard from Chris Benoit, directed at Mick Foley and company. Rock went for a DDT onto the floor, but Helmsley managed to ram his lower-back into the ring apron. Triple H struck away with a few strikes to The Rock's forehead before throwing him over the announce table. Helmsley then looked over at the men in The Rock's corner, smirking at all of them and giving the signature D-X crotch chop. Helmsley then picked up a steel chair, waiting for The Rock to get to his feet. When Rock did so, Helmsley caught him with a chair shot to the skull! "The sickening thud of the steel hitting The Rock right between the eyes!" said Jim Ross as Rock lied on the ground, blood being seen above his eyebrow. Helmsley then took apart the announce table before grabbing Rock and bringing him on top of it. Triple H placed Rock in position for a Pedigree, but Rock managed to drop to his knees and deliver a low blow to the World Wrestling Federation Champion! Rock stood to his feet and got a hold of Helmsley, planting him with a Rock Bottom through the announce table! Both men were motionless on top of the shattered table remains as the audience went wild for the spot. The armies for both Helmsley and Rock continued to stare at each other, waiting for the other to make a move first and allow an all-out brawl to ensue. Rock managed to get to his feet first and tossed Helmsley back into the ring, covering him for the count of two. Rock would then head back to ringside quickly and grab the steel chair that Helmsley had used against him just moments. Rock waited for Helmsley to get to his feet, striking him in the head with the chair upon doing so! Instead of going for the cover, Rock picked Triple H up off of the canvas and placed him in position for the Rock Bottom, looking to hit it onto the chair. Helmsley, however, was able to slide out of Rock's grasp, taking him down with a Spinebuster of his own onto the chair! "Shades of 'Double A' Arn Anderson with that Spinebuster from 'The Game!'" said Jim Ross as Helmsley got the cover, but not the victory as Rock managed to get a shoulder up in time. Triple H then took the chair after Rock rolled off of it, waiting for his adversary to get back onto his feet. Helmsley held the chair over his head and was looking to deliver a heavy shot, but Rock was able to catch 'The Game' by surprise and deliver Rock Bottom! Rock quickly rose to his feet and stood over Helmsley, kicking his arms to his side! The Arrowhead Pond was ready to explode as Rock threw one elbow pad into the crowd, looking for the 'most electrifying move in all of sports entertainment,' The People's Elbow! That was not to be, however, as Shane McMahon grabbed Rock's foot from underneath the bottom rope. Rock fell onto the canvas as Shane backed away, but Mick Foley, Kane and Too Cool decided that that was enough to start the war that we all knew was coming! The six men from The Rock's corner approached the eight from Helmsley's corner, Shane trying to talk his way out of it. Foley, however, was not going to listen to whatever Shane had to say, delivering a strike to him! Big Show grabbed Foley by his throat, but Kane stepped into and grabbed Show's throat! All hell then broke loose as Too Cool, The Radicalz and D-Generation X got involved! Both sides battled it out, bodies being thrown everywhere. From Rikishi ramming his rear-end into Dean Malenko and the barricade, to Benoit laying out Scotty 2 Hotty with a German Suplex onto the floor, it was anarchy at WrestleMania! Eddie Guerrero, who was in an arm sling, began to strike Kane from behind with his good arm, only for the 'Big Red Machine' to turn around a stare a hole through him. Guerrero was not looking to re-injure himself, backing away up the entrance ramp. In the ring, Stephanie McMahon was shown holding the steel chair in her hands, waiting for Rock to get to his feet. Stephanie delivered a shot to Rock's back, but the 'Great One' was barely phased by it. Rock turned around with his eyes widened as Stephanie realized that she had made a huge mistake. When she tried to leave, Rock got a hold of her hair! Before Rock could deliver any punishment to Stephanie, Helmsley struck him behind his knee. Rock fell onto the canvas as Stephanie exited the ring, Helmsley doing so as well. However, that was only so the defending WWF Champion could look underneath the ring and bring out a sledgehammer! Lawler mentioned that Helmsley had brutally attacked Rock with the sledgehammer to year prior when the 'Great One' was in a casket. Hunter held the hammer in his hands as he stared down at The Rock. When Triple H brought the hammer above his head, the sound of glass shattering could be heard, followed the loudest ovation of the night. "Is he....he is! STONE COLD IS HERE! STONE COLD!" shouted Jim Ross on commentary as 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin made his way through the curtain, having not been seen since he was run down back at Survivor Series! Eddie Guerrero, who had backed up the entrance ramp after an encounter with Kane, was taken down with a Clothesline from the 'Texas Rattlesnake'! Austin took Road Dogg, X-Pac, Saturn and Benoit out with strikes and Clotheslines before heading into the ring. Helmsley swung the sledgehammer at Austin, but he was taken down to the canvas! "Austin's got 'The Game!' 'Stone Cold Steve Austin' is opening a can of whoop ass on the World Wrestling Federation Champion!" yelled out J.R.. Shane McMahon then tried to intervene, but Austin quickly got to his feet and took him out with a Stunner! Big Show then tried his luck against Austin, grabbing him by the throat and looking for a Chokeslam. Austin, however, kicked Show below the belt before taking the sledgehammer and delivering a shot to the side of his head! Show bounced off of the ropes as Austin delivered a huge Stunner! Austin flipped Show off for a bit as the masked man who we saw earlier in the night entered the ring from the audience. He picked the steel chair up from the canvas, striking Austin in the back with it! Austin fell onto the mat as the unknown assailant struck Austin in the back of the neck with the top of the chair. "What the hell is wrong with you?!? The man just had neck surgery, for God's sake!" shouted the irate J.R. on commentary. Rock was back on his feet and got a hold of the masked man, trying to rip the disguise off. Triple H, however, intervened by delivering a sledgehammer shot to the back of The Rock's skull! Rock instantly fell onto the canvas as Helmsley and the masked man stared at each other for a bit, the World Wrestling Federation Champion smiling and laughing. Helmsley picked The Rock up and planted him with a Pedigree, rolling him over and getting the cover for the victory. TRIPLE H RETAINS THE WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION CHAMPIONSHIP!
A massive amount of boos emerged from the audience in the Arrowhead Pond, some attendees even throwing garbage into the ring at the sight of Triple H being handed back the World Wrestling Federation Championship. "I don't believe this. This was highway robbery, dammit! All orchestrated by Helmsley and that sick son of a bitch who we can only assume was the man that ran down Steve Austin!" yelled out Jim Ross. As Triple H and Stephanie McMahon looked down at the motionless bodies of The Rock and 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, as well as everyone else at ringside, the two then turned their heads towards the masked man. He placed his hand on his mask, slowly sliding it off to reveal himself as Shawn Michaels! "What the hell?!? Shawn Michaels?!? Our own Commissioner?!?! He struck Austin with a car?!?!" were the questions raised by J.R.. Two years after wrestling his last match against Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels found a way to get revenge against the 'Texas Rattlesnake.' Not only at Survivor Series, but here tonight as well. And in doing so, Michaels assured that his best friend, Triple H, retained the World Wrestling Federation Championship at WrestleMania 2000!
The Kevstaaa's SubmissionWe pick things up WWF No Way Out 2000. The Rock is fresh off of winning the Royal Rumble, but the Big Show claims that he is the true winner. Triple H needed some proof of this and once he got the footage, decided that Big Show needed to face the Rock at No Way Out to determine the true number one contender for his title at WrestleMania 2000. Triple H first had to get through Cactus Jack in Hell in the Cell. After a grueling war, Triple H retired one of his greatest foes and looked towards WrestleMania. Earlier in the night though, the Rock and Big Show did indeed meet. The crowd was totally behind the People’s Champion and he seemed to be on the verge of victory until the appearance of Shane McMahon. He sided with Big Show, who was able to score one of the biggest wins of his career.
The following night on Raw, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley came out to celebrate Mick Foley’s retirement. This was obviously not met with great fanfare. Shane McMahon and the Big Show came out to interrupt, only for the crowd to boo both men. If this was going to be the WrestleMania main event, the crowd was not going to be pleased. Things would change when Mr. McMahon cut them off in a surprise appearance. He stated that he was tired of sitting at home and nobody, not even his own tramp daughter could drive him away from what he built. He mentions that he thought the finish to the Big Show/Rock match the previous night was screwy so he books a rematch for tonight inside of a Steel Cage! Big Show and Triple H are both irate. As the match goes down in the main event, Shane McMahon tries to get involved but is taken out by Vince, allowing Rock to score the win and secure his spot in the WrestleMania main event.
Over the next few weeks, Mr. McMahon battled Triple H and Stephanie over multiple things. If Triple H decided Rock should face the New Age Outlaws in a handicap match, then Vince would book Triple H to face the Hardy Boyz in one. It got to a point where Vince McMahon even made his own daughter step into the ring against Lita. This would be the final straw for The Game as he challenged Mr. McMahon to a match. Vince countered that with a tag match pitting him and the Rock against HHH and Shane. This would main event a big episode of Smackdown, which wrapped when Rock pinned Shane. With two weeks remaining before WrestleMania, Triple H announced that the Big Show would be in his corner for the big night because they’ve bonded over common enemies in Vince and the Rock. This led to Vince McMahon informs everyone that the Rock would have someone in his corner as well. Someone we hadn’t seen since November. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin! The crowd went absolutely insane at the news and it added an extra spark to an already red hot fire. On the final Raw before WrestleMania, both Triple H and Big Show laid out Rocky with a steel chair, Chokeslams and Pedigrees. Things did not look good for the People’s Champion going into the biggest match of his career.
WRESTLEMANIA 2000; WWF CHAMPIONSHIP: TRIPLE H (C) W/ STEPHANIE MCMAHON-HELMSLEY & BIG SHOW VS. THE ROCK The atmosphere in the Arrowhead Pond was electric. The Rock came out to a huge pop but there was no Stone Cold Steve Austin to be found. Throughout the night, Triple H kept discussing how Austin hadn’t arrived and they came to the conclusion that he wasn’t going to show tonight. Triple H and the Rock started things off with some callbacks to their long history together, including Rock getting a close near fall on an inside cradle. For those unaware, that’s how Rock took the Intercontinental Title from him three years ago. This turned out to be a bit of a brawl as the action spilled outside and even into the crowd. Senior referee Earl Hebner had no plans on calling it for a countout though, due to the importance of the bout. He did get knocked down at one point, which lead to shenanigans. Shane McMahon runs out to the ring with a steel chair but is met with a Rock Bottom. This brings the Big Show into the ring and he begins to hammer away on Rock with vicious strikes. Vince McMahon comes down to a big pop and he gets in the ring and bosses Show around. Show doesn’t listen and lifts him for a Chokeslam but the sound of glass breaking causes the arena to explode. Steve Austin walks to the ring with a steel chair as Show lets go of Vince. He swings at Austin, who ducks and takes him out with a steel chair. Shane gets to his feet and he is taken out with the chair as well. Stephanie McMahon enters and gets right in Austin’s face. The place erupts again as Austin delivers the Stunner to her! He exits the ring and heads back up the ramp to a massive pop. Both Triple H and Rock slowly get to their feet, but when they do, Rock finally hits the Rock Bottom. He follows with the People’s Elbow and is able to capture the gold! WINNER AND NEW WWF CHAMPION: THE ROCK
