This exact same thing was posted something like a month ago, maybe even to the day, I don't remember.
Here's the thing. If you put X-Pac on hold (which is what your pre-order is doing) and then someone else wants him, RSC is going to send him off to the person who is paying and gets him out of their warehouse right then and there-- and rightfully so. This is only because if you for some reason happened to cancel your order but RSC had X-Pac marked as sold out then they'd be losing out on sales should you or any other customer back out of their initial order. It's Business 101 really.
