I'm really getting sick of these "budget" comments. No one knows how production works. I work in bottle production and in the shipping department, we have a budget. If we don't use all of out budget, that doesn't mean other departments can take our leftovers and use it. Same with Mattel. The Elite budget cannot take money from other lines to be used on more figures, accessories, attires etc. Corporate okay's budget and if they make the decision to create a new line, Mattel can't cheap out on one line to use the extra money on another.

This!! Lets break this down further. Adding 1 figure to a 6 figure line would actually bring in more costs than one would think. Shipping cases are already ordered to house a case break down for a series of 6. This is usually 8 for a store case and 6 for someone buying one set. Changing the series to 7 figures would then require new box dimensions for not only casr shippments but set shipments. This also effects the marketing by adding ine more figure to the box art. Which would effect packaging design. This is also one more figure to add to a display at conventions. One more figure that would need tooling. Tooling takes time. Adding a series of 7 could potentially slowe down the entire process of getting each line finished for shipment each quarter. Thus bringing us down 1 or 2 series annually. So, adding 1 more figure, really isn't cost efficient. Well then take the money for more/better details or accessories ! For example they could have given Elite 26 Ultimate Warrior his Entrance Coat ! Again, it doesn't work like that. Here's an example. You have $20k for Elite 26. Lets say $1,000 goes to each mold. Thats $6k. Them another $6k goes to paint apps. Now you are at $12k. Packaging goes to $16k. You have $4,000 left. You can't have Henry's shirt plastic, because the fabric at that size is actually cheaper than plastic, so you make that choice. Bam. Thats your $20,000 limit. Now if Basic 30 has $5,000 budget left. They mark it ad a profit. You can't borrow budget from othet lines or series. Bill has stated that its very are to get budget increase approvals. So, take what you can for what you pay for. Beleive it or not, there are people who get paid top dollar that work for Mattel that tell them what the masses want and will purchase. I think other things outweighed Warriors coat. Which would havr been a DM budget cost. Paint apps on top of cloth? It would never have happened. Mattel wouldn't release a un painted coat because they know we would bitch.

That's curious, WCT are saying on FB that the Cages will be released on their own. I thought they said they couldn't do that? They did. Jeremy said as much on the Figure Mark podcast. Hopefully that's a change because I don't really want to buy another ASR. I hope so too. I'll be damned if I have room for another ASR.

For example they could have given Elite 26 Ultimate Warrior his Entrance Coat ! Even worse. I'm not sure how old you are, but if an elite figure costs $17.99 and a Flexforce costs $10.99, that's a $28.98 total. If Mattel takes the budget for the $10.99 figure and adds it to the $17.99 figure, the $17.99 figure has to become a $28.98 figure to return the investment. In short, they can't add money to the development/production of elite figures without significantly raising the price of elite figures.

As a customizer, I'm really excited about those customizable figures. Looks like a lot of good parts for use. I wish they had stuff like that when I was a kid.

Why not give us car keys for a 2015 Cadillac with each Elite figure? If it wasn't for those damn Flex Force I'm sure they could afford it.

Take those kids lines out and we could invest in military intelligence chips ala Small Soldiers and have figures that wrestle each other.

Funny how many economists are members of this board during Toy Fair, RS Fest, SDCC, etc.

The CAW things look pretty dumb, but dammit, nobody knows how badly I've wanted Bray's apron to be made into figure form.

Rather than wasting their budget on what? Instead of that they could give us 1 More Elite Fig in each Elite Line Up ? You should run Mattel. You've got it all figured out.
