EDIT: Seems like all 4 Ghostbusters are gone now. So get your Slimer and Stay Puft now if you're thinking about it.

Looks like Peter and Egon are gone. Ray & Winston are also sold out. Hope that everyone here got what they needed!

I want everyone to get what they want and I want these to do really well. I'm guessing we'll get more of these and I want them to rerelease some of the ghosts. I think people would go nuts over a rerelease of the Ecto-1, too.

It seems like my stress of getting these was unnecessary as they all still appear to be available. I felt like the hype was real from what I was seeing on Twitter and IG. Nice to think that Hasbro/Kenner ended up making plenty so all collectors were able to get them. Not that I don't hope you're right, but to look at the other side of the coin, this could be Walmart just accepting a ton of orders and we could all wind up getting cancellation notices once they realize they hugged up. That being said, as hot as these are, retro is still a niche market. I'm much more concerned about the NECA TMNT stuff that Walmart is supposed to get being terrible to procure. The possibility of that didn’t even cross my mind. Fingers crossed that isn’t the case.

That being said, as hot as these are, retro is still a niche market. I'm much more concerned about the NECA TMNT stuff that Walmart is supposed to get being terrible to procure. Randy was interesting in how he talked about the Walmart thing with Pixel Dan. He was very "embrace the hunt" about the Turtles stuff in general. I'm guessing Casey and Raph are going to be extremely hard to find and Walmart will be flooded with the 4 movie Turtles, so similar to what has happened with Rocksteady and Bebop at Target. Rahzar and Tokka should benefit from coming later on this year, which I guess is a silver lining. I'm not too worried about Super Shredder (or Krang at Target) because those will ship on their own since they're bigger. I think your point is spot-on, is the point I'm trying to make. I think those Turtles will be a bigger nightmare than the Ghostbusters stuff by a mile. I expect to see Ghostbusters get really good retail support this year. With the movie coming out, and the buzz being huge and positive this time around, Ghostbusters seems like it's going to get red carpet treatment for most of the year. Hasbro obviously has more retail power than a company like NECA, but with Ghostbusters, Hasbro has what retail loves right now. Which is external marketing support for a product. Look at the space both Target and Walmart dedicated to Toy Story last year. Afterlife, the trailers, the ads, all of that is just free promotion for when you go to Walmart/Target and see Twinkies, clothes, toys, etc. with Ghostbusters on it.

I was curious how the pre-orders on the Kenners went. I messaged a couple buddies of mine who I knew wanted these when I saw the post in here yesterday, about half hour after it was up. I think they both got in. I hemmed and hawed and finally decided to put a pre-order in on the full set last evening. When I hit submit initially, it gave me an out of stock alert but brought me back to the cart. I pushed through again and it worked that time, no problem. So curious what happens.
In contrast, I started looking through WWE stuff after submitting that order and saw it said 1 Ghosbusters Undertaker was in stock. I had him in my cart, tried to find something else to get. Within a couple minutes of trying to submit there, he was out of stock and did not let me go back in like the Ghostbusters did.
My friends and I were debating via text this morning the availability of these down the road as I am not optimistic about finding these in person or catching a restock.

Seeing the new GB figures at toyfair reminds me how much I would love to get an upgraded, high-end Firehouse playset. As in made for collectors, not a cheap kiddy one. Kinda like what Mattel did with the MOTUC Castle Grayskull - an upgraded, high-end version of the old toy, aimed at collectors.
The old Real GB Firehouse by Kenner was one of my most favorite toys when I was a kid.

I wish they made as many toys for the 2016 version as they do the original. Would love some more detailed version of the 2016 ones as well as Rowan, Kevin, Jennifer, and Mayor Bradley.

I feel like the more realistic possibility is a similar firehouse to what we had in the past designed in a manner to go with the new “Freight Features” line.

I’d be all in on something like that. I think we’ll definitely get a new fire house for the kids 5” line. I can’t imagine I won’t pick that one up. I also think it’s possible, if not likely, Hasbro just rereleases the original mold since they’re doing the retros.

Anyone here know the Walmart SKU for Hasbro Ghostbusters Kenner style? I need to start looking them up to help my cousin find them. Any help is appreciated.

The 2016 Version was horrible. The only thing I have from that is the Hot Wheels Ecto-1 from the reboot plus the motorcycle.

I picked up a set of the 4 Kenner Classics Ghostbusters figures at Walmart today. It was 8 in a case, 2 each of Winston, Ray, Egon, and Peter. I saw the box, and it had a 4/26 date on it, so these were put out early.

Those props were awesome. I didn't buy because I don't have the space but I wish I had. I was so stoked when I found MattyCollector was doing movie figures. I never like 1/6 scale figures because the early ones, I felt, looked like dolls. They were very hit and miss with the figures though. Like Ray had one figure with a great sculpt and the other was trash. I bought the GB2 TRU exclusive set with gray suits and 2 of them had broken wands. The other two had one long leg syndrome. So disappointing.
I hope these new figures are great but I'm kind of playing with the idea of getting the mezco figures and seeing if I can customize them to take these newer heads or some of the good matty heads. I hate the sculpts on the one:12 figures.
