Very cool, wasn't Mattel going to show some Real Ghostbusters figures? Yea they teased us with a real ghostbusters banner last year and we never heard anything from them. My theory is that they soon then got the Thundercats license and decided to down the classics route with Thundercats and put the real ghostbusters on the back burner. Who knows? As for Diamond Select Ghostbusters...na Im not too keen on them with that split torso, bad look in my opinion. I much prefer the Mattel Ghostbusters.

I'll tentatively say I'll buy Peter, but I need to see them in person. I said I wanted the Sin City figures, tentatively, and then they looked like absolute sh*t when I saw them in person. I'm not blown away by anything, and I never had too much issue with my Mattel figures. The Slimer honestly seems like the guarantee buy for me. We'll see, Ghostbusters merch and impulse buying run hand-in-hand for me.

Mattel are not as exited about Ghostbuster as they once were. One of the MDT mentioned that it is due to the lack of character depth outside the main 4 leads. Also having Thundercats Classics launch next year has something to do with it, look to be an epic line too cant wait for it.

They are only releasing one Terror Dog, but it'll have both sets of male and female horns. So you just need to buy the same one twice and swap out the horns.
Thought that was a cool way of doing it.

I got that Spengler too. Haven't opened it yet. The in memory of Harold Ramis on the white box is a nice touch.

For some weird reason I just got really excited for this line again. I was looking at the pictures again and I got pretty pumped up for them. In my other post I stated its weird we still haven't seen Egon yet. Hopefully his untimely death didn't cause a delay/cancellation of it.

I hope they do a run of all 4 of them similar to that Ray. We have never got Ghostbuster figures like that and I feel it looks really good.

Anyone else pick up the Ultimate Visual History book? Just got mine from Amazon yesterday and it's pretty bad @ss if you're a Ghostbuster fan.

They look good but as much as I love the movies, I wish a new company getting the license would produce a Real Ghostbusters line. I think enough emphasis for now has been put into the original films.... Let's see The Sandman Grendel, Boogeyman, Sam Hein, animated Slimer, those cool green glowing ghost versions of the Ghostbusters from the Slimer flashback episode.....I wasn't fully satisfied just getting those bigger Mego style figures from Mattel.

I know this is a Diamond Select thread but its the only Ghostbusters one so figured I'd share this bit of news I came across:
Sony has revealed several new products and lines that we can expect over the next year, both for the new film as well showing love to the original.
“We’re going after collectors with blind bag figures at a very reasonable price point. In each figure pack there’s a piece of a particular character, so if a consumer buys all four, they can assemble a separate ghost.” said Mark Caplan, Sony Pictures’ new senior vice president of global consumer products.
“Mattel is also doing a board game and six-inch figures of both the classic Ghostbusters and the brand new movie. The firm is developing a new Eco-1 and the collectable characters can fit into the car. Mattel is also creating the Proton Pack. What kid would not want to throw that on?”
“Alongside Mattel, we have LEGO on board, Funko doing Pop! Vinyl and Rubie’s is making costumes. It’s expansive. We have something for everyone, whether you’re a collector or an everyday toy buyer.” Be sure to check back soon as more info becomes available!
