Runner-ups for worst match:
Taker vs Gonzalez
Cole vs Lawler
Miz in the main event (I actually like Miz but he has no place in the main event of the biggest show of the year)
Sheamus beats Daniel Bryan in 18 seconds
But my choice for worst match ever is far and away Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon. Bret is one of my all time favorites but he could not do it in the ring anymore by the time this match happened and Vince was never a great in ring talent to begin with. All I remember of the match is a long series of unnecessary and quite frankly painful to watch chair shots.

Lawrence Taylor main eventing Wrestlemania 11.

I'd put Snooki here, but she actually wasn't awful.

HHH vs Jericho-dreadful due to the build
HHH vs Orton-dreadful due to both men phoning it to F*ck in.
Austin's heel turn at WM17
Cena vs Miz.......awful awful stuff here.
HHH & Cenas entrances combined being nearly the same length as Angle vs Orton vs Rey.
those are the ones that spring to mind at the moment.

MATCHES:
5) Bret Hitman Hart vs Vince McMahon - WrestleMania XXVI : just a terrible match, got to the point where it was uncomfortable to watch.
4) Earthquake vs Adam Bomb - WrestleMania X : super-short, pointless, and basically served to further a Howard Finkle vs Harvey Whipleman feud.
3) The Kat vs Terri Runnels - WrestleMania 2000 : useless. you know it's bad when the possibility of some T & A isn't enough to get fans to care.
2) Big Show vs Akebono - WrestleMania 21 : another useless "match" that only served to downgrade Show's stock even more.
1) Undertaker vs Giant Gonzalez - WrestleMania IX : so bad it's become legendary! just utter crap, as poor Taker had to try and wrestle someone who simply couldn't work. love the chokeslam on Bill Alfonso though!
MOMENTS:
5) WWE Champion The Miz is "lost" in the Cena - Rock Feud - WrestleMania XXVII : way to degrade your top Title Vince!
4) Lawrence Taylor pins Bam Bam Bigelow - WrestleMania XI : I understand why they did it, but to have one of your top stars and a veteran lose to a football player was a slap in the face.
3)Santina wins Miss WrestleMania Battle Royal - WrestleMania 25 - way to devalue your Divas division even more Vince!
2) Sheamus beats Daniel Bryan in 18 seconds - WrestleMania XVIII - both guys deserved better.
1 ) Hulk hogan wins World title in 30 seconds - WrestleMania IX : a total sh*t on Bret, Yoko, and the idea of moving towards the future of the WWF.

In no particular order....
-- Every part of the Divas segment at WM 25, from Kid Rock to Santina
-- Hogan leaving WM 9 with the title
-- Jericho/HHH being built as crappy as it was for WM 18 and STILL going on after Rock/Hogan
-- Kane vs. Khali happening at WM 23...instead of Kane in MiTB and Khali nowhere near the card
-- Jericho/Fandango at WM 29 instead of Jericho/Ziggler for the WHC (also to piggyback on that, Ziggler not cashing in at WM 29)

Baring in mind I haven't seen every Wrestlemania in its entirety after WM16, I've just seen bits and pieces of each one.

This can literally be said about over 50% of the stuff that happens on Wrestlemania's 1-10..... true. but this was hyped up as THE match of all time. and is talked about with reverence today. and other than the entrances/ staredown and from where Hogan finally knocks Andre down, the match is a big letdown. |
