Depends on a few factors...
If it has unique, exclusive packaging & is display-worthy, I'll keep it MOC. Ringside Exclusives often fall under this category....
If it is a figure that I am interested in possibly getting autographed - I'll keep it MOC.... occasionally, if I really like the figure, I'll buy two (one to keep loose, one to keep MOC). Often, I won't keep deceased wrestlers MOC (since there's no chance of getting them signed).
If it is a Miz figure - I will not buy it (I have none). The same principal applies to many diva figures (Ava Marie, Alicia Fox, etc). I don't see any use for these, MOC or otherwise... I will be on the lookout for a Lana figure though!

Mine are loose and mint, toys are meant to be open THIS FTW. I've said it before - the elite packages (and all figs should be made like this) can be opened and the figs put back in for storage or display later with no damage to the package at all. But to not open a fig...that just reminds of being a kid a buying a new figure and not ripping it open and playing with it...oh wait that never happened lol Besides - from experience - if you wanna keep it mint to SELL IT down the line. Sure it may be worth alot later on but you could get hit by a bus and never have that opportunity AND when re-selling things you still have to FIND people willing to pay the high price for it. A valuable item really isn't valuable at all if no one WANTS to by it right? I used to collect figures, cards, comics blah blah blah just to keep for their worth and I got nothing in return for all that money wasted. Loose on display all the way!

loose, display only. But I plan on playing with them when my son is old enough not to bash them together and ruin them.

I collect loose and display, but I do have a handful of figures that I keep in a box with my accessories which I play with if I get a chance (Cena, Orton, Bryan, Punk and Triple H)

Loose and MOC. Most of my gets are eBay or RSC, so if I get it loose thats how it is, but if it's MOC I can't bring myself to open.

I buy action figures cumpulsivly. I think I may actually have a problem.
My ritual is that I buy up all of the figures I feel like I have to have. I put the un-opened figures in a pile next to my desk. When I have free-time I'll grab a stack and open them on the couch while I watch wrestling or cartoons or something. After I open them, I'll play with them a little. Basically I'll make them fight a little bit.
When I'm done, I'll clean up. Each toy-line I collect has its own spot. I put the figures wherever they go and they'll sit there, waiting to be played with again. They wait for a long time because I don't have a ton of free time.
In my head, I figure eventually the kids'll move out and I'll retire. I'll finally have time to play with my toys. When that time comes I'll need all the toys I'm buying now in order to have the ultimate play experience. Deep down I know it sounds crazy, but it's one of the few things that bring pleasure. The collecting of toys I mean.

I'm strictly a MOC Collector.
The days of playing and posing figures for me ended when I sold my first collection, that was back whenever Classic Series 10 was in stores.
Nothing against collecting loose, or playing with them either, because to each their own.

I use to collect two of everything..1 loose for display and 1 moc to hang on the wall..i stopped collecting moc around elite 31. it got to be to much for me as I was collecting since the beginning in 2010..my entire apartment was covered in mattel wwe. I sold my entire moc collection. collecting just loose saves an incredible amount of space I def.prefer it. in one big lot or parted out? how much did u get for it? -if u don't mind me asking. gotta love getting large sums of $ @ once!
