If mattel would do away with basics there'd be no budget issuse.Everyone obviously drools over elite style and I know they're the premium top seller for the wwe figure line of mattel, so why not just have all elites sold in glass cases(like the electronic and video game isle) to prevent theft of elite accessories. Hell, have all top of the line toys sold in theft proof cases for that matter.... And have the legends sold online only for collectors. Elites are not an option for every one or every family. Remember, when it comes down to it, these are toys designed for children. Every parent isn't ready or able to shell ot $22 for an elite. Hell, my parents wouldn't spend that much on a toy for me. Sure, as a collector I'm all for your suggestions, however as a realist, I know and understand the purpose of basic figures.

^ ^ ^ ^
I was in Wal Mart the other night and swear to God this lady had in the front of her cart
B47 Rusev B47? Cesaro BP The Shield (think it Ambrose & Rollins) BP Wyatt's
She said she's going to have to settle for one of these because they didn't have of all people.....Brodus Clay!! She was looking for Brodus Clay! But all she could find was a Bashing Brawler Brodus Clay. She said she'd settle for the Shield
So the weirdest crap sells (or would've sold) to kids I guess
Another kid came up and grabbed 2 basics. One was the Punk in blue that is clogging up 75% of Wal Marts shelves and the other was that B47? Cesaro
BTW they had Elite 33 X Pac, JYD, Shield and Bluetista and neither of those customers even looked at the Elites

that doesn't excuse Basics having terrible T-Crotch articulation.
that was a reason i didn't like the Jakks classics figures. Whats the point of having a wrestling figure that can't you can't pose or do moves with? Its unacceptable for a $10 figure in 2015 to have worse leg articulation than every other toyline at that price point

Look at RVD and Rybacks singlets. Amazing When BS ReAction figures are $10 just compare them to Mattels If you have to have posing and all then stick to Elites, but you're missing out on sone great Basics Go to the Other Brands board and watch the WCW Galoob commercial. If they can have a match and do moves with those pieces of shiit, then kids shouldn't have a problem with Mattels!

Mattel knows what they are doing. They are offering a cheap figure for $10 but its limited to what it can do for playing so kids have to buy elites to perform wrestling moves. If I were Mattel, I would create another line of basic figures with elite leg articulation and price it at around $15 like the basic Corporate Kane.

Yea but if they erase basics that would free up more space for their budget and they wouldn't have to compensate by jacking up elite prices thus having the prices drop dramatically on elites and having them pumped out at a much faster rate which is a good thing imo.

That is a really good idea I don't like that idea cuz it would be pointless to come out with a hybrid elite/basic series, that would mean a whole nother line that would take up too much of the budget and even more details would be left out and besides, it defies logic if you bought a semi-articulate figure, either make it articulate fully or basically! It would be frustrating on so many levels lol!!!

Honda or whatever makes different models from small to big, from cheap to expensive. They are trying to offer products for everybody that can buy cars so the more product they offer, the more chances of selling their cars. Mattel will always have budget to try new things like Flex Force or whatever they are called now. These lines don't interfere with Basics and Elites.

I am a new collector and began my collection only collecting Elites... Then I bought Hulk Hogan Basic Series 48 & I realised the Basics stand better & when you give them a cloth shirt they look very at home next to the Elites I like to have a mixture of Basic & Elites in my collection

Yeah yeah but seriously... No Q & A?!? I'm pretty sure Bill said there wouldn't be one. I don't really need one. The majority of the questions would be "Will you make a figure of (fill this blank spot with anyone not currently signed)?" They showed enough new figures to hold me over to SDCC.
