Mark crowd or not, he's received the attention he deserves since the Royal Rumble has ended. He's great, regardless if he started the #AxelMania trend.

Axel is a helluva wrestler. Unfortunately he lacks charisma, and was very wooden tonight. Its really sad how much he's like DiBiase Jr. in that the charisma wasn't passed down. He has a better chance of getting beaten up by Hogan on his way to the ring and 'never being thrown out' than winning. I respect Axel, but this forced Axel angle is just another situation that makes me cringe at how terribly they are wasting a natural like Cody Rhodes. Forcing things rarely works as well as letting them play out naturally. See Reigns, Roman.

Would he have gotten his Noah run? Nah, probably not. And his short time in Noah did wonders for him. Hennig on the other hand is only around due to his name and the fact that he's buddies with Brock. Is Joe Hennig a decent hand? Oh sure he is. But Teddy was a good worker flirting with greatness. Joe's ringwork has more in common with Dino Bravo than Curt Hennig.

I would love to see Axel or Mizdow win the Battle Royal but it'll probably end up being Ryback. I wouldn't mind seeing them feud. I don't see it happening. I don't see them doing anything with Axel actually.

Maybe he's developed a personality since he left WWE, but he had absolutely nothing going for him during his tenure.

I was privy to being around them and watching them work for Harley and have seen pretty much 95% of each of their work...There's nothing wrong with liking a guy because you like him; I was a HUGE Virgil fan as a kid. But let's not confuse charisma with favoritism. If Joe has so much charisma explain why he's never been given a face run. If Joe Hennig's such a great worker please, please name one match of his that was above average. I can think of a dozen great Teddy matches off the top of my head, but the only decent match of Joe's I can think of were with Mystico.
Also, Teddy never b*tched about jobbing out to a world class worker.

Zack Ryder will be quote that! There is no story there though. Axel has been bragging about never being eliminated from the Rumble, so it would be humorous for him to be tossed over immediately. yeah I agree. It works better in a Royal Rumble situation cause there would only be two people in the ring and all the focus would be on his being thrown over. The Andre one is a big cluster F and it might not have the same impact. That said, they should and probably will still do it.

It would be pretty cool. So no, I don't expect it to happen.

I pretty much agree with this 100%. Ted Jr. was awkward on the mic. Cody was the clear star from day 1. I never saw anything in Ted Jr.

All I know is Curtis Axel is making me laugh right now and that's enough for me. I expect the gimmick to continue. He'll be attacked or something will happen where he's not actually eliminated and the beat will go on for him. This whole deal is like jobber Sandow. He'll come out, make the crowd chuckle and then he'll lose.
And the closest Ted Jr. ever got to charisma was when Cody Rhodes put a paper bag over his head.

Everyone in the match will probably turn to him first and they'll all pick him up and toss him over and he'll be the first elimination. I'd love for him to win, I love the guy, but I know WWE doesn't give a damn about him.

yea theres no way Axel even gets into this thing...he will be attacked or something continuing the gimmick
they may have just found something here with the guy. i mean, Sandow was jobbing a LOT before the Mizdow thing...these kinds of goofy over-the-top gimmicks have their way of working occasionally

Axel is truly a mess in terms of mic work.
More than anything he needs to spend some time in NXT. Every time he has a mic a fund myself tensing up.
