Haters gonna hate! Go Big Blue! How many gallon jugs of tears, Sucka? Took me a week to recover. Haha. Still proud of my team. Hate to see so many of them go but now I get to spend the rest if spring and summer hitting their autograph sessions.

The scary thing is that you'll still be at least a top ten I think to start the year off, possibly top three.

At first when this season ended, I felt burnt out for a day or two. I was ready for a break. But on day three I began foaming at the mouth for the next group to get here and get to work. That's just how it is around here. It's always basketball season. Lol. So I'll keep occupied with signings until Big Blue Madness in October. First up is Andrew and Aaron Harrison on Wednesday.

I felt very similar to the way I did when UK lost the '97 title game to Arizona in overtime. I was despondent for several days because the Cats were more talented than the team that beat them. While UK has won 3 titles in my 20 years as a fan, we've also had abrupt endings that were soul-crushing. I think what made this loss so painful was not only the loss of a possible perfect season but getting so close to #9 last year despite an erratic regular season and injuries to spam, Randle, and Young. I was hoping this year would be a balm for the agony of that. Still, I've joined you in the optimism for next year. I've been watching vids of our incoming players and checking various websites daily for Cal's recruiting activities. I wish we could start the season next week because while I watch other sports, NOTHING compares to watching the Cats play for a card-carrying member of BBN.

This season, to me, felt like some sort of odd continuation to last season.

Or go to a 5th final four in 7 years How about no. You're right to say "no", because if UK returns to the Final Four next year (and there is already a core of players capable of this), it would be 5 Final Fours in *6* years, not 7.

This season, to me, felt like some sort of odd continuation to last season. Those guys really care about one another, and they all wanted the title so intensely that they put off their NBA fortunes and risked injury for another chance at it. I'll always remember how they put their collective thumb in the eye of "one and done" critics who think that modern NCAA players don't care about the game's integrity. Also, it's nice to think about the fact that there are only 19 schools, Kentucky included, with more than 4 Final Four appearances. In a mere 5 years, Coach Cal equaled or surpassed the achievements of most college basketball programs.
