May 17, 2002 | Bell Centre, Montreal, Quebec, Canada "Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to WWE Smackdown, live on UPN! Tonight, as announced by our general manager Mr. McMahon earlier today, in our blockbuster main event, the man who publicly embarrassed Kurt Angle last week, Edge, will team up with Booker T and Goldust to take on The Un-Americans and Kurt Angle in a huge six man tag team match. And also, we will have an update on The Rock's condition after he was tombstoned on the roof of a limousine last week by his opponent this Sunday at Judgment Day, the WWE Champion, The Undertaker." said Michael Cole, as the pyro exploded and we were welcomed into the go-home episode of Smackdown before Judgment Day. WWE Hardcore Championship - Test vs Raven Test wins after a big boot (2:22) Brock Lesnar was shown arriving to the arena. The Undertaker came out to the ring on his motorcycle, with a microphone. "For the past week, the question on everybody's lips has been "Will The Rock even make it to Judgment Day?", because last week, I dropped him head-first on top of a limousine. The answer to that question is simple. I don't care if The Rock doesn't make it to Judgment Day, and I don't care if he does, because the fact is, if he steps into that ring on Sunday, I will bust his ass once again. The Rock is nothing more than a thorn in my side and he's been that way for too long, and come Judgment Day, I'm gonna get rid of him for good.
But that's Sunday. Now, I wanna talk about tonight. Because you see, tonight, in our main event, two men who are gonna battle for the #1 Contendership to my title are gonna be in action, and quite frankly, I couldn't care less if Edge wins or if Kurt Angle wins, because the same result will happen. Me puttin' your ass down for the three count, and holding on to this title."
-Commercial Break- Brock Lesnar vs Hardcore HollyHalfway through the match, Lesnar dropped Holly right on the back of his head with a sickening powerbomb, after which, Hardcore stopped moving. Trainers and EMTs rushed down to the ring, as a stretcher was called to the ringside and the match was ruled as a no-contest. As the doctors checked on Holly, Lesnar laughed and kicked him in the head for good measure. No Contest (3:01)"If Lesnar can do something like that, possibly break a man's neck and show absolutely zero remorse for it, what else is this monster capable of?"
"I don't know Cole, but I'll tell you one thing - this spells bad news for Chris Benoit and his surgically repaired neck this Sunday."
"Yeah, you're right, Tazz, I didn't even think of that. Chris Benoit missed almost a year of in-ring action after he was forced to have his neck surgically repaired after breaking it early last year. If Lesnar did something like that to Benoit, it would surely spell the end of his career."Lesnar, at this point, pulled doctors away, and grabbed Holly again. As referees pleaded with him to put Hardcore down, Lesnar continued to show no signs of remorse, but he was finally stopped when Chris Benoit hit the ring. Lesnar swung for him, but Benoit ducked and threw him overhead with a German Suplex. Brock quickly rolled out of the ring and jumped back over the barricade, leaving the arena.
A promo for Judgment Day featuring clips of The Undertaker, a noose, a gravestone, and a casket were shown. "A thousand deaths."
"Men will rise."
"Men will fall."
"One decides their fate."
"The day of reckoning is upon us."
"Judgment Day is around the corner."WWE Judgment Day is live on Pay-Per-View, Sunday, May 19th, 2002, 8E/7C. "Ladies and gentlemen, we've just received word from the production truck, Hardcore Holly is currently in an ambulance on his way to the nearest medical facility, we understand that doctors are currently unsure of the damage done to his neck, but they are expecting it be broken after how he landed on that powerbomb from Brock Lesnar, we'll show you a replay right here, as you see, Holly landed high and tight, right on his neck and head, and we wish Hardcore a speedy recovery and we hope for the best."
"Yeah, absolutely, but we've gotta shift our focus here, as we're about to see the Cruiserweights in action."Billy Kidman vs Chavo Guerrero Billy Kidman wins after a Shooting Star Press (4:12)
-Commercial Break- Vince McMahon was shown backstage in his office with Test. "Welp, congratulations on another dominant victory, you know, I know that I've made the right decision in picking you to represent me this Sunday. I mean, you've had one hell of a year so far. You've taken Triple H to the limit 3 times, and you've beaten pretty much everybody who's been put in front of you, and there is not a single doubt in my mind that you'll put down whatever scrub Ric Flair has picked this Sunday."
"Haha, believe me Mr. McMahon, it doesn't matter who he's picked, their ass is mine."
"I believe you." Val Venis vs Steven Richards Val Venis wins after The Money Shot (2:49) Edge, Booker T and Goldust vs Kurt Angle, Lance Storm and ChristianIn the early goings, Booker and Goldust exchanged tags and worked over the Un-Americans, and we got a preview of Sunday's #1 Contenders match as Edge and Kurt Angle went at it. Angle took control and bought Edge to the mat, and Angle's team concentrated on isolating Edge from his partners and keeping him on their side of the ring. As they held onto control, Edge's second win kicked in and he started to mount some offence again, connecting with forearm shots to the face of his brother Christian, and hitting an Edgeucution for two before Angle came in to break it up. Edge tagged in Booker, who came into the match like a house on fire, hitting the Book-End on Christian, and the scissors kick to Storm. Booker then performed the spin-a-roonie, but he was taken down by Angle after it. Kurt stomped away on Booker in the corner, until Goldust tagged himself in, trapped Angle in the corner, and hit him with the Golden Globes. As Angle rolled to the outside, Goldust hit Christian with the Final Cut, Booker T hit Storm with another scissors kick, and Edge hit Angle with a spear as his team celebrated a hard fought victory on the ramp. Edge, Booker T and Goldust defeat Kurt Angle, Lance Storm and Christian (10:36)© 2002, World Wrestling Entertainment.

Official Theme Song - "Your Disease" by SalivaSunday Night Heat, Live On MTV"Diamond" Dallas Page vs William RegalKnowing full well that the presence of The Un-Americans would likely be felt, DDP had to try and finish this one as quick as possible can but Regal, the technician, took control from the very bgeinning, bringing Test down to the mat and dictating the pace of the match to his liking after the collar and elbow tie up, and started to target Page's arm and shoulder, presumably to weaken him for the Regal Stretch. Regal then mounted the back of Page, putting his full wait on him, and started delivering right hands to DDP's arm and shoulder, before pulling it back and wrenching on it. "Very unique offence here from William Regal, Al, you don't see many other people do that.", said The Coach, to which Al Snow replied: "William Regal is one of the most accomplished professional wrestlers I have ever met. The amount of ways he can hurt you is honestly unreal, he's incredibly underrated". Regal continued to work over Page, putting the arm in a number of different holds, and as the action spilled over to the outside, slamming it against the ring post twice, and then sending him shoulder first into the steel steps. Regal then positioned DDP's arm on the ring apron, and hit him with a stomp right on the bicep. Page fell to the floor in agony, as Regal basked in his work, looking proud up on the apron. Regal then rolled Page back into the ring and continued the offense, locking in a seated half nelson on DDP. Page tried to rally the crowd up and finally get back to his feet, but when he did, Regal hit him with a kick to the gut, dropped him on his head with a DDT, rolled through and locked in a Guillotine. DDP looked like he was fading away, but he did manage to make it to a vertical base, and then countered Regal's Guillotine hold with a beautiful Bridging Northern Lights Suplex, but only got two as Regal was able to kick out. As soon as both men got back to their feet, DDP took Regal down with a series of clotheslines, followed by a stiff elbow to the head. Page called for the Diamond Cutter, but before he could pull it off, Regal countered into the Regalplex and rolled through into the Regal Stretch. As Regal wrenched on the hold further, Page desperately tried to grab the bottom rope and finally got there. Regal then started to get frustrated, and got in the face of the referee. This momentary distraction was enough for Page to recover and hit the Diamond Cutter for the win. Diamond Dallas Page defeats William Regal (7:21)

Official Theme Song - "Your Disease" by Saliva"Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to WWF Judgment Day! I'm "Good Ol' JR", Jim Ross, alongside my broadcast colleague, Jerry "The King Lawler", and King, tonight, we will see Chris Jericho and Triple H go to war with one another for the last time, and we will have a definitive winner, because this time, there is no escape. There is no way out, as tonight, we will see them do battle inside Hell In A Cell."
"Yeah, JR, I can't wait for that one but also, we will see Stone Cold and Eddie Guerrero do battle in the rubber match of their feud, the tie breaker, we will find out who truly is the better man."
"Absolutely King, that's certainly gonna be a huge match, but now, let's send it over to our good friends from Smackdown, Michael Cole and Tazz!"
"Thanks JR, and Tazz, Smackdown's got a huge lineup tonight as well!"
"You ain't kidding, Cole, The Undertaker will go one in one with The Rock, but not only that, Kurt Angle and Edge will do battle, and by the end of the night, one of them is gonna be bald. I can't wait!"
"Certainly going to be interesting to see what happens in that match, but before we kick our night off with Cruiserweight action, let's get a few words from our Spanish announce team, Hugo Savinovich, and Carlos Cabrera!"
"Gracias, Cole, y Hugo, esta noche, Chris Jericho y Triple H se llevará unos a otros al infierno dentro de Hell in a Cell, pero primero, vamos a saque de esta noche con un combate por el título de peso crucero!" Cruiserweight Championship Billy Kidman vs Tajiri "Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship! Introducing first, from Yokohama, Japan, weighing in at 209lbs, Tajiri!"
"Well, uh, Tajiri is certainly an off colour personality, but that doesn't mean he isn't one hell of a competitor."
"Yeah, Tajiri certainly a little weird, but, hey, there's nothing wrong with that Cole, you're pretty damn weird."
"And from Allentown, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 215lbs, he is the WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Billy Kidman!"
"Since winning the Cruiserweight Title back in March at Wrestlemania, Kidman has had a target on his back to everybody in the Cruiserweight division, and he first knocked off the Hurricane last month, but now he's facing a whole different ball game in the form of Tajiri."
Kidman, feeding off of the crowd, took control of Tajiri early on, until the "Japanese Buzzsaw" sent Kidman off into the ropes. Tajiri then swept out the leg of Billy, and went for a series of covers, but Kidman kicked out at one each time. Tajiri then pinned Kidman's hands down to the mat with the Greco-Roman Knuckle Lock and climbed on top of him for the pin, but Kidman was able to bridge out. Tajiri then kicked Kidman in the thighs to break the bridge, but Billy was able to bridge out again. Both man came up to their feet, and Kidman then took control, twisting the arm of Tajiri around and bringing him down to his knees, but Tajiri stepped over his own arm to alleviate the pressure and break free. Kidman went after him again, but Tajiri was able to hit the drop toe hold, sending Billy face first into the middle turnbuckle, and then hitting a Rolling Chaos Theory, but Kidman kicked out. As Kidman rested on his knees, Tajiri ran after Kidman and planted him on his head with a Babyrana. The middle portions of the match were then spent with Tajiri in control, putting a number of different holds on the Cruiserweight Champion, and eventually, locking in a sleeper. As Tajiri held the Champ in the hold, Billy used the turnbuckles to run up, float over the back of Tajiri, dropkick him in the back, and connect with a high angle back suplex to the challenger. Kidman went for the cover, but stopped the cover himself, instead climbing up to the top rope and going for the shooting star press. Tajiri rolled out of the way, but Kidman also landed on his feet. Billy went for a shot to the head, but Tajiri ducked it and went for a victory roll with a handful of tights, but Kidman this time was able to kick out. As the champ got back up, Tajiri went for the Buzzsaw Kick, but Kidman ducked, hit the BK Bomb, and then the Shooting Star Press to retain the title. Billy Kidman retains the Cruiserweight Title (8:39) World Tag Team Championships Booker T and Goldust vs The Un-Americans "Ladies and gentlemen, the following tag team match is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the World Tag Team Championships, introducing first, at a combined weight of 516lbs, the team of Booker T and Goldust!"
"Well, uh, King, this is certainly a rather oddball team, but you can't argue with success, and these two have had a good deal of that lately."
"Ugh, I don't know what's got into Booker T these past few weeks, JR. He's gone from one of my favourite wrestlers to hanging around with a face painted creep like Goldust."
"And their opponents, representing "The Great White North", and at a combined weight of 443lbs, they are the World Tag Team Champions, Christian and Lance Storm, The Un-Americans!"
"Since banding together in January, these two and their, uh, cronies, shall we say, Test and later William Regal have ran roughshod over the WWE, and really punctuated that last month by winning the vacant World Tag Team Championships, but they're in for a hell of a war here tonight with Booker T and Goldust."
"You might not like them, JR, but you can't argue with the success these guys have had. They've beaten a number of top names here in the WWE."
"Oh, I'm not disputing that, King, I'm just saying that they may have met their match in the form of these two."
"Remember JR, we're supposed to be unbiased."
"Awfully rich, King."
Since banding together in January, The Un-Americans have made a hell of a reputation for themselves, and Booker T and Goldust looked to be the ones to finally put them down. As Storm and Booker circled the ring to begin the match, they locked up, and Storm immediately began wrenching on the arm, flipping Booker T over and onto the mat, then locking in the rear chinlock, but Booker got back up to his feet, sent Storm off into the ropes, and knocked him down with a big shoulder tackle. Storm got back up and again came after Booker T, but Booker sent Lance across the ring with an armdrag, followed by another, and another, and another. Storm, frustrated, got up and tagged in Christian, to which Booker T responded by tagging in Goldust. Christian came in fast, rushing Goldust into the corner, striking him in the head, and as Goldust slumped down in the corner, Christian began stomping away on Goldust, and then celebrating to the crowd, being showered with boos. Christian then dragged Goldust into the centre of the ring, and locked in a body scissors on the challenger, and then smashing his head with elbows. As Goldust writhed around the mat, Christian reached towards Storm, and Lance pulled on his arms to give him an advantage. "These Un-Americans certainly aren't afraid to use some underhanded tactics, but you've gotta give it to them - they certainly have great chemistry in the ring.", said JR, as Christian and Storm continued to tag in and out, swapping between holds on Goldust and keeping him away from Booker T. The longer Goldust was held in the corner, the more Booker T itched to get into the ring. Booker stirred on the apron, as Goldust reached desperately to tag in his fresh partner. Goldust rallied up the crowd, as Storm held him in a half nelson, and Finally got back up, connecting with an elbow to the guy of Storm, sending him off into the ropes, taking him down with a Bionic Elbow, and finally tagging in Booker. Booker T came in like a house on fire, taking Storm down with a clothesline, and planting Christian as soon as he came in with a spinebuster, and then connecting with the Scissors Kick for a two count, as Storm was able to break it up. Booker got back up straight away, and Storm wildly swung with a shot to the face, but Booker ducked it, planted him with the Book-End, then pulling off a spin-a-roonie in the ring. As Booker called for Storm to get back up, William Regal came running down the ramp, distracting the referee, and allowing Christian to blast Booker T in the face with one of the World Tag Team Titles, thus allowing Storm to crawl to the cover before Goldust could make the save and retain the World Tag Team Titles. Lance Storm and Christian retain the World Tag Team Championships (9:43)
A promo showing how Vince McMahon and Ric Flair's feud has escalated since it was revealed that Flair was co-owner of the WWF back in 2001 was shown. Loser's GM Is Fired Test vs ??"Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall, with the loser's General Manager being fired. Introducing first, being accompanied to the ring by Mr. McMahon, and representing "The Great White North", weighing in at 275lbs, he is the WWE Hardcore Champion, Test!"
"Test has certainly been on a roll this year, so much so that Mr. McMahon has selected him to represent him here tonight, but he is at a disadvantage going in, as he has absolutely no idea who his opponent is."
"Alright, Flair, you've kept us in suspense long enough, who's so good that you've kept him a secret from us this long?"
"A- And his opponent, being accompanied to the ring by Ric Flair.."
"From Battle Creek, Michigan, weighing in at 220lbs, he is the WWE Intercontinental Champion, Rob! Van! Dam!"
"Well, there he is King! That's the man who's going to be representing our General Manager and our brand here tonight, the current Intercontintal Champion, Rob Van Dam, the man who I believe is the greatest man to never be WWE Champion."
Test laughed as Van Dam stood across the ring from him. Both men got into the centre of the ring, and Test tried to intimidate RVD by standing over him, but the Intercontinental Champion was having none of it, and immediately went after the big man's legs, striking him with stiff kicks and forcing Test back into the corner, then connecting with more kicks, this time to the chest and gut, before hitting a roundhouse, and then an impressive monkey flip across the ring. "A 275lb monkey flip, and Van Dam is on fire in the early goings!" "And look at Mr. McMahon! He's irate". As Test got back up, it was clear that he was, by this point, angered. Test ran wildly towards RVD, but Van Dam ducked, and dropkick Test in the back, sending him head first into the corner, forcing him out of the ring. "And this is exactly what Van Dam needs to do here in this match, use his speed, use his quickness to his advantage!". Van Dam then went flying to the outside with a cross body, taking Test down. Van Dam continued to go on the offensive, bouncing Test's head off of the announce table, draping him across the barricade, and hitting his patented leg drop across the back of the neck. Ric Flair cheered him on, as so far, this match had been all Rob Van Dam. RVD threw Test back into the ring, after which he performed his signature taunt to the crowd. Those few seconds would prove to be costly for him, however, as Test damn near decapitated him with a clothesline when he got back into the ring. Test then started to get more and more aggressive, repeatedly slamming the back of Van Dam's head into the mat, striking him in the face with punches, forearms, and elbows, and then bringing the stomps to Van Dam's head. Test then grabbed the Intercontinental Champion's leg, and began to go to work. Dropping elbow after elbow, stomping at the knee joint, and locking in a leg bar, just like that, momentum in the match had completely shifted in Test's favour. The big man continually wore down the legs and knee of RVD, wrapping it around the bottom rope, slamming it against the ring post, hanging him in the tree of woe, and elbowing the knee again. "Test is just so dominant when he gets going, he is a real beast of a man". As Van Dam slumped down to the mat, Test picked him up and whipped him off into the ropes, and went for the clothesline, but Van Dam was able to dodge it, and when Test turned around, knock him silly with a roundhouse, followed by a soulbutt, followed by a leg sweep, but clearly favouring his leg. Van Dan managed to hit Rolling Thunder, and with a sense of urgency, climbed to the top rope for the Five Star Frog Splash, but Mr. McMahon pushed him off of the top rope, to which Ric Flair pulled McMahon down off of the apron and struck him in the head. As Flair and McMahon brawled on the outside, Test connected with the big boot and went for the cover, but the referee was distracted. Test got up and grabbed the referee by the collar, before throwing him across the ring like a ragdoll. "Test can't do that, can he?!" "Well, technically, King, yes he can, Test can't be fired after he won that immunity battle royal back at the Survivor Series in November." With the referee down, Test got out of the ring and grabbed a chair, eyeing up Van Dam and looking to strike, but before he could, RVD grabbed it, threw it back at Test, and hit him with the Van-Daminator! Test fell down, but luck was not on Van Dam's side, as the referee did see it, and he was disqualified, losing the match and costing Ric Flair his job. Test wins via disqualification (9:22)
As Van Dam stood in the ring looking disappointed, Ric Flair got in the ring and tried to console him. The camera picked up what they were saying. "Dammit, I let you down."
"No, come on now, man, it wasn't your fault. I don't blame you."Mr. McMahon then grabbed a microphone. "Come on, everybody! Sing it with me."McMahon and Test began singing. "Na-Na-Na-Na! Na-Na-Na-Na! Hey! Hey! Hey! Goodbye! Na-Na-Na-Na! Na-Na-Na-Na! Hey! Hey! Hey! Goodbye!"
Flair, I have waited a hell of a long time to say this, and by god, this is gonna be sweet. Ric Flair... YYYYYYYOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUU'RRRRREEEEEEEE! FFFFFFIIIIIIRRRRRREEEEEDDDDD!"Flair began walking up the ramp, with Van Dam following him. Flair looked at Vince, and as McMahon laughed, Flair gave him the middle finger and left through the curtain. Jonathan Coachman was shown backstage with the WWE Champion, Triple H. "Ladies and gentlemen, I am standing by with the man who will take on his long time rival, Chris Jericho, tonight, inside Hell In A Cell, Triple H. Game, tonight, you and Chris Jericho will do battle for the last time. What are you thinking headed into this match."
"I'll tell you exactly what I'm thinking. Since me and Chris first did battle, it's always been about one thing; championships. Every single time, we've been going at it for Championships. Tonight, however, isn't about Championships. Yeah, this might be on the line, but that isn't what I'm worried about. Tonight, I've got one thing on my mind. Breaking Chris Jericho. Over a year ago, Chris Jericho crippled me on Raw, and tonight, I'm gonna do unto to him, as he did to me. Tonight, I put an end to Chris Jericho. Everybody knows that when it comes to me and him, there has to be one winner, and come the end of the night, we might never be the same again, but believe me when I say, I walk my ass out of Tennessee with this belt still over my shoulder."
#1 Contenders Match Edge vs Kurt Angle"The following Hair vs Hair #1 Contenders match is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 242lbs, Kurt Angle!"
"These past few weeks Tazz, Edge has publicly embarrassed Kurt Angle a number of times, let's take a look back, two weeks ago:"And his opponent, from Toronto, Ontario Canada, weighing in at 251lbs, Edge!""One of the most popular young superstars on the roster today, Cole, Edge has been on a roll in 2002!"
"He sure has partner, and we'll see if he can continue that roll here tonight by beating Kurt Angle and moving on to Judgment Day, where, if we wins, he will face either The Undertaker or The Rock!"
Edge and Angle got in each other's faces at first, with a very tense atmosphere in the air. Both men could be heard talking trash to each other, and as the bell rang, both men locked up, with Edge transitioning into the waist lock, and taking Angle down to the mat. Kurt however countered that into a headlock, then into a front facelock, and then slapping Edge on the back of the head. Edge got up to his knees and Angle ran towards him, Edge swept the legs and went for the cover on Angle, but he was able to kick out. Edge was able to sweep the legs once more, but again, Angle kicked out. Kurt Angle got up to his feet, as did Edge, and both men went after each other again, this time with Angle taking control of the match, powering Edge into the ropes and initially breaking free, but punching Edge in the face after he broke it. Edge then took him down with a clothesline, followed by another, but before he could hit the third, Kurt ducked it, went behind and threw Edge overhead with a German Suplex. Angle wasted no time in getting on top of Edge, keeping him down to the mat and wrestling the match at his own pace. Angle pulled Edge's hair after switching between a number of holds, and as a result was forced to break the hold and get back up to his feet. As Edge slumped back into the corner, Angle rolled to the outside, and dragged Edge crotch first into the ringpost. "Nothing pretty about that", said Cole as Angle attempted to bounce the head of Edge off of the steel steps, but instead, it would be Angle who went head first into the steel. As Kurt stumbled around the ringside area, Edge finally started to get some offence back, hitting Angle with right hands to the face, rolling him back into the ring, and dropping angle throat first with a flapjack across the top rope, sending him down. Angle held his throat against the ropes, trying to defend himself and regain his composure again, but Edge, the opportunist, ran into the ropes and dropped all of his weight on the neck of Angle, who was still rested across the ropes. Angle got back to his feet, and Edge tried to rally the fans up. Edge climbed up to the top rope, and went for the flying missile dropkick, however, Angle, miraculously, moved out of the way, and like lightning, grabbed Edge by the waist and launched him overhead with German Suplex, after German Suplex, after German Suplex, after German Suplex, finally releasing after the sixth. The straps came down, and Kurt called for the Ankle Lock, but Edge used his free leg to kick away, and as Angle stumbled towards him, Edge planted him with the Edgeucution. Edge went for the cover, but Angle had been playing possum, and rolled him up with the small package, and Edge kicked out, but Kurt rolled through again, and this time trapped him in the Ankle Lock. Edge writhed in pain and flailed his arms around to try and get to the bottom rope, but to no avail, as Angle grapevined him. Angle continued to apply the hold to the ankle, but Edge was able to roll over and alleviate the pressure, forcing Angle to break the hold. Angle broke it, but stomped Edge on the head as he did. Angle then called for the Angle Slam, lifted Edge up, but Edge broke free, pushed Angle away, and connected with the spear for the 3. Edge defeats Kurt Angle (11:36) "And that is it! Next month, Edge will face the winner of tonight's WWF Championship match at Judgment Day! And let's not forget, this also means that Angle is about to be bald! I can't wait!"
"Come on, Cole, show some class! Poor Kurt Angle just lost this match, and now he's gotta be shaved bald too!"
"Hey, Angle agreed to the stipulation, and now he's gotta face the consequences!"Edge dragged a basically unconscious Angle up the ramp, sat him in the barber's chair next to the stage, strapped him in using the seatbelt, grabbed the razor, applied the foam, and started shaving. "Oh my god! Angle's bald! Angle's bald! Look at him! I can't believe it!"Angle, after a while, regained consciousness, and was shown his now bald self in a mirror. The Olympic Gold Medalist could do nothing but cry. Chris Benoit vs Brock Lesnar "Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from Edmonton, Alberta, weighing in at 220lbs, "The Rabid Wolverine", Chris Benoit!"
"If there is one man on the WWE roster who is capable of out wrestling Brock Lesnar, it's Benoit, Cole."
"And, his opponent, being accompanied to the ring by his agent, Paul Heyman, from Minneapolis, Minnesota, weighing in at 285lbs, "The Next Big Thing", Brock Lesnar!"
"Since debuting the night after Wrestlemania, this man has bought destruction everywhere he's stepped. The list of names of people he's taken out is a who's who of WWE superstars. Kane. Matt Hardy. Jeff Hardy. The Hurricane. Lita. The Big Show, and of course, most recently, Hardcore Holly, who suffered a broken neck at the hands of Lesnar two nights ago on Smackdown."
Benoit and Lesnar stood nose-to-chest in the middle of the ring, with the taller looking Lesnar looking down on Benoit, but Chris wasn't going to back down, and went right after Lesnar, striking him with blows to the gut and attempting a takedown, but Brock was just too powerful, and threw Benoit away with ease. "How many men do you know that can do that to a guy like Chris Benoit?" "One. Brock Lesnar." Lesnar charged after Benoit, trapping him in the corner, and smashing him in the gut with knee strikes, elbows, and punches, before launching him overhead with the belly-to-belly. Benoit got back up, favouring his back, and Lesnar wasted no time in going back after him, again backing Benoit into the corner, and this time pulling off a German Suplex. As Benoit writhed around in pain, Lesnar laughed. "YOU ARE LOOKING AT THE NEXT BIG THING!", yelled Paul Heyman from the outside, as Brock dropped to the mat and grabbed Benoit in the waist lock. Lesnar lifted Benoit up, and just started to toy with Benoit, holding him up in the air like a small child and unceremoniously dropping him down. Lesnar continued to mock, which only seemed to serve to make Benoit mad, as Chris came back into the match with shots to head, and even throwing Lesnar across the ring with a belly to belly to the shock of Heyman, but more importantly, Lesnar. Brock got up and immediately went for a shot to the head, but Benoit countered it into the Crippler Crossface. Benoit trapped Lesnar in the center of the ring, but the raw power of Lesnar saw him climb to his feet, with Benoit still attached to him, and flip Chris over his shoulder. When Benoit got up, Lesnar hit the F5 and that was all she wrote. Brock Lesnar defeats Chris Benoit (8:03) "Tazz, I don't believe what we've just seen. Chris Benoit, one of the toughest WWE superstars of all time, was just manhandled by that beast known as Brock Lesnar."
"This Lesnar is a freak, Cole, and I'm in shock. I've never seen anybody do that to Chris Benoit, ever. Just sheer domination for this animal Lesnar."
A promo for the match between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Eddie Guerrero was shown. Eddie Guerrero vs "Stone Cold" Steve Austin "Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from El Paso Texas, weighing in at 231lbs, Eddie Guerrero!"
"Well, uh, King, it was back in March that Guerrero returned and made it known by attacking Stone Cold, and since then, these two men have been on a collision course with one another, both owning one victory a piece, Guerrero at Backlash and Austin at Insurrextion, and tonight, we will see the "rubber match" so to speak."
"And from Victoria, Texas, weighing in at 253lbs, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin!"
"There you see the coldest eyes in the WWE ladies and gentlemen, and oh, wait a minute!"
Before the bell even rang, Guerrero met Austin on the ramp and both men started to brawl. Guerrero was sent crashing into the steel steps, as Austin stomped a mudhole in him and walked it dry. Stone Cold lifted Guerrero up, and dropped him down again with the Stun Gun onto the barricade. Eddie stumbled around the ringside area, favouring his back, and tried to escape through the crowd for some reprieve. Stone Cold followed him, and the two men brawled in and amongst the fans at the Gaylord Entertainment Centre. Austin tried to send Guerrero head first into a wall, but Eddie countered, and it was Austin's head that smacked against the wall. Stone Cold fell through a set of doors, and the two men ended up brawling in the concessions area. Guerrero took advantage of the environment, pouring soda and mustard over Austin's head to add insult to injury. Stone Cold started to fight back, hitting the forearm smash, then sending Guerrero flying over the top of the merchandise table and into the t-shirts. There, Austin saw an Eddie Guerrero t-shirt, grabbed it, and started choking Eddie with it. Guerrero finally got free after rolling underneath the table and trying to walk away for a chance to breathe, but was unable to, as Austin grabbed him by the mullet and dragged him into the next room, a long hallway. Austin grabbed a huge storage box and tried to squash Guerrero between the wall with it, but failed, as "Latino Heat" was able to counter and move, then grab a steel chair, and bust Austin's skull wide open. The bloody Rattlesnake, now on his knees, was at the mercy of Guerrero, as referees tried to seperate the two as the fight spilled over into the parking lot, with both men throwing each other head first into cars, and Guerrero getting smashed in the back with a ladder that Austin found. Stone Cold then climbed on top of a car, lifted Guerrero up, and shattered the windshield with a snap suplex, doing permanent damage to not only the car, but possibly himself and Guerrero. Both men fell off of the hood of the car, and the camera showed that Guerrero's back had been cut by the glass. Security and referees sprinted into the parking lot again to split both men up, as they were dragged away from each other, kicking and screaming, Austin broke free, ran over to Guerrero, and rained down the shots on his face with the Thesz Press. More security were bought in, and finally, both men were separated, with Guerrero taken one way, and Stone Cold another. "Well, ladies and gentlemen, from one heated rivalry to another, The Rock, if he's here, will now meet The Undertaker for his WWE Championship."
A promo for the match was shown. WWF Championship The Undertaker vs The Rock "Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it's for the WWE Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, from Miami, Florida, weighing in at 262lbs, The Rock!"
"Many people doubted if The Rock would even show up here tonight, but he's here, he's ready, and he's primed to become WWE Champion."
"Cole, there was no doubt in my mind that The Undertaker was gonna be here tonight. I knew he wouldn't miss this opportunity for the world."
"And his opponent, from Death Valley, weighing in at 299lbs, he is the WWE Champion, The Undertaker!"
"There's only one way to describe it, Tazz. That man right there is a bully. He is the "big dog" of Smackdown, and tonight, he looks to assert his dominance and take this yard as his own."
"Big Evil's been seemingly unstoppable since winning that title last month, Cole, but if anyone can beat him, I'm telling ya, it's that man right there, The Rock."
With the stakes high going in, both men knew what was at stake in this match. The pride of The Rock couldn't face losing twice in a row, and the ego of The Undertaker couldn't let The Rock have the spotlight. The match began, and both men circled each other, with The Undertaker holding his guard up. "Tazz, what do you think is going through the mind of that man, The Rock, right now?" "Well, I can tell you one thing for certain, Cole. The Rock knows that there's one thing he can't do, and that's get into a slugfest with The Undertaker. No matter what he does, he does not wanna trade punches with The Deadman, because that his where his bread is buttered, his strikes". They locked up, in a struggle for power, both men not willing to give in, and pushing each other with everything they had, until the collar and elbow tie up broke. They locked up again, this time, The Rock going behind, but The Undertaker grabbing the arm, twisting and wrenching, and going to work on The Rock, before "The People's Champ" was able to make it back to his feet, and pull off a snap overhead belly to belly suplex, forcing "The Deadman" to the outside. As Undertaker walked around the ringside area in frustration, The Rock looked on, waiting for him to get back in the ring, and when he did, The Undertaker rushed him into the corner, connecting with spears to the gut followed by a number of blows to the body of face, and finally a big throat thrust, sending The Rock down. The challenger could be seen coughing, but he couldn't for long, as The Undertaker went for the pin, but Rock got his hand on the bottom rope, and rolled to the outside, but The Undertaker did the same. "Big Evil connected with even more shots to The Rock, blasting him in the body and face, throwing "soup bones", as it were, before grabbing The Rock in a bearhug and slamming him spine first into the ring post. The Rock fell to the floor in pain, and The Undertaker could be heard saying "Get up! Get up!". Undertaker picked The Rock up again, but whatever he was going for, Rock countered with the drop toe hold and sent The Undertaker jaw first into the ring post. Rock, with a sense of urgency, knew he had to capitalise as quick as he could, and immediately threw "The Deadman" back into the ring, taking control of the match and working The Undertaker over on the mat with various holds and moves for a good while, but that was bought to a screeching halt when The Rock whipped Undertaker into the ropes and Undertaker came back with a Big Boot. Rock fell down, and The Undertaker went back on the offensive, bringing the match down to his slow, methodical pace, working the match in his favour. Undertaker got The Rock in a seated position, trapped him in a body scissors, and then locked in the Sleeper Hold. Rock desperately tried to reach for the ropes and break The Undertaker's grip, but he wasn't going to relenquish any time soon. The Rock flailed around to try and break Undertaker's grip, but it became clear that he was slowly fading away. The referee raised Rock's arm for 1 and 2, and it dropped straight back down, but before the referee could raise it for the third, Rock got his foot on the bottom rope. Undertaker then got back to his feet and held his arm out in the air, calling for the chokeslam. The Rock stumbled forward and Undertaker goozled him, but Rock fought back with elbows, turned it around, and planted Undertaker with the Rock Bottom from out of nowhere. "Rock Bottom! Rock Bottom! Rock Bottom! This is it, we're about to see a new Champion crowned!". The Rock crawled over to The Undertaker, barely making the cover, and The Undertaker was able to kick out before three. Rock got back up and called for something, possibly looking for a second Rock Bottom, but when Undertaker finally rose back to his feet, he was able to counter The Rock bottom by hitting The Rock with Snake Eyes. Rock went down, and The Undertaker lifted him up, sending him into the ropes and going for possibly another big boot, but The Rock countered into the Samoan Drop, kipped up, and got in position for The People's Elbow. He removed the elbow pad, ran into one set of ropes, followed by the other, and once again the first, but when he came back, The Undertaker grabbed him by the throat and planted him in the mat with the Chokeslam. Undertaker crawled over and hooked the leg, but it was The Rock this time showing great resiliency, popping the shoulder up. The Undertaker got back up, frustrated, and slit his thumb across his throat, signalling that he was ready to end this. The Rock staggered to his feet, and the Undertaker whipped him off into the ropes, but The Rock hit him with a huge Samoan Drop, kipped up, and removed his other elbow pad, again going for the People's Elbow, and this time, pulling it off. Rock then showed that he was going in for the kill, signalling for the Rock Bottom, but the Undertaker, over in the corner, had removed the top turnbuckle pad. The referee, now distracted, walked over to fix the pad, and while he had his back turned, The Undertaker kicked The Rock right in between the legs with a low blow, followed by a Tombstone Piledriver to retain the WWF Title. The Undertaker retains the WWE Championship (16:27)
A promo for the Hell In A Cell match between Chris Jericho and Triple H was shown. Hell In A Cell - World Heavyweight ChampionshipChris Jericho vs Triple H "Ladies and gentlemen, the following is a Hell In A Cell match. The match will begin once both Chris Jericho and Triple H have entered the ring, and the Cell has lowered. There will be no count outs, no disqualifications, and the only way to win is by either pinfall or submission".
"Introducing first, the challenger, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, weighing in at 229lbs, Chris Jericho!"
"King, I don't like to use the word 'hate' very often at all, but when it comes to Chris Jericho and Triple H, there is no other word for it - these two men genuinely hate each other."
"You're 100% right there, JR. These two men have a bona-fide hatred for one another, and it's rare that we need the Cell to settle a feud, but in the case of Y2J and The Game, it's certainly had to come down to this."
"And his opponent, from Greenwich, Connecticut, weighing in at 259lbs, he is the World Heavyweight Champion, "The Game", Triple H!"
"That man right there has been through hell before, King; spending a year on the sidelines due to a severe quadriceps injury, but both him and Jericho will face a new kind of hell here tonight; a hell known as the Cell. And if you look at his knee, it is wrapped up. It is taped up, and you can guarantee that is a bullseye to a technician like Jericho."
Both Jericho and Triple H faced each other in the centre of the ring, as the referee raised the World Heavyweight Championship in the air. Not a single word was exchanged between the two, yet you could have cut the atmosphere with a knife. The bell rang, and both Jericho and The Game started off exchanging shots with one another, blasting each other in the head with rights and lefts, and it was Jericho who fell on the ropes first, and the action spilled over to the outside, with Triple H clotheslining "Y2J" over the top rope. The Game continued to go on the offensive, ramming Jericho's head into the ring post, and slamming him into the steel steps. Triple H position Jericho against the steps, and went for a running knee, but Jericho ducked, and Triple H's bad knee was sent crashing into the steps, taking the brunt of the collision. Jericho got back up, walked over to Triple H, and grinded his head across the cell wall like a cheese grater. Jericho then grabbed a camera wire and started choking The Game, wrapping the wire around his throat, and the referee could do nothing about it, as the match was no disqualifications. Jericho used his boot to choke The Game, and then struck him in the thigh with a chair repeatedly. The Game dragged himself away and tried to make a vertical base, as Jericho stalked him, and again smashed him in the back of the leg with a chair. Jericho then stomped and stomped away at the leg, bringing Triple H to the floor. Jericho continued to pinpoint his attack on the leg, rolling Triple H into the ring, dropping the elbows on the leg, stomping at the leg, and dropping his knee on the leg. Triple H crawled back to the ropes, and tried to regain his composure, and as the referee checked on Triple H, Jericho pushed him out of the way and continued to stomp away at the knee. Triple H finally managed to pull himself back up, and when Jericho tried to attack The Game again, Triple H connected with shots to the head, forcing Jericho into the corner. Triple H continued to strike Jericho, stomping at the head and body, and hitting one final punch to the eye, splitting Jericho's head open. Jericho fell out of the ring, and The Game widely used that time to try and heal his leg, sitting down and stretching it out. Triple H got back to his feet and seemed to be walking a little better, and walked over to Jericho, but Y2J had it scouted and cracked him in the head with a steel chair, busting Triple H's head and making him bleed. The Game fell out of the ring, and Jericho this time sent Triple H crashing into the wall. As a limp Triple H lay slumped against the wall, Jericho hit him in the back of the head with the chair, crushing it between the cell wall and the chair. Triple H fell back down and started to crawl along the floor, but Jericho then grabbed a kendo stick from under the ring, and started blasting Triple H across the spine with it, lighting his back up a bright red colour. "Triple H is hurt, and he is hurt bad, folks. Not only is he bleeding from his skull, but his back is bright red, and he can't even stand up on his own two feet". Jericho continued to go after The Game, but realising he was in deep, deep trouble, Triple H hit Jericho with a low blow for some reprieve. Jericho fell down, and Triple H now grabbed the cane and struck Jericho across the back with it, giving him a taste of his own medicine. Jericho held his back, as Triple H continued to smash it with the kendo stick. Jericho used the ring post to get back up to his feet, as Triple H rolled into the ring. Jericho eventually got back in also, and the match continued. The two bloody warriors began exchanging blows again, to which the crowd responded "YAY!" for Triple H's strikes, and "BOO!" for Jericho's. Triple H prevailed, and once again had Jericho reeling. Y2J, literally on the ropes, had to think fast, and when Triple H attempted a kick to the gut, Jericho moved to the side, and Triple H's leg got caught up in the ropes. Jericho struck Triple H's knee a number of times before the referee managed to free him, but that didn't stop "Y2J", as Jericho pulled Triple H out of the ring, Irish Whipped him into the wall, and busted the cell door open. "They are free now, ladies and gentlemen. Who knows what might happen now that Jericho and The Game are on the outside?!", said JR, as Jericho punched an almost unconscious Triple H in the head with punches as he leaned against the barricade. The challenger then dragged the champion to the announce tables, but that was just enough time for Triple H to make a recovery. The Game fought back, sending Jericho head first into the announce table, but Jericho fought back as well, bouncing The Game's head off of the cell wall. Jericho then started climbing up the cell wall, but The Game followed him. Halfway up the wall, Triple H caught up with him, and tried to pull Jericho off of the cell wall. Jericho tried everything he could to stop The Game, but Triple H pulled him off and both men fell at least 20 feet off of the cell and through the announce tables below. "My god! My god! My god in heaven! Triple H and Chris Jericho may be broken in half after that! They had to fall 20 feet off of that wall! Good god!". As both men lay there motionless, the referee started to check on them, and Triple H began stirring. The Game got back up and used the wall to stay on his feet, and eventually, Y2J started to move too. Triple H, bad leg and all, started to walk back to the door, but Jericho swept his legs and locked him in the Walls Of Jericho on the outside. Triple H screamed in agony, his face and torso a bright red, as Chris Jericho put the hold on more and more. Finally, Triple H was able to power free, but the damage had been done, and both Jericho and Triple H knew it. Triple H tried desperately to get back inside the cage, but Jericho continued to assault him on the outside, preventing him from doing so. Triple H gripped his leg, in tremendous pain, and finally crawled inside the cage, before going under the ring and grabbing something, then getting in the ring. The Game held the item, and when Jericho came after him, he got blasted with what turned out to be a sledgehammer Triple H was holding. Chris Jericho went down, and Triple H got back up, picking up Jericho, and hitting the Pedigree, but before he could attempt the cover, Jericho fell out of the ring and started to crawl up the ramp, and eventually, Triple H chased him, bought him back to ringside, and smashed his head against the wall. Triple H then started climbing the cell again, daring Jericho to follow him, and "Y2J" did so. As Jericho got to the top, so did Triple H. Jericho got on the roof first, and started stomping on Triple H's fingers to get him to fall. "No, Jericho, don't do it! That's a straight 30 foot fall to the concrete floor! You'll kill him!" said King, as Triple H pulled out the ankle of Jericho and got up on the roof. Both men again began brawling, with Jericho trying for the Walls, but Triple H breaking free and hitting a Spinebuster on the roof, almost putting himself and Jericho through it. Triple H got back up and went for the Pedigree, Jericho however broke free, swept the leg and again went for the Walls Of Jericho, with Triple H again breaking free. Both men continued to throw punches at each other, covered in blood and barely able to move. Jericho tried to go for the Pedigree on Triple H, but The Game got out and hit the Pedigree on the roof, almost breaking it. He slowly crawled to the cover, and referee Tim White counted the pin and Triple H retained. Triple H retains the World Heavyweight Championship (22:39)"My god, this was an all out war. The Game and Jericho tried to kill each other, but on this night, Sunday, May 19, 2002, Triple H was destined to come out victorious. Goodnight, ladies and gentlemen."© 2002, World Wrestling Entertainment.

May 20th, 2002 | The Pyramid Arena, Memphis, TN
Raw was opened up with none other than Mr. McMahon walking down to the ring, with a microphone. "Last night, last night at Judgment Day, we all witnessed the end of Ric Flair's reign of tyranny, the end of his stranglehold over Raw, and by god, I can't lie, telling Ric Flair that he was fired and sending his ass out of that building felt pretty damn sweet. And as soon as I got backstage, I made a phone call, and I found the perfect replacement for Flair. He is a man of integrity, a man of fairness, and a man of ingenuity, ladies and gentleme-"Vince was cut off by Ric Flair's theme. Flair strutted down to the ring, holding a microphone. "You see, Vince, you are right, last night, I was fired from my position in WWF management.
But that was in WWF management. As far as my contract goes, I'm still an active competitor, and Vince, I want a piece of your ass, tonight!"
"You want me tonight? Well what makes you think you're gonna get me?"
"I had a feeling you'd say that, which is why I am willing to put my entire career on the line. If you beat me, I will be out of the WWF forever. Never to return."
"Alright, on one condition - I pick the match stipulation."
"Whatever. You got it."
"Okay, so, Ric Flair, let me introduce to you, my partners in tonight's 3-on-1, handicap match, Test and Chris Jericho!"Jericho and Flair made their own separate ways down the ramp, and joined Vince and Flair in the ring. Vince attempted to speak, but before he could, Triple H and Rob Van Dam made their respective ways to the ring. "Vince, you can stack the deck all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that every man in this ring has a score to settle with each other. Jericho, you and I put each other through hell last night, but we both know this isn't over. This is never going to be over. Vince, you and Flair have had a feud for months. Test, RVD, you two didn't find a clear winner tonight. So, I'll give you this, Vince. What do you say we make this a 6 man tag team match? Me, Flair, and Van Dam, versus you, Test, and Jericho.
That is, if you've got the balls."
"Woah, Mr. McMahon isn't going to like that one bit."
"You want all of us tonight? You got it."Flair, RVD, and The Game smiled.
-Commercial Break- Booker T and Goldust vs Steven Richards and Raven Booker T and Goldust win after a Shattered Dreams/Scissors Kick combination (3:21) Stone Cold Steve Austin made his way to the ring. "Last night, you were all expecting to see me and Eddie Guerrero fight it out one last time, but that didn't happen. Because when you get a feud like ours, it can be settled in any old match. Eh eh. A singles match just isn't gonna do it. So what I'm getting at is, whoever this new General Manager is, needs to get out here right now, and meet my demands, or am I gonna have to take Raw hostage once again?"
"I'M BACK! AND BETTER THAN EVER!" played throughout the arena, as Eric Bischoff returned to Raw and revealed himself as the new General Manager. "So, Steve Austin, you wanna call me out, huh? You wanna call out your new boss?"
"Yeah, I do, jackass, so are you gonna give me my match or not?"
"Heh. Steve, your time walking under me could go one of two ways. You could abide by the rules, be respectful, and be a model employee, and everything will run smoothly..
Or, you could continue to be the foul-mouthed, beer swilling, stinking piece of trailer park trash you've been your entire career, and everything will go horribly wrong, for you."
"Alright, listen here. I ain't changed for nobody yet, and I sure as hell ain't gonna change for a stooge like yourself, so I'm just gonna ask you this. Give me a match against Eddie Guerrero, next week, in the main event of Raw. If I win, I'm gone. No holds barred, loser leaves Raw."
"You got it."Austin smiled, dropped his microphone, and stunned Eric Bischoff before having a couple of "cold ones" in the ring. "Oh my god! Austin just stunned Bischoff!"
"That idiot, you heard what Bischoff said."
"Well, King, I don't think the Rattlesnake cares."
-Commercial Break- Eric Bischoff, stumbling backstage, ran into William Regal."Mr. Bischoff, I am so sorry!"
"Willie.. I need you to go out there and get me some revenge."
"Absolutely, sir, but how?"
"I want you to go out there and kick Steve Austin's ass. Go on, I know you can do it."Regal's jaw dropped. Bra and Panties - Women's Championship - Trish Stratus vs Stacy Kiebler Trish Stratus wins (4:38) William Regal was shown backstage in his locker room with the Un-Americans. "Come on, Bill! You can do it! Go out there and whoop Stone Cold's trailer park trash ass! Let's get em!Regal nodded and left the room. William Regal vs Stone Cold Steve AustinAustin looked at Regal as the match began, almost amused. Regal went straight after him, trying to sweep the legs, but Austin avoided it and stomped away on him in the corner. Stone Cold then held onto control for the rest of the match, toying with Regal, until the referee was knocked down, and Eddie Guerrero hit the ring with a chair, decking Austin, and dragging Regal to the cover for a huge upset. William Regal defeats Stone Cold Steve Austin (3:36)"I don't believe it. With the help of Eddie Guerrero, William Regal has beaten Stone Cold Steve Austin."Regal was joined on the ramp by the Un-Americans, who raised him up on their shoulders and handed him a microphone. Breathing heavily, Regal started to talk. "You talk about your "hell yeah's".. talk about your "Austin 3:16".. William Regal 3:16 says I just out-wrestled you sunshine." Maven vs D-Lo Brown Maven wins after a Halo DDT (5:00)
-Commercial Break- Triple H, Ric Flair and Rob Van Dam vs Chris Jericho, Vince McMahon and TestThe match was largely spent with McMahon's team in control, and Vince staying out of the match as much as possible. Flair's team had a small flurry of offence in the middle, but didn't really get going until the latter portion of the match when Van Dam came in. RVD rocked Jericho, Test, and even Vince with kicks. RVD then climbed to the top rope and went for the 5 Star Frog Splash, but in shades of Judgment Day, Mr. McMahon tried to pull him off and Flair and McMahon started brawling on the outside. Inside the ring however, Test hit the big boot on Van Dam, but Triple H hit the Pedigree on Test for the win. Triple H, RVD and Ric Flair win (9:48) The Game, Flair and Van Dam celebrated in the ring, but to the shock of everybody, Triple H attacked RVD. "What is The Game doing?!", yelled JR, as Van Dam got planted with the Pedigree, and Flair directed traffic. "My god, what has gotten into Flair and The Game?"!© 2002, World Wrestling Entertaintment.

"Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to UPN SmackDown! Tonight, after defeating Kurt Angle at Judgment Day, Edge will be in a action here tonight, and uh, speaking of Kurt Angle.."Kurt Angle came through the curtain, wearing a ridiculous wig, that was quite obviously fake. "Tazz, here's "Mr. Red, White, and Bald" himself, Kurt Angle, and let us take you back to Judgment Day this past Sunday, where, as you'll see here, Angle was shaved bald and publicly humiliated by none other than Edge." "Oh, go on, laugh it up. I suppose you all think this is funny, huh? Don't worry, I've heard all of the jokes. "Red, White, and Bald". "Bald Eagle". You might think it's funny, alright, but I don't. Have your fun, make your jokes, laugh at me, because quite frankly, I don't care. All of you people in this stinkin' town who are laughing at my expe-"Angle was interrupted by Edge's theme. The #1 contender for the WWE Championship emerged through the curtain to a roaring ovation from the fans in Mississippi. "Kurt, as I sat in the back looking at you, I, I just couldn't help but feel sorry for you, man. I mean, look at you. You already looked stupid, but this just brings it to a completely new level. And, just to help take the weight of now being hairless off of your shoulders, I wrote you a song. Hit the music!"Angle's theme began to play. "You're bald! You're bald! You're bald! You're bald! You're bald! You're bald! You're bald!"
"Alright! That does it! I've had enough of you. Tonight, I want your ass one more time. Me and a partner of my choosing vs you and a partner of your choosing."
"You want that? I have no problem with embarrassing you again, Kurt, you're on." Raven vs Tommy Dreamer Tommy Dreamer wins after a Dreamer Driver (2:11)
-Commercial Break- The Undertaker was shown arriving at the arena. The Un-Americans walked down to the ring with a microphone. Christian began talking. William Regal was notably wearing a "Regal 3:16" shirt. "You filthy yanks had better listen up, because you are in the presence of the most dominant group in WWE history. You've got the World Tag Team Champions, and two handsome young devils, "Captain Charisma", Christian, and the one and only Lance Storm. You've got the 6'6, 280lb reigning and defending WWE Hardcore Champion, and finally, you've got me. The man who defeated "Stone Cold" Steve Austin on Raw, and officially bought an end to the "Austin Era", William Regal!"
"Bill, it's funny that you mentioned how dominant we are, because myself and Lance have personified the word since we won these World Tag Team Titles. We've beaten all comers, and now, there just isn't anybody left for us to beat. Team after team, they've all lost at the hands of us. Canada's greatest exports, Christian and Lance Storm. And, hey, it's not just us destroying all of our opponents. The big guy Test right here, has beaten everyone there is to beat, and quite frankly, he should be the Intercontintental Champion right now, but that's a different story for a different time. Now, Test is gonna give one young buck in the back an opportunity to come on down and make himself famous."
"You heard him, I'm issuing an open challenge and I'm gonna put this Hardcore Title on the line. So come on down, somebody, anybody, and see if you've got what it takes."Maven's theme hit and he came through the curtain and down the ramp. Michael Cole said that he didn't fancy Maven's chances, especially with the Un-Americans surrounding the ring. WWE Hardcore Championship - Maven vs Test Maven wins after a roll up (6:49)
As soon as the ref counted 3, Storm, Christian and Regal started attacking Maven. As they beat him down, the crowd exploded when The Hardy Boyz hit the ring for the first time in a couple of months, armed with chairs. The Un-Americans left the ring and The Hardyz raised Maven's arm in the air.
-Commercial Break- Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman came to the ring. Heyman grabbed a microphone. "Ladies and gentlemen..
..my name is Paul Heyman, and I am prouder than ever to be the advocate and agent for this gentleman stood beside me, "The Next Big Thing", the next "King Of The Ring" and the future of not only this company, but this entire freaking business, Brock Lesnar!
Five days ago at Judgment Day, my client not only defeated, not only beat, but embarrassed and humiliated the so-called "Rabid Wolverine", Chris Benoit. And now, I hear you ask "what's next?" What's next? I'll tell you exactly "what's next". What's next is June 23, and the finals of the King Of The Ring tournament. It doesn't matter who else is in this tournament. Whoever has the misfortune of being placed into the semifinals and finals with my client will face the same fate of Chris Benoit, The Big Show, and, hell, maybe even Hardcore Holly. Brock Lesnar is going to eat you up and spit you out, because no matter what, this man is going to run through everyone, become King Of The Ring, go on to Summerslam and win the WWE Championship. So now, if you don't mind, we are going to sit in the back and watch this next match. But just bare in mind; be the winner Booker T or D-Lo Brown; Brock Lesnar is going to kill you." Booker T vs D-Lo Brown Booker T wins after a Scissors Kick (7:28) "Tazz, huge congratulations to Booker T, but you've gotta take your hat off to D-Lo; he gave that his all."Lesnar and Heyman were shown watching Booker celebrate on the TV backstage.
A recap of Judgment Day was shown. Lita vs Mighty Molly The returning Lita wins after a Litasault (4:17)
-Commercial Break- Kurt Angle came down to the ring first. "Since I know you're all dying to know, without further a do, my tag team partner for the evening!"Chris Jericho came out through the curtain and joined Angle in the ring. Soon after, Edge came out on stage. "Kurt, I've thought long and hard about this, and I've made my decision. This man needs no introduction."The fans in Tupelo exploded as none other than Rey Mysterio came through the curtain on stage. "Oh my god! Rey Mysterio is here in the WWE! Tazz! I can't believe it"Edge and Rey Mysterio vs Kurt Angle and Chris JerichoMysterio and Jericho began the match, going down with some mat wrestling and the technician, Jericho at first taking control, but Rey's quickness came into play and Jericho was forced to tag in Angle. Both teams went back and forth for the whole match, in a stalemate for control of the match. In the latter portion, Mysterio hit Jericho with the 619, and went for the Frog Splash, but Angle caught him and launched him across the ring with a Belly To Belly. Angle got up, but turned right into a spear from Edge for the win. Edge and Rey Mysterio defeat Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho (11:04)After the match, Edge ripped Angle's wig off. As he and Rey celebrated, The Undertaker walked through the curtain and stood on the stage. He and Edge stared each other down as SmackDown ended. © 2002, World Wrestling Entertainment.

"Hello everybody, and we welcome you to WWE RAW, live from The Great White North. I'm JR, alongside my broadcast partner Jerry "The King" Lawler, and tonight, one man will leave Raw for good King; as Stone Cold Steve Austin faces Eddie Guerrero for the last time in our main event.
I can't wait for that one, JR, but the biggest news in WWE this week was the shocking actions of both Triple H and Ric Flair last week at the end of Raw; attacking Rob Van Dam and, uh, speaking of the devils.. Triple H, accompanied by Ric Flair, opened up Raw, walking to the ring looking drastically different from the last time we saw him; having swapped his rough look for a clean shaven face and a suit. The Game grabbed a microphone. "..For the past week, I have heard just one thing from everybody. 'Why did you do it?' 'Why did you attack Van Dam?'. I'll tell you exactly why I did it. When me and Ric sat down last week in that locker room, I had an epiphany. I realised that by pandering to you people, I was doing nothing more than wasting my own time. For too long, I was coming out here every week and being your hero, but let's face it, we all know I'm better than that. We all know that I'm the best damn wrestler on the planet today, we all know that there is not a single person more deserving of this belt than me, and, quite frankly, there isn't a goddamn man walking in this company even worthy of shining this belt. I am The Game. I make the rules. I rule this company."Before he could go any further, The Game was interrupted by Rob Van Dam, the man who he attacked last week. RVD got into the ring with a microphone. Van Dam didn't say anything, instead dropping the microphone and knocking Triple H down with a Roundhouse Kick. The World Heavyweight Champion rolled out of the ring, and Ric Flair followed him. Van Dam then picked up his microphone again. "I'm gonna keep this short and sweet; I'm coming for you at King Of The Ring, and I'm coming for that World Heavyweight Championship."RVD threw down the microphone and did his taunt as Triple H and Flair angrily looked on from the stage, pointing and yelling at him. Trish Stratus vs Lita Trish Stratus wins after Stratusfaction (4:36)
Stratus celebrated her victory in the ring, but suddenly, a woman ran in from the crowd, attacking her from behind and leaving the champion laid out. "Wait, tha- that's Victoria! Victoria is back and she wants Stratus!"Victoria grabbed the belt, raised it in the air, and threw it down onto Stratus.
-Commercial Break- The Un-Americans all walked down to the ring. Christian grabbed a microphone. "We don't know who the hell you two freaks think you are, but nobody, I repeat, nobody humiliates The Un-Americans and gets away with it. Maven, Hardy Boyz, this is far from over. You might have made us all look like damn fools on Smackdown, but this is different. This is Raw. This Canada. Our country. And that also means, that we've got the home field advantage. So what we're saying is, get your asses out here, because Eric Bischoff has organised a 6 man tag team match, involving me, Lance and Test against you three." The Hardy Boyz and Maven all hit the ring, coming to blows with the Un-Americans immediately. The Hardyz, Storm and Christian spilled over to the outside, but Maven and Test stayed in the ring. The popular rookie was giving the big man everything he had, and backed him into the corner before connecting with punches and then a dropkick. The other competitors got back on the apron, order was restored, and the match finally began. The Un-Americans vs The Hardy Boyz and Maven The Hardy Boyz and Maven win after a Twist Of Fate/Swanton combination (7:13) "King, are we looking at the men who can finally dethrone the Un-Americans at King Of The Ring?"
"No. These Hardyz may seem good now, but what are they gonna do when there's no Maven and they're stuck one on one with the best team in the world today?" Triple H and Ric Flair were shown in the locker room. An angry, dishevelled looking Game, with his shirt ripped open and his hair messed up started yelling. "I'll tell you what the hell this is Ric, this is bullcrap, ok, that's what it is. If Van Dam thinks he can just attack me like that, he's got another thing coming, and I'm not gonna stand for it. At King Of The Ring, I'm gonna kick his ass and send him straight to the back of the line where he belongs. No matter what. No matter what." The Big Show vs Raven Big Show wins after a chokeslam (1:01)
-Commercial Break-
A recap of Judgment Day was shown. King Of The Ring 1st Round Match - William Regal vs Chris Benoit Chris Benoit wins after a Crippler Crossface"One hell of a technical contest there, King, hats off to both Regal and Benoit." Booker T was shown backstage, walking around his locker room, when suddenly, he was surprised by Goldust, who jumped up from behind, making Booker T jump. "Jesus, man, don't do that!"
"Alright, calm down."
"What the hell you doin'?"
"Just, settle down, settle down. I saw what happened on Smackdown, and you won the right to advance in the King Of The Ring tournament, and I just want to congratulate you and say good luck."
"Thanks, man."
"You know.. If you win this thing, you'll go on to face whoever the Champion is at Summerslam.. and right now, that man is Triple H. Triple H.. might be "The Game".. but we're the ones with the bigger.. joysticks.."Booker gave a strange look to Goldust. Loser Leaves Raw - "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs Eddie GuerreroBoth men made their way to the ring looking focused, obviously knowing what was at stake in the match. They began cagey, but Austin rushed Guerrero into the corner and took control in the early goings, grounding Eddie and keeping him on the mat. Guerrero then swung momentum his way, and Austin did the same. The match was very much a power struggle throughout. Both men wrestled for control, and by the later goings, both were very visibly drained. They began exchanging shots, with Austin getting the upper hand, and going for the Stunner, but Guerrero ducked it and spiked Stone Cold on his head with a DDT. Eddie went to the top rope and attempted a Frog Splash, but Austin avoided it and hit a Stunner. Eddie bounced off into the ropes, and Austin hit him with another to send Guerrero out of Raw and get the win. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin" defeats Eddie Guerrero after a Stone Cold Stunner (11:32)On the titantron, Austin was shown dragging Guerrero towards the back of the arena. He reached a door, and threw Guerrero out of it before slamming it. Raw ended with an image of Austin and Eric Bischoff staring each other down. © 2002, World Wrestling Entertainment.

I've been told all week long that Vince has had his eye on AJ Styles. Since Jarrett announced his new NWA-TNA company, Vince has been trying as hard as he can to snap AJ up before Jarrett does. Styles has been a free agent since WCW was bought out last year and since he wasn't locked into a contract, he didn't go over to WWE (F at the time) full time but he did wrestle one match against The Hurricane on Metal. If Vince is able to get ahold of him, on top of bringing in Rey Mysterio and Victoria's return, summer could be a huge time for WWE.

"Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to tonight's edition of Smackdown", said Vince McMahon from his office, as Smackdown began. "As some of you will have seen lately, the animosity between Kurt Angle and Edge has reached a boiling point, and that feud must be resolved. Tonight, for the last time, Kurt Angle and Edge will go one on one in a steel cage match, and just to make things a little more interesting, Edge's #1 Contendership to the Undertaker's WWE Championship will be on the line. Thank you, and enjoy the show."The pyro exploded, and Smackdown began. D-Lo Brown def Raven after a Lo-Down (3:03) Chris Jericho walked out onto the stage with an angry look on his face. He walked down the ramp, grabbed a microphone, and began to address the crowd. "I just wanna know one thing. Why, oh why, does some diminutive little midget freak, Ron Mysterio, think he can embarrass me and my good friend Kurt Angle on national television? I'll tell you what, it makes me sick that he's even allowed to be in this freakin' company, let alone compete in this ring. So, I'll tell you what, Reymond, come down here, so I can embarrass you once again."Jericho waited, and waited, but there was no sign of Mysterio. Jericho repeated himself, but still, the masked man was nowhere to be seen. "See, this is exactly what I mean. Randy Mysterio, as well as everyone else in this company, knows that they are beneath me, and hey, that's ok. That's just how life works. Some people are better than others. Some people just aren't good enough. Robert Mysterio is one of those people. But, I am still in the fighting mood, so this is what I'm gonna do. Any young buck there in the locker room, who thinks he has what it takes to beat me, can come on out here, and see if he has what it takes to stand toe to toe, eye to eye, man to man, Mano Y Mano, dude to dude, guy to guy, fella to fella, with the "Ayatollah Of Rock 'N Rolla", "Y2J", Chris Jeri-"Music started playing, and Jericho was interrupted by Randy Orton. "Well, Tazz, that's Randy Orton, we know this kid, he's a third generation superstar, grandson of Bob Orton Sr, son of "Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr, but does he have what it takes to beat Chris Jericho? He's already beaten Kurt Angle, he does have that on his résumé".
"Well, Cole, you're definitely right, this kid Orton is a young, talented, good looking kid with a bright future ahead of him, but he might have just made the biggest mistake of his young career.""Alright, junior, what makes you think you have what it takes? Huh? Come on, don't be shy."Orton didn't say anything, instead catching Jericho right on the jaw with a dropkick, causing the match to begin. The young upstart immediately continued his offence on Jericho, sending him into the corner and connecting with rights and lefts to the former Undisputed Champion. Jericho stumbled forward, and Orton caught him with a DDT. He immediately went for the pin, but Jericho wisely rolled out of the ring. Orton followed him, but Jericho was one step ahead and took him down with a clothesline. Jericho then kept control of the match, keeping the rookie on the mat with different holds, until Orton started to mount a comeback, catching Jericho with a dropkick and a power slam. As Y2J got back up, Orton hit an RKO from seemingly out of nowhere and went for the pin, but Jericho got his foot on the bottom rope. Orton got back up and complained to the referee, but it would prove to be a rookie mistake, as Jericho rolled him up with a schoolboy and a handful of tights to steal the win. Chris Jericho def Randy Orton (8:22)"Chris Jericho came out on top, but that was a very impressive showing for young Randy Orton, Tazz."
-Commercial Break- Test def Matt Hardy to advance to the semi-finals of the King Of The Ring tournament Kurt Angle was shown warming up in the locker room for his steel cage match with Edge. Billy Kidman def TajiriAs Kidman celebrated in the ring, a man in torn jorts ran through the crowd and into the ring, attacking the Cruiserweight Champion from behind, taking him down and hitting him with a powerbomb. As the champion lay there motionless, a woman got into the ring and joined the man. They both started kissing in the centre of the ring. "Tazz, I, I think I know who that is, is that.. Jamie Noble?"
"I think you're right, Cole, I think that's Jamie Noble, but what I'm more interested in knowing is who is that tomato with him?"Marc Lloyd was shown backstage, interviewing The Un-Americans. "Guys, at King Of The Ring, you're gonna put those World Tag Team Championships on the line against Matt and Jeff Hardy, earlier tonight, we saw Test defeat Matt Hardy, but I've gotta ask, are you nervous headed into this match?@
"Hold on a second, nervous? What kind of stupid question is that? Ugh, Marc, give me the mic and get the hell out of here. Matt, Jeff, we'll give it to you, you might have managed to get one over on us in recent weeks, but what matters is King Of The Ring, and when it comes down to it, nobody is more focused on keeping these championships than us. No matter what you bring, we will do what we've done all year long - dominate. And, you know, it's nice for a change to be in the best country in the world, Canada, to say this.
America sucks."
-Commercial Break- "The following contest is a steel cage match, where the only way to win is by pinfall, submission, or escaping the cage. Introducing first, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 231lbs, Kurt Angle!"
"Tazz, as heated as this feud between Edge and Angle has been, you've gotta admit - Edge has always been the one standing tall over Angle when push comes to shove, but tonight, that could all change, because if Angle can beat Edge here tonight in the steel cage, not only will he gain the bragging rights, but he'll also gain the #1 Contendership to the WWE Championship that Edge earned by beating Angle at Judgment Day."
"And his opponent, from Toronto Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 242lbs, Edge!"
"Not many men have had a better 2002 than Edge, Cole, and tonight, if he can beat Angle one more time, he moves on to King Of The Ring to face Undertaker for the WWE Championship."
Edge and Angle stared each other down at first, but as soon as the bell rang, they went after each other, exchanging punches to the head, with Edge gaining the upper hand and rushing Angle into the corner. Edge connected with spears to the midsection, but Angle avoided the last one, sending Edge shoulder first into the ring post, and then launching him across the ring with a German Suplex, followed by another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another. "Angle is taking Edge to Suplex City, Cole". Angle then went to what he knows best, mat wrestling, locking Edge in different holds and predominantly focusing his attack on the shoulder, looking to take the spear out of the equation. Angle locked in an arm bar, but Edge was wise enough to quickly roll Angle into a cover to break the hold. Edge then started to fight back, hitting Angle with shots to the face and connecting with the Edgeucution. Edge then, as quickly as he could, started to climb the cage, and made it to the top. Edge contemplated what he was going to do, but before he had a chance to do anything, Angle got back up, ran up to the top rope, grabbed Edge and threw him back into the cage with a belly to belly. "Oh my god, Tazz! Angle may have just broken Edge in half!" As both men were down, the first to stir was Angle, who got back up to his feet and started to climb the cage. Kurt made it about halfway up, before Edge got back up, pulled him off and hit him with a spear. Edge then started to climb, before Chris Jericho of all people came down the ramp to provide the distraction, but he was followed by Rey Mysterio. As Rey and Jericho brawled on the outside, Edge started to climb out again. Angle tried to chase him, but he was too late, as Edge got his feet on the ground before Angle could catch him. Edge def Kurt Angle (16:51)Edge celebrated in the ring with Rey Mysterio, as Angle and Jericho backed away up the ramp. As Edge celebrated, The Undertaker came down to the ring, just waking, holding his WWE Championship. Edge and Undertaker stared at each other, but The Undertaker then struck Edge in the head, threw Mysterio out of the ring, and dropped Edge on his head with the Tombstone as Smackdown ended. © 2002, World Wrestling Entertainment.

Raw was opened up with Stone Cold Steve Austin, walking down to the ring in his usual manner, before grabbing a microphone. "Last week, I took care of the yellow piece of trash known as Eddie Guerrero, and I got him fired from Raw. But you see, I still ain't satisfied. Uh uh. Eddie Guerrero was just one piece of trash on this show. There is one other piece of trash that I need to take care of, his name being Eric Bischoff. Eric, it's no secret, I don't like you, and you sure as hell don't like me, so, if things here with you and I are gonna work, I suggest you come down here, and we air whatever grievances we may have with each other.Eric Bischoff's theme started to play. "Steve.. Steve.. Steve. What makes you think that I want to co-exist with you? Huh? When two weeks ago, you stunned me in this ring, and have done nothing but disrespect me since I took over management of this brand? You're right. I don't like you, in fact, Austin, I hate you. I hate your guts. I hate everything about you. I hate everything you stand for. You, Steve Austin, represent everything that's wrong with modern day America. You're a foul mouthed, beer swilling, bald headed, ignorant, stupid piece of trailer park trash, and two weeks ago, you made the biggest mistake of your life when you attacked me."Bischoff shoved Austin's shoulder. "Well, Eric, if you hate me so much, then why don't you fight me? Actually, what do you say, you fight me at King Of The Ring. One on one, we find out who the better man is, huh?"
"Heh.. Do you think I was born yesterday, Austin? Why would I agree to fight you at King Of The Ring?"
"Two reasons. Reason #1; What I'm about to do. Reason #2; This."Austin flipped Bischoff the bird, and hit him with another Stone Cold Stunner. The GM of Raw fell to the mat, as Stone Cold enjoyed a couple of cold ones and left up the ramp. Bischoff, breathing heavily, started to talk into the microphone. "...Austin... You want me... At... King Of The Ring... you got me.""The Texas Rattlesnake" laughed and enjoyed another beer on the ramp. Maven def Tommy Dreamer (2:03) Rob Van Dam, walking backstage, was stopped by Mr. McMahon. "Rob, could I have a second please?"
"Yeah, sure."
"..Right. Yeah, there's something that needs to be addressed. You haven't defended that Intercontinental Championship in over a month, and, I'm a man who's all about fairness, and it just wouldn't be fair if you could sail along without having to defend your title. But, I wanna make things interesting, and to give the fans the best match possible, I'm going to put you in the main event tonight. Yeah.. In a ladder match, for that Intercontinental Championship, and you'll be defending against Chris Jericho. Good luck, champ!"
-Commercial Break- The Un-Americans made their way to the ring, with Christian grabbing a microphone. "In three weeks, we put these titles on the line against The Hardy Boyz. Now, I understand that some of you people might like Matt and Jeff Hardy, but the fact is, they represent everything that's wrong with modern America. They come out here, dressed like a pair of idiots, doing ridiculous stunts to try and impress people, and now that they've won a few matches, they think they've earned the right to face us. Well let me clear one thing up for you, boys; we are no joke. We will run through you like every other team is gonna run through the United States in the World Cup. America sucks!"The Un-Americans def Colt Cabana and Ace Steel (2:01) Victoria def Jackie Gayda (3:46)After the match, Victoria grabbed a microphone and started to speak. "For too long, this division has been filled with talentless little skanks who aren't even worthy of lacing up my boots. It's time for a change. Starting tonight, the Women's division will become about one thing; wrestling. No models. No actresses. Just wrestling, and I'll make sure to start as I mean to go on, by beating Trish Stratus at King Of The Ring."
-Commercial Break- Eric Bischoff, Raw's general manager, made his way down the ramp, flanked by six or seven police officers, holding a microphone. He got into the ring, and the officers formed a wall in front of him. "If "Stone Cold" Steve Austin thinks that it's funny to lay his hands on his own boss, then he has another thing coming, quite literally. Steve, I know you've been doing your whole "badass who disregards all authority" schtick for a while now, but tonight, you crossed the line. When you grabbed me and gave me a Stone Cold Stunner, you put your hands on your boss, and that is what is known as assault, my little friend, so I'm requesting that you make your way down here, because you've got some explaining to do to eight of Texas' finest."Bischoff stopped talking, and Stone Cold's theme song began to play and he walked down the ramp until he was stopped by the officers. Bischoff egged them on, but one of the officers got into the ring and said something to Bischoff in his ear, to which he replied.. "What the hell do you mean, "provoked"? He attacked me."
"He may have attacked you, Mr. Bischoff, but you provoked it. Legally, we cannot convict someone if it was an act of self defence."
"Do you know who I am?"
Bischoff shoved the officer.
"I'm Eric Bischoff, god da-"The officer grabbed Bischoff and tackled him to the ground, before placing him in handcuffs, and ordering the other officers to drag him away, kicking and screaming. Stone Cold laughed as Bischoff was forcibly removed from the arena and into the back. "JR, this is a travesty! Do you know what they do to people like Eric Bischoff in jail?"
"I dread to imagine, King, but like it or not, he had that coming. You do not put your hands on a police officer." Maven def Tommy Dreamer to retain the WWE Hardcore Championship (4:17)
-Commercial Break-
As we returned form commercial break, we saw Eric Bischoff being forced into a police car as Stone Cold looked on, laughing. WWE Intercontinental Championship - Rob Van Dam vs Chris Jericho"This match was made by Eric Bischoff earlier tonight, King, and, uh, I understand Van Dam is a fighting champion and all, but competing in a dangerous ladder match cannot bode well for Rob Van Dam, just three weeks away from a World Heavyweight Championship match with Triple H at King Of The Ring."The champion and challenger stared each other down as the match began. Both men began things very cagey, circling each other, both men daring each other to make a move. Jericho teased a lock up, but it was a ruse, as he would rush Van Dam into the corner and connect with strikes to the neck and back of the head. Van Dam fell down, but Jericho didn't let up, and started stomping away and using his boot to choke the Champion. Van Dam rolled under the bottom rope, and Jericho followed him. "Y2J" sent the Champion head first into a ladder, before rolling back into the ring. Jericho went for a suicide dive, Van Dam avoided it by rolling under the bottom rope and then diving over the top and onto Jericho with a topé of his own. Both men were slow to make it back up to their feet, but Jericho got there first, and resumed his attack on RVD. Dropping the Intercontinental Champion throat first across the security wall, before sending him spine first into the ring apron and hitting with a knee to the midsection, folding the Champion in half. Jericho then grabbed a ladder, got in the ring and began his ascent, leaving RVD down on the outside. Jericho only got halfway up the ladder, however, before Van Dam got back up on the apron and connected with a springboard kick to the head, knocking Jericho off of the ladder and almost taking himself out in the process. For the next part of the match, Van Dam tried to ignore the ladder and instead focused on wearing down Jericho and taking him out of the equation, but the challenger was having none of it, and instead it was Jericho connecting with a series of high impact moves, including a bulldog, a spinebuster and even the Walls Of Jericho for a brief period. Jericho continued to assault Van Dam, until eventually the champion fell out of the ring and Jericho once again began his ascent up the ladder, but stopped when he once again saw RVD getting back into the ring. Jericho grabbed him by the head, but Van Dam pushed him away and connected with a big roundhouse to the side of the head, and started to climb up the ladder, but before he could reclaim the title, Jericho grabbed him and he hit the mat after a huge powerbomb. Jericho slowly got back up and then rolled out of the ring to grab some more weapons. Jericho grabbed a short ladder, a steel chair and a taller ladder before throwing them all into the ring. "Y2J" positioned the chair in the corner, and left one the ladders on the mat and stood one up in a corner. Jericho tried to send Van Dam head first into the chair, and he thought he had, but as it turned out, the Intercontinental Champion had stopped himself and grabbed the chair, and as a result proceeded to throw it at Jericho and hit the Van Daminator. Jericho fell down on his ass in the corner, and Van Dam looked at the ladder, then at Jericho, and then at the chair in his hands, then at the ladder in the center of the ring, and it became clear it was do or die time. Van Dam had to choose between going for the Van Terminator or climbing the ladder and taking the belt, but he chose the Van Terminator. Van Dam climbed the ladder, threw the chair at Jericho and connected with Van Terminator, putting his own body on the line to take out Jericho. "Van Dam may have connected with that Van Terminator, but is it gonna prove costly in the long run?" asked King, as RVD crawled across the ring to the ladder, and tried to climb it, but before he could, Triple H hit the ring and started attacking him. The World Heavyweight Champion started kicking away at Van Dam in the corner, before throwing a ladder on him, hitting the Pedigree, and handcuffing him to the ropes. "The Game" could be heard yelling at Van Dam "You're nothing, you hear me, nothing! This'll teach your ass to get involved in my business". Triple H left up the ramp, but in the ring, Van Dam was stuck in the corner, handcuffed to the ropes. Jericho realised this, and climbed to the top to steal the win and the Intercontinental Championship. Chris Jericho defeats Rob Van Dam to become the new Intercontinental Champion (15:27)Jericho ran away up the ramp, over-celebrating, as a pissed off Van Dam sat in the ring, a far cry from his usual calm self.
