Well most know of my issue with JAKKS CS version of the Giant John Studd as we all know he was the only true Giant of Professional Wrestling as he was #1 , Bundy #2 and Andrea who he cut his hair was #3 ! Now I tried everything starting with the Andre red boot mod but it made the legs look thin like a mattel and calfs were to big and dont get me started with the white knee pads so I reversed that mod after scrubbing with goof off and a brush for hours and then I tried my clear risers on the bottom of the shoe which is nice for display but not for in ring action . I was now pretty desperate and I found the Ralphs pants option for the Giant and thought if JoJo could make them just perfect it would give the Andre red boot mod even a bulkier look but it was not to be see photo though JoJo tried her best but dont you gotta love Ralphs for all they do for us ! My next stop was to go full blown Andre torso and hire a painter but it would then greatly effect the scale with Hogan and such so heres what I came up with and since Andre mid 80s was already broken down I even added some bad posture to balance the scale. I try to always keep everything natural Jakks so its fully poseable and I used no glue , paint decals ect but I was bummed when I noticed the Ankle of my donors boot was a slightly different color then the heel foot part on both sets I used ? And thats why I love Jakks always something wild just when you think you beat them ! Heres two of my 3 failures

Nice work, you nailed it!! Thanks Man I got thrown off a bit on the right leg as the boot paint was uneven as my guide and thats the key so they lay flush before I prong them but other then Jakks doing a two tone regal red boot I was pretty please as I wouldnt normally try a mod like this but The Studd problem has bothered me for a year . Its the best of both worlds for me as hes now big enough against Andre and not to big versus Hulk or along side Heenan and Bundy and I can even make other wrestlers taller or shorter if need as long as I have taller boot and a short boot to work with .

I seen a barry windham someone did that was like your idea years ago. i myself went the andre root with studd as i like that "giant" vibe from him. i took the boots off and dremelled the rounded leg part down and the cups on the boots that sits in to make him a lil shorter then andre. But i love love love what you did. its clean and looks natural. its definitely some next level stuff man and you should be very proud of it.

Windham would be rough for me as the boot isnt flat but I could probably cut higher and the knee pad would cover the cut but I also like the andre figure to Studd but when I do scale across the board Studd/andre is just to big for me so if it bothers me I may take down Andre a 1/2 inch or so but I also like posing older Andre slouched over . I figure someone had to do it with all the creative people here as I just grind it down on a wheel and use the boots as a guideline and try to keep it flush so they lay perfectly even then I metal prong it with 5 posts . Thanks again its great some still appreciate the Jakks CS !

Looks good but unless I missed it you didn't actually state how you made the final mod. What legs did you end up using? Please share
