As you can see, even in the official photos from Mattel, the paint lines don't match up with then sculpted "eye" on the mask. I've looked through at least 60 of these in person and have yet to find an instance where the paint lands on the sculpted lines. Does a correct one exist?

Same thing happened on E24 Rey. The "teeth" on his face paint didn't line up on his mouth.

Yeah, but I've seen those painted correctly. I've never seen this Sin Cara done well.

Mine's close enough that I didn't check twice. Sorry you're having such a hard time with finding one you like.

easy fix with gold marker As long as you mean a gold acrylic paint marker. Normal markers and Sharpies don't do so well on figures.

easy fix with gold marker No, it isn't. This would require both black and gold to lay the black lines where they should be and paint the gold under it correctly.

right up there with that awful paige figure huh? Big difference in questionable design and manufacturing error.

Sin Cara's masks have always had sketchy paint apps.

At least I've always found one that was acceptable though. This particular figure just can't catch a break it seems.
If anyone has one where the paint matches the sculpt, I'd looove to see it.

The design is slightly different from the actual mold. That is why it will not sit perfectly on the mold

That's what it's been looking like to me, but I'd been holding out hope that it wasn't just a design flaw out of negligence.

Damn, what a bummer that this appears to just be the way it is. That's super weak. Oh well.

Same thing happened on E24 Rey. The "teeth" on his face paint didn't line up on his mouth. Yeah, mine was like that. What an awesome figure, made ugly by a horrible botch on his face.

Not a big deal breaker for me, tbh.
