Your company is at the point where they have to capitalize off of other brands stars. shoptna.com/sting-an-icon.aspxWonder how long it is before we see a best of Hogan DVD. Haven't watched TNA in a while because I felt like the brand got stale but when you still got guys like Roode, Aries, and Hardy, you're going to put out a DVD on Sting?

He's kind of a TNA legend. I would have no problem with TNA releasing a best of AJ, Christian Cage, or Christopher Daniels DVD. Also wouldn't mind WWE releasing a best of The Hardys or Kurt Angle DVD.

They are using footage that they own to create a DVD of a current hot topic in the world of pro-wrestling? They must think this is a business or something..

I don't really think there is anything wrong with this. Sting is a hot topic right now in wrestling and it's just smart business, nothing wrong with trying to make extra money. Plus, he is a legend in TNA, one that just left, so the company releasing a DVD on him is fitting. He hasn't had a DVD made in a while so I don't see the issue with it.

How is there anything wrong with this? It's smart business. Sting was in TNA for a long time anyway.
It seems like some just find anything to complain about TNA.

Only problem I have with this is the cover. Don't like it.

Say what you want about TNA and their failures, but you have to give them credit for stuff like this. Sting is in a marquee match at WrestleMania, he's becoming even more popular and is now being introduced to a new age of fans. TNA is smart to put this DVD up for pre-order around this time. Say a kid wants some Sting merchandise and their parents aren't fans, a quick Google search would bring up this DVD. It is an intelligent move on TNA's part, just like it was when they hyped the CM Punk matches that they have on their On Demand service back during the Summer of Punk. Strike when the iron is hot.
Smart move on their part.

It's smart. You can't fault them. Sting shouldn't have signed that contract if he didn't want this happening.

This isn't a dumb decision other companies like roh also do the same thing releasing DVDs of CM punk, daniel bryan, etc it's a smart move imo.

I've got no problem with this but I do have an issue with their commentary. Whenever they start naming former heavyweight champions, nearly everyone they name is gone and many of them are now with WWE. TNA needs to elevate the amazing talent they have and leave the past in the past.
And completely off topic, but someone PLEASE tell me that Hogan was never TNA champion. I wasn't watching much when he and Bischoff were in charge.

Smart Business Decision, in my opinion.
That being said, I'm about 1,000% more likely to buy Unbreakable 2005 than I am this DVD.

Jeff Jarrett's attack on Hogan in Japan in 2003 was far more entertaining than Hulk's entire time with the company.

Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Macho Man Randy Savage, Sting, and Jeff Hardy should have all been TNA Legends Champion at least once each. The Big Red Belt could have been used as a Senior Circuit Championship for Pro Wrestling. At least all those who had it when it was named Legends were, or eventually became, Legends of TNA.

Like others, I realise it is purely a strategic business move, nothing more.
