Could anyone else see this happening? Hogan has said he wants another match, and Axelmania has presented them with a golden opportunity to do it and have it make sense, while also keeping it short and doable for the 60odd year old Hulkster.

I don't see it happening this year, and next year by this time the Axelmania movement will be already dead. So I don't think this will ever happen.
Edit: Well this of course is, if they don't start to do this thing with Curtis Axel every Royal Rumble.

I marked out when Hogan threw a punch on Raw last Monday.
As an almost 40 year old, I grew up watching Hogan. I'm pretty sure he's a real life superhero and legitimately immortal.
In TNA, I used to like it when Hogan would come out each week and just punch guys. If he did that in WWE, I'd be fine with it. I'd actually look forward to it and it wouldn't necessarily have to be every week. I'd be all like, "I wonder who Hogan is going to punch in the face this week?"
If I was booking Mania, I'd have Hogan introduce the Andre Battle Royal, Axel come out and cut the promo he's been cutting since the Rumble, and Hogan eliminate him with one punch.

I think it's entirely possible that Hogan wins the Andre Battle Royal this year. If Hogan can't physically do another singles match, then coming out to the ring, tossing a few guys out, and eventually hitting Axel with the big boot and leg drop is going to be the best it gets for him. I genuinely don't care honestly. That's probably best case scenario if I actually have to see Hogan wrestle again.
I'm not seeing a situation in which Hogan ever gets to be in another legit match if it's not some kind of gimmick match or a tag match where he takes absolutely zero bumps. Hogan became like Flair for me in TNA. It was just to the point where he needed to stop and wouldn't, or didn't know how. Vince is using Hogan perfectly as a promotional tool. I wish Hogan could just sit back and enjoy the ride and all the admiration and stop getting caught up in thinking he's still got it.

This makes sense. Wouldn't surprise me to see Hogan get involved somehow.

I hope not. I love Axelmania, I hope he gets a push or something with this.

I hope not. I love Axelmania, I hope he gets a push or something with this. Axel is getting a push though. It's the same way Sandow was getting pushed by losing each week as a different character. Axel getting mic time and tv time is the push. Him having matches and losing is pretty secondary to his gimmick. The gimmick really only works because he loses. This is the most entertaining Axel has ever been imo and I think people are rallying behind him right now because he's in a jobber role.

I think Hogan already did his part on Raw with the Snoop Dog thing....I think if they do something again at Mania it'll be Stone Cold or Rock's turn to hit they're finisher on him and toss him out of the ring.

I could really see Axel come out and cut an Axelmania promo, challenge anyone backstage, Hogan comes out, 1-2-3 punch, boot, leg drop, pin, pose. A nice send off for Hogan, and an actual payoff for Axelmania.

I agree with you on that this is the most entertaining he has been.

I was afraid they'd have Hogan in the Andre Battle Royal just to do something with the AxelMania deal. When they did the segment with Snoop Dogg on Raw, I was relieved, since I figured that was the way to do it without Hogan having to take any bumps. At this point, for him to do anything at WM 31 concerning Axel, would just be overkill.

I guess there is a slight possibility this could happen but I wouldn't want it to take up time honestly..

I personally don't want to see hogan in a ring. The man can't take a bump, and the leg drop is a bump in it self. If hogan can't even do th leg drop, then I don't want to see him wrestle in any capacity

I don't want to see Hogan drop anymore Atomic Leg Drops. First off, the move is too devastating. It ends careers and emits radiation. It would take Axel's head off and leave him a decapitated corpse.
Secondly, I like Hogan and I would feel bad if he had to deliver that move again. I think it would hurt him. Sometimes it looks like he's struggling getting up. Years of delivering the Atomic Leg Drop have left Hogan's legs irradiated.
Punches to the face, that's enough for me. I want to see him punch Rusev in the face, then turn to Lana and be like, you're with me now.
He could work an entire program with Rusev over Lana that was all promos and punches to the face, but no Acolades. I don't want to see Hogan in the Acolades.

Do not want a Hogan match ever again no matter how short or silly.
Never before, never again.
He can't. He won't.

I could see it happen, but I hope it doesn't. There's more things that could go wrong than right at this point with Hogan.

I'm pretty sure Hogan could do a leg drop man. The guy's still in fabulous shape. If he couldn't bump to that degree, then he wouldn't be able to maintain his shape to the degree he has.

NO. His in-ring career is over. That punch on RAW was the weakest Hogan punch I've ever seen. WWE should let Hogan be TNA Hogan at this point, he was a damn good authority figure there, he could be in WWE if Vince stopped using him as a red and yellow billboard for Cena and the Network.
