1)Eddie Guerrero (actually kinda sad to eliminate Kane so early - I've always thought he's highly underrated as a performer)
2)Mr Perfect (Never saw more than a high spot artist in Hardy while Perfect was phenomenal)
3)Stone Cold Steve Austin (Sorry AJ, you might be King of the indies, but Austin ruled the world for a while)
4)Rob Van Dam (actually a tough call for me - Cena can put on a helluva match, but RVD is a slightly more versatile performer)
5)Undertaker (mad respect to Nash for his contributions to the business, but this was a really easy choice in my mind)
6)HHH (This was hella tough, but it came down to the fact that I could never believe Steamboat as a heel)
7)Kurt Angle (again. so tough, but Angle was so good right from the start, so he gets the nod)
8)Macho Man Randy Savage (GAH!!! How the hell do I choose between Savage and HBK!?! - Can we do a tie? If not, I've got to got with Savage for the simple fact that anytime he was performing, I was interested, whereas HBK had some kinda down years before finding his stride)
9)Rowdy Roddy Piper (Really easy for me. Hulk Hogan might get the credit, but Roddy Piper was the guy who made WrestleMania. Fans didn't come to see Hogan. The came to see Hogan beat-up Piper).
10)Ric Flair (Owen was never going to achieve better than an upper mid-card role IMO. Great wrestler, but Flair was just better).
11)Edge (Jeeze! Another amazingly tough choice. CM Punk is one of my all-time favorites, but he walked away (for good reason IMO, but still) and I have no doubt that Edge would still be there week in and week out if he hadn't gotten hurt and been forced to retire, so he gets the nod)
12)Chris Jericho (really easy choice for me. Brock is a guilty pleasure, but he's not even close to be half the wrestler that Jericho is)
13)DDP (Probably gonna get hated on for this, but I don't get what people see in the Rock. He's a great stick-man and has some good facial expressions, but he's an average wrestler at best.)
14)Ravishing Rick Rude (Gutted to have to ax Sting in the first round, but I truly think Rick Rude was one of the most underrated performers of all time. Should have been World Champion a few times over, but was always just sort of in the wrong place at the wrong time)
15)Bret Hitman Hart (sorry Bryan. You're probably the best there is right now, but IMO, Bret Hart truly is the best there ever will be)
16)Mick Foley/Cactus Jack/Mankind (If Hall could have stayed sober, this might have been a closer match. Or maybe not. Mick Foley never fails to entertain me whenever he's around)
Gotta say, this was really tough. Kinda wish we could have gone with 64 for the first round so guys like Bruno Sammartino, Jake Roberts, Ted Diabiase, Barry Windham, and Vader could at least get a mention.
And tag teams... Gotta do a tag team tourney when this is done, right?

1. eddie 2. perfect 3. austin 4. cena 5. taker 6. HHH 7. angle 8. HBK 9. hogan 10. flair 11. punk 12. brock 13. rock 14. sting 15. bret 16. foley Gonna go ahead and guess that Bret Hart wins this. Maybe Shawn. Shawn has much tougher competition in his opening round, I wouldn't be surprised to see Savage go through over him. True. Though I think if he gets through he has a better chance of winning than Savage does if he gets through, if that makes any sense. I think it's looking like the Macho Man is taking it though right now.

Really glad I came on today, I don't watch wrestling anymore (though I caught WrestleMania) but I still love these tournaments done around here & it's kinda rare one comes up that I can actually participate in so count me in.
I. Kane ~ Not going to lie here, Eddie is better than Kane, in just about every way but Kane's my guy. He's the reason I got into wrestling, playing WrestleMania X-8 (terrible game) at my cousin's house was pretty much my gateway & the one character who piqued my interest was Kane. When I finally started watching, it was to see him (maskless at the time [2006]) & he managed to be as entertaining as I hoped. Love the character, his matches were consistent if nothing else & he just has a bigger spot in my heart. II. Mr. Perfect III. SCSA ~ Honestly not a big fan of him in the ring but his promos are golden & his character is one of the best. Though "What?" is unforgivable. IV. RVD ~ Kane may have been my gateway but RVD would surpass him. For the longest time after watching RVD's DVD & seeing his ECW matches, especially those with Jerry Lynn or Sabu, he became my favorite wrestler. He doesn't hold that title anymore but I still like him better than John Cena, who I've almost always been a fan of. V. Undertaker VI. Triple H ~ I have a lot more exposure to Triple H so if it was a little more even I might have gone with Steamboat since he's pretty awesome in everything I've seen him in. But, Triple H is pretty awesome too. One of the best on the mic & his in-ring work is pretty solid too. VII. Kurt Angle ~ Sorry Christian, you've been one of my favorites for a long time but Angle is on a whole other level. He's only second to one. VIII. HBK ~ He's the one Angle's second too. IX. Hulk Hogan ~ Surprisingly tough for me but Hogan steals the victory for me. Even not counting nWo, I think I'd still give this to Hogan, if only for Hogan/Warrior. X. Owen Hart XI. CM Punk ~ I have a pretty weird history with Punk. Not too long after I got into wrestling in 2006, he debuted on ECW & not too long after I got out of WWE, Punk left. But that's not the weird part back before his infamous shoot promo, I was on a hiatus from wrestling. I frequented wrestling sites so I knew he was in the title picture but thought nothing of it come Monday & decided to go to bed instead. However, I woke up about fifteen minutes before Raw to my surprise & decided to catch the Roulette because I knew Punk was on. & the end of the show kick-started my favorite time as a wrestling fan. His straight-edge life style also connected to me, his mic work & in-ring skills were also great though he has misfires on both ends. I love Edge, don't get me wrong but I got to go with Punk. XII. Brock Lesnar ~ The only thing more entertaining than seeing Brock utterly decimate his opponent is watching his classic matches with Angle. XIII. DDP XIV. Daniel Bryan ~ Outside of Savage/HBK, this "match" sounds the most appealing. XV. Sting ~ Horribly booked mess at Mania aside. XVI. Cactus Jack ~ His best persona.
For the most part, if I didn't leave a comment it's because the choice was too easy to bother explaining.
