I saw many people thinking/suggesting it would happen. People saw Rollins cashing in afterwards and beating Reigns or Lesnar. Nobody saw him cashing in during the match and making it a 3-way which is the first time someone with the MITB has ever done. Usually they cash in after the match, but Rollins didn't do that. And plus it was the first time at Wrestlemania too. I meant exactly what I said. I saw many people suggesting he could/would/should cash in during the main event.

Pro wrestling is a business where finishes can change. As someone who has booked matches, I have changed a match or 2 midway through just based on crowd reactions or a change in creative. The first time Austin Aries won the title, it was decided that Roode was going to retain. But due to how hot the crowd was that night, they changed the finish literally minutes before the pinfal.

I don't get it, though. WWE knew that a large portion of the crowd wouldn't be on Roman's side, so why not just book Seth winning in advance? Not like they just rolled into Mania and were like, "Oh crap, they don't like Reigns, better change the ending."

I wish Roman would have gotten pissed and put himself in the dog house honestly.
The poor guys career is getting murdered before it can even begin thanks to Vince's stupidity.

I knew something was up because Reigns looked in a real bad mood during his entrance and I even saw him push a fan out of the way. Fell bad for him tho if this is true.

honestly... considering the way the Anoia family apparently reacted to them switching the finish from Reigns winning it, this was probably for the best. could you imagine if Roman had time to let them know, like a good hour or more? they would've been carrying on and let tons of fans in the audience realize that Roman wasn't winning by their conduct . and in today's connected, digital world, it would've spread like wildfire across the internet and all the wrestling websites what the finish was going to be.
this way it turned out to be a big surprise. if it was known at the beginning or during the show? I think it would've been spoiled.
and, like it or not, douchebag move or not...this is part of the business throughout it's history.
Pedro Morales wasn't tole he was losing the WWWF World Championship until an hour before his match.
Hulk Hogan quit the AWA and came back to the WWF in 1983 with the promise of the World title, only for Vince Sr. to change his mind a few days before the match ( Vince Jr. was able to convince his father to put the Belt on Hogan)
Ted DiBiase was only told a week before WrestleMania IV that he was no longer winning the World title Tournament, like originally booked ( or at least TOLD it was being booked)
Bret Hart was told the night before WrestleMania IX that he was dropping the Title to Yokozuna, after being told all along he was going over.
just last year alone, Batista was going to win the World title at Mania XXX, only fo the Yes Movement to change Vince's mind.
...yeah, sometimes these things are booked weeks, even months in advance. but, like it or not, these situations become "living things", for lack of a better term, and fluid, changing situations depending on what is going on at the time. in the end, Vine has to take care of his business, and do what he thinks is "best for business", rather than worry about hurting some feelings.
I DO feel bad for Reigns, if he was promised the Belt. but at the same time, he knows what business he's in, SIKA knows what kind of business this is, and they BOTH know that things can change, even at the last minute, whether the talent likes it or not.

They probably told Reigns he would be the one to beat Rollins for the title. It will likely all set up Reigns defending against Lesnar in a rematch at Mania next year. Give Reigns time to establish himself. Have Lesnar and Rollins feud non title mid year.

I mean they made the right decision, but they should have made their mind up long before the day of and handled it professionally. By handling it that way you put everyone in a bad spot. Agreed......This is a very clear insight into the way things are handled currently backstage....and IMHO? It aint good. The sad thing is the WWE has been doing this for years. I've heard stories that Booker T didn't know he was NOT winning at WM19 until the day before the event. The WWEs plans were for him to win until they signed Goldberg and everything got flipped around.

I like that WWE does things at the day of the event, because that way spoilers don't get out. Rollins cashing in was a huge surprise. Really? They've been teasing a cash in for months. I think I would have been surprised had Seth not come out during the main event.

WWE has always been known to do this regardless of the match, you here superstars always saying how they weren't informed about match outcomes until just before. Could you imagine the backlash on RAW if Reigns did walk out champion, the man is gonna get John Cena heat for the rest of his career because fans will always think he's the WWE's next guy with any signs of a push.

Well, at least there's two of us. How didn't these guys see this coming a mile away? See it coming a mile away? Calm down, nobody expected Rollins to cash during the match and win the WWE title. I didn't see it happening during the match but I thought it was obvious that it would happen at WrestleMania.

A small part of me actually feels bad for Roman.
You've been built for a year to replace Brock as champion.
Get the Royal Rumble win and headline Wrestlemania with being told you are going over.
You get to Wrestlemania still thinking you're the man and then an hour before get told everything is changing and you are losing?
That would be tough.

Wow that is pretty crazy.
But I guess I am glad it happened like this since I would not want to be spoiled 100%.

Pretty unprofessional from WWE but I don't care. It was such an epic moment.
