Every time Ive gotten stuff signed guys have only wanted money if it isnt personalized. I guess they figure if they write "to Andrew" on it, it kills the value on eBay.
Last one I got was a Scott Hall. Could not have been cooler.
Mick Foley was awesome. Those of yall who had a bad experience must've caught him on a bad day or asked if it hurt when he got thrown off the cell.
Ric Flair was cordial but a bit standoffish. Loosened up when I brought up Charlotte...
Dibiase was nothing but nice to me. Signed two figures and a pciture all for free. Must've been a venue issue.
Duggan was super nice. I met hin several years ago helping Dave Penzer move out of his house.
Kevin & Dave Sullivan kayfabed me at Penzer's house one time (my older sister babysat his kids). Funny stuff. Evad signed, Kevin didn't. When I came back w my sister the next week he had left a WCW shirt signed for me.
William Regal was very shy but gracious.
Fit Finlay was AWESOME.

A little off topic but I think the story is worth it....Vince McMahon did a presentation at the business school where I attended undergrad back in 1996/1997 or so. He showed the nacho man and huckster videos that were airing on tv at the time. He introduced Stephanie and when she stood up and waved people were whistling because she was so hot. He wagged his finger as if to say, "Don't even think about it." Keep in mind that this is before she was on tv. After it was over he stayed around and signed everything anyone had for him. He also took as many photos as people wanted. People had figures that he signed but he didn't comment on them really. He did converse on any topic you wanted but was really trying to combat wcw; it was almost as if his while point in being there was to spread his brand and battle wcw. You could tell how determined he was to bring wwf back to prominence. Vince gets a bad rap for a lot of things but his graciousness and staying around as long as possible that afternoon is something I will never forget.

I understand that..... though, to those (few) of us with no intention to profit - it makes the wrestler look bad, especially when they are at an event signing other items for no charge... As I said, it was well worth the $20 (to me) to add this piece to my collection - but it made Dibiase look like a bit of a prick to my wife, and myself... Yeah but how does he KNOW you're not gonna go out and rake in couple hundred bucks anyways... That doesn't matter. If its a free autograph signing the autographs should be free. No matter what you have signed. To single out people because they might sell something on Ebay makes you a greedy bunghole.

Met Cesaro at Axxess 2 years ago and got his debut Basic signed. He looked at it and said "ah it's beautiful isn't it?"

No matter what you have signed. To single out people because they might sell something on Ebay makes you a greedy bunghole. the more signings they do, the more their signature is out there. essentially, their signature becomes less valuable. The less figures they sign, the more figure signature will be demanded. they do too many signings of whatever people bring, the amount they get paid probably goes down Over time because they're not in demand in other words. an eric Clapton signed album, will be worth alot less than an eric Clapton si gb ed guitar. not because a guitar cost more than a record, but because he doesn't sign as many.

I had Lex Luger sign his elite right after it came out. He stared at it for a minute, leaned over to show it to Vader, and said to both of us, "well it's been a long time since I looked like that!"

Met hogan in September and had him sign his bash at the beach Jakks exclusive. We talked about how it was the beginning of the nWo. He seemed genuinely interested in the figure. Was very gracious to me and my wife. She was kind of standing behind me and he made sure to have her come up and shake his hand. He was very cool

I'm not super into autographs, but I guess I do have a story to share. It's not figure related though.
One time, I was at Super Mega Fest, and Ron Simmons talked me into buying an autograph I didn't even want.
No one was at his table, and as me and my kids were walking by we made eye contact and then started talking. After talking for a few minutes about his Tag Title run during the Attitude Era he tried selling me an autograph.
Like I said, I'm not super into that, but he kept lowering the asking price and I felt bad, so I bought one.

You can't have constant autograph signings and complain that your autograph isn't worth as much as it used to be. Its your own fault for over saturating the market. If he doesn't want to sign figures for free fine, but it should be listed in the rules ahead of time saying that you will be charged extra.

YOU ASSUME THAT IF I LIKE PASTA FOR INSTANCE, THAT MARUCHIN IS JUST AS GOOD AS FETTUCINI. YOU ARE USING A STRAWMAN ARGUMENT... I LOVE MY ORIGINAL AUTOGRAPHS...AS JUDD NELSON SAID IN BREAKFAST CLUB...GO CRY WITH YOUR MOMMA, NOT TO ME.

I've had a few experiences with signed figures.
Kevin nash was real cool when I had him sign my TNA RI figure a few years ago at Comic Con in Atlanta.
I do remember M$M not being very talking as I had him sign my EG figure at the 2011 NWA LEgends fanfest.
Roddy Piper was also at the 2011 NWA Legends Fanfest. At that time my son was 1 and was hitting the button on it while in line to meet piper. When we got there he played it himself, said I love it, talked with my boy for a sec and patted his back. Then told me to tell my son "Roddy Piper patted his back" my son hasn't forgot as he is now 5.
I had Mick Foley sign the 3 facey of foley set that Jakks had out and he signed all three gimmicks and took a look a them for a sec. He's a nice guy.
Be careful around Jimmy Valiant as he will get you if you stop at his booth. I went to him just to get a mask signed and by the time I walked away I had a signed figure and childrens book. He's very nice but knows how to get you.
Daniel Bryan is realy nice I had him sign my figure at a Raw show a few years back.
Big E is the same say he commented that he loved the figure I had which was the 1st one released of him.
Kofi & RTruth are always coming to see fans at shows and I have both of them on a figure. Real neat figures.
I had Barbarian sign his classic figure at the 2013 Wrestlecade. I've heard stories about him but he was nice. He did charge $10 but I was prepared for that.
I have the Rock N Roll Express classic figures signed by them both. They are always great. However when Robert seen it he mentioned they didn't do to great on him.
Ted Jr was real cool when I met him and signed my classic figure. This was also at a WWE show.
I met Iron Sheik at Wrestlereunion in Atlanta in 2011. He was real cool and signed my figure and talked for a few seconds.
Buff Bagwell is always nice to fans. I have his Jakks Classic Figure signed.
Met the Headbangers at 2013 Wrestlecade and they were real nice. I had them sign the Jakks bca Tag-Team Figures. They didn't charge anything and were excited to see it.
Drew McIntyre (Galloway) was at 2014 Wrestlecade and signed my figure. He was a real nice guy and took time to carry on a conversation with everyone. He signed my 3MB Mcintyre figure.
Terry Funk signed my Mattel Legends figure at the 2011 NWA Legends Fanfest in Atlanta. He was a nice guy to.
Stevie Richards signed my Jakks BWO figure of him at 2014 Wrestlecade. He was real nice as was all the BWO that day.
I have a few others but can't think of who off the top of my head. Never had any bad experiences with getting figures signed though.

I haven't got signed figures, but I have met and shook hands with the all time great wrestlers.
Dusty Rhodes - met Dusty at a wrestling event at a high school that I am going to now.
CW Anderson - My dad actually worked with his dad and my brothers went to his house and I have an autographed picture of him.
Jimmy Valiant- really cool guy, shook hands with him after his match
Ivan Koloff- Real nice guy, has a wrestling school in North Carolina and ended up getting an autographed picture of him
Tessa Blanchard- Really cool person to hang out with, and got her autograph and a picture.
