Did anyone else go see this yet? Curious what everyone else thought. I loved the send off to Paul Walker with the very heartfelt speech from Vin Diesel.

Just got back from it. ing loved it. So much fun. The acting wasn't the best, except from Russell and The Rock (yeah I said it!), but the ride was a good one. No pun intended. The send off was classy. I'll admit I had a lump in my throat there at the end. I await the next film with open arms.

The ending actually did me in. Good movie, great ending. The feels man, they were felt.

Fast Five is still probably my favorite but I thought Furious 7 was better than 6 though.
Paul Walker tribute was very nice and sad.

Let me start by saying I loved The Fast and the Furious, 2Fast 2Furious, and Fast Five.. The original movie is a classic, the sequel is fun and nostalgic, and Fast Five was such a blast.. It took me well over a year to watch Fast & Furious 6, and I absolutely hated it. I thought it was terrible.. I always support The Rock and I was (like everyone) curious about how they dealt with Paul Walker in Furious 7. It was a decent send off for sure but the CGI (even tho it was pretty flawless) still creeped me out a TON in the final scenes.
They did pretty well with the final act, not showing his face to often.. They barely showed him speaking.. The final fight between Walker's character and Tony Jaa was shot to death to avoid showing Paul Walkers face.. That was actually impressive.. I loved the Rock Bottom, but I absolutely hated how they took The Rock out of 90% of the movie.. I thought Tony Jaa should have had a bigger part, and they didn't use Jason Statham like they could have. And to be honest even though they're all actors, in the final act every single person looked emotionally drained and completely "over" filming that movie. I could see that Paul's death took a huge toll on them, and believe it or not I could see it in their faces and hear it in their voices.
The movie itself was not good. It was over the top and had plenty of overkill. I know it's suppose to be a crazy action movie, but the franchise has become a shell of it's former self. Fast Five put it back on track, but Fast 6 and Furious 7 quickly derailed it again.
I thought it was HILARIOUS when Lucas Black's character showed up from the Tokyo Drift movie. They showed the exact scene from Tokyo Drift with he and Bow Wow, then cut to a new scene with Black/Diesel and good god! Lucas Black aged 10 years in 6 seconds.
Personally I hope they don't make anymore. They will. But they really should just let it be.. The "send off" for Paul Walker at the end bothered me because while they were saying goodbye to his character (and to Paul), they also left it open to bring on the next sequel.. I thought about the movie the whole time I was driving home, and the more I thought about it the more the movie just didn't sit right with me.. I can say with 110% confidence that I will never watch another Fast & Furious movie again.

I have no plans to see it, as Six was dire and to me unnecessary.
Three and Five are my favourites.

I liked the first three F&F films. Watched 4, 5, & 6, but they were all "meh" to me. I'll watch the seventh at some point, but I can't say that I'm in a hurry or hold much hope for it. They're decent action flicks, but nothing special.

While I think the series in general suffers from frat boy "you're my bro, bro" syndrome, I will say that Fast Five is one of the best action movies of the last decade and The Rock's Hobbs is just about the most quintessential movie badass of all-time. That's the only movie in the series that I really care much for... Fast Six (or whatever they call it) was okay but I barely remember anything that happened in it or what it was about. Just the airplane ejaculating a car or something.

Thought the movie was ok. Fast five is still one of the best in the series with the first.

This flim is one of the worst flims ever made. Overrated rubbish. Terrible actors (except the rock), terrible fight sceans. Terrible storyline. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. 2 AND A HALF HOURS OF HELL
Pay to see the rock, and his only in it for 16 minutes.

It was great. Sometimes you just want some fun over the top action. The Fast and Furious movies provide that.

I probably should have watched all the other flims first, instead of starting at number 7

I probably should have watched all the other flims first, instead of starting at number 7 You think? If you haven't seen the others you have no familiarity with the characters and their motivations and history. The movie assumes you have a base knowledge of them.

The F&F series has become what the Expendables franchise wanted to be.
