After hearing about the death of James Best, I went digging through my old toy closet at my Grandparents yesterday to find the following Mego Treasures: Entire 1981 Dukes of Hazzard Figures MOC, Entire 1977 CHIPS Figures MOC, 3 or 4 of the 1976 Happy Day Figures MOC, 1980 Michael Jackson Figure MOC, and a 1977 Farrah Fawcett Tribute Doll MOC.
I had literally forgot all about these, heck they probably haven't been touched in 20+ years. I think I have more of them but I'm not sure, next time I visit I'll look and take some pics. Thought I would share though! Enjoy!
I also think I have the Dukes of Hazzard Cars, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know if Mego made them?

I grew up on Megos. And that was sad news hearing about James Best passing. Watch alot of him in many Western Channel movies and show.

Have the heads of your CHIPS figures discolored? If not, they can be worth a lot more. I'd love to see some pictures.

Great find! I don't remember owning the 8" Dukes. I had the 4" Dukes and General Lee. I'm pretty sure those were also made by Mego. The General Lee had a hatch on the roof to put Bo and Luke in their seats because I think it was impossible to slide them through the windows like they did on the show, lol.

According to the Megomuseum.com, Mego never made the General Lee for the 8 inch figures. They could have easily re-painted the Starsky & Hutch Torino car, though.

They made a General Lee in the 3.75" line.

Have the heads of your CHIPS figures discolored? If not, they can be worth a lot more. I'd love to see some pictures. Ill try to go visit them this weekend and take some pictures. I wished I had space to keep them at my home, but my wrestling and antique collection has took over all of that. I sat down yesterday and tried to remember all of the toys I left at their home. I must be a millionaire in the works, if everything is still MOC and not melted to floor of the attic. lol

I was born after the Mego days. They seem pretty cool to collect. Robot Chicken has boosted their popularity
