I think his life started to go downhill once his daughter died. He is quite entertaining, though.

Too bad he couldn't be that entertaining on wwe tv. The dude is hilarious. But he was a very big deal in the early to mid 80's than people give him credit for. Really, without him who can say certainty that Hulkamania would exist.

The twitter account is not managed by Sheik. He does not write well and even in a video (maybe on youtube) he confirmed he doesn't do it and even stated something like he can't "read, write or tweet." Anyone who has met him at an autograph signing knows how much of a chore it is for him to write a fan's name on a photo. I have a few items where my name is misspelled and even his Colonel Mustafa name. But I love them because I love Sheik. Even working as a major bad guy, I appreciated his character.
As for him as a person, I've met him a lot of times and have heard stories about him both and from all I've seen and gather he's a great person but he has his demons, of course and it's a shame. He is someone who loves his fans and was even known to sign autographs for fans even back during his big time heel days.
The thing that always sticks out in my mind about him is from the stars of the 1980s dvd where he cites his religious beliefs for being an honest person and wanting to be loyal to Vince Sr. It may not mean a lot to many but it probably means a lot to Vince Jr. and to anyone who grew up on WWF in the 1980s and followed Hulkamania.
